Demon Lord: Erotic Adventure in Another World-Chapter 807: Duel
"W-Wait, Asmodeus...! So you’re telling me there’s a powerful Abysal in the ocean, and because of that disgusting monster, it’s more than likely the contaminated water issue is due to that thing?"
"That’s exactly what I said, Vinea."
"There’s no way... such a thing, how can we manage such a catastrophe?!"
Vinea slammed the battle, her brunette hair bouncing from the force as she glared at Asmodeus. However, maybe she realised it wasn’t his doing and lowered her gaze with a huff. "S-Sorry, I didn’t mean to..."
"It’s fine, Sister Vinea. Don’t go easy on this idiot..." Serena’s proud voice followed up before Asmodeus could register Vinea’s actions.
In the grand meeting room, all the women close to Asmodeus sat with dark expressions after hearing the news from Baltimore and Alice’s research. He couldn’t help but glance across their faces, half-stunned and half-impressed at his ability to get around.
Vinea.
Asmodea.
Alice.
Velvet.
Ciela.
Nerim.
Lumina.
Serena.
Levia
Erika.
Sariel.
Riel.
Then the two who were absent due to an important ritual. Yuina and Yumiko would both arrive at the empire tonight. Then there were Gretel and Valena, who were extremely close to him.
While Mei became a spirit trapped inside Nerim.
Women from all three nations gathered under one man. Issues for their nations became his issues because of his title, protector of the continent.
"Wait!" Asmodeus lifted his hand. "Let’s not get angry at each other about this."
He glanced at the woman he shared so much of his life with, then took a deep breath.
"I have already decided that Lumeria will act as the vanguard for this issue."
"Asmodeus?!"
"Darling... You can’t!"
"Even you might not be immune to this...!"
Erika, Levia and Riel voiced their emotions at his words, while quite surprisingly, Sari glanced at him with her playful eyes and then nodded.
"I will follow my dear master’s rules."
"Eh?! Sari... but why?" Riel glanced at the blue succubus with wide eyes.
However, Sari wasn’t the young, immature succubus anymore. After giving birth to a lovely girl who enjoyed reading, learning, and books more than fighting, Sari’s atmosphere and actions changed greatly.
She stood from her chair and gave a polite bow to the centre of the table.
"Dear Master. I ask that you allow me to join you."
"Hm, are you sure, Sari? This will be extremely dangerous, and I cannot guarantee the Arbiters won’t take action either."
Her golden eyes flashed briefly.
"That would make me even more enthusiastic, my love." After she finished speaking, she turned to Riel and knelt, holding the nervous ancient succubi’s hands. "My other half, I hope that you will join me, so that we can protect our beloved together."
"...I..." Riel’s eyes peeked at Asmodeus out of the corner of her eyes.
Her lips parted, then she whispered something in Sari’s ear before nodding to her. The two of them stood up hand in hand, before bowing once more.
"Dear Lord, let us join you."
"Dear Master, Allow Sariel to join you."
As they spoke together, Asmodeus felt a strange tingle running down his spine, the comforting spark bringing a smirk to his lips.
’When they speak in sync like this, it’s both eerie and arousing.’
"It’s not like I can deny you, when you’re like this... but remember. It will not be an easy task, nor will we have time to fool around."
"Keh! You still owe us a week of uninterrupted lovemaking!"
"Sari?!" Riel’s soft brown cheeks flushed red as she slapped her twin with her tail.
"Why pretend to be chaste? We both know you call his name while playing with yourself the moment Thalys goes to bed!"
"SARIEL!"
"Keh Keh! Okay, I will stop, dear Sister."
Asmodeus pressed a finger to his lips while watching the two interact. ’Why does it feel like Sari is the thousand-year-old succubus and Riel is the newly born whelp?’
Clap!
"Alright, Alright!"
He clapped his hands and half stood, motioning for the two beautiful succubi to sit, "Although I would love to chat with you both for hours... There are others here who are dying to speak, and must be given their piece."
Instantly after his warning, the pair sat down, glanced at each other, before their lips curved into demonic grins.
’They got me!’
Tired of facing these playful nymphs, he dropped back into his seat, greeted by Serena’s long fingers stroking through his hair, curling it behind his ears. "Good work, honey."
"I would like to go first."
Vinea raised her hand into the air.
Despite the casual meeting, she wore half-plate armour and leather under her clothes. Asmodeus could tell that over the past few months, their relationship had been going through a rough patch.
With the addition of Nerim to his harem, he and Vinea entered a state of cold war.
She looked at him with the strangest of looks, ice cold, yet he could feel the desperate passion towards him deep inside.
’Is it pure jealousy, or something else?’
Ever since Ciela’s confession, no matter how childish it might have been for her to abandon everything, even if she was nothing but a figurehead between their nations. He announced her role to the entire Lumeria... if something happened.
’Well, I’ll endure it for her...’
He loved her after all.
"Then speak, Vinea," Serena answered, her eyes constantly watching Asmodeus’s face to know when to speak or help out.
"T-Thanks, Sister."
Ignoring her jealousy, Vinea always respected her elders and the other wives; it was just Asmodeus who faced the brunt of her emotions.
"Then I will first announce an official complaint, as a member of the black dragon knights and a reserve member of the Royal Guard." She pointed at Ciela, who jumped. "Ar’Ciela! Princess of the elves, how dare you abandon your role!"
"Heh?!"
All eyes focused on Ciela, who sat close to Asmodeus. She quickly straightened up while staring back at the aggressive Vinea. "What’s wrong with me doing what I want!?"
BANG!
"What of the people, and their thoughts?!" Vinea slammed the table with both hands.
"The people won’t care! From the start, it’s been Ar’Orina and Ar’Una doing all the public work, and I am just a figurehead. So why should I suffer away from his side while everyone else is free to do what they like?!"
"Immature!"
"Shut it, jealous bitch!"
’Whoa!’
Vinea didn’t let up and stood from her chair, hand on her blade.
"Just because we swore not to fight doesn’t mean I won’t drag your skinny elven ass down to the training field and beat some sense into you!"
Ciela jumped to her feet and snapped her fingers. A beautiful elven bow manifesting from pure elemental power fell into her palm as she drew an arrow in the blink of an eye, aiming at Vinea.
"Go on, try and dodge my arrows, you fat, deceitful human."
Asmodeus watched silently, enjoying the explosion of aura. It was the first time he felt his wives going all out in a long time. "Are you both sure?"
"What?!"
"What do you mean, darling?"
Vinea snapped at him, while Ciela acted more affectionate.
"I’ve decided that the one who wins your duel will join me for this campaign, while the other will perform official duties in the place of the other."
Ciela’s ears drooped as she whined.
"W-Whaaat!? You promised..."
"Fine! I accept.
However, Vinea seemed quite happy about offering this duel. She glanced at him, her lips faintly curved upward as she mouthed. "Thanks, babe."
The sudden sweetness after a while of putting up appearances while being cold in public sent a powerful jolt through his chest.
’Did my heart just palpitate...’
"What do you all think?" Vinea propositioned her sisters, glancing at each of them with a hopeful expression.
Velvet spoke first.
"Although I would like to join this fun event, I am in no state to... how frustrating. I will accept and overlook this duel. But have a question for Asmodeus. Will a duel be required for all of us to join you, or is this just a pseudo-punishment for Ciela?"
’Ah... she got me.’
Although he wanted to be sweet to his wives, he couldn’t. If they quit their important roles, he would have more work to do, and Lumeria would suffer. He planned to keep it hidden, but since Velvet caught him, he shrugged and chuckled back.
"You got me, haha. I know it’s on me for accepting her selfishness, and I will accept the punishment from you all later. But. If she wants to quit, there needs to be penance, while I was thinking how... Vinea offered me one on a plate."
Velvet nodded, her eyes scanning his face.
Then she smiled, "I know you’re sweet to us. More than we deserve, but sometimes you need to be a little harsher, husband. Though... I am on Ciela’s side, haha!" Velvet sat down and pointed at Lumina.
"I am fine, as long as she doesn’t betray us."
Lumina just nodded while knitting something with her silvery gold webbing.
"I concur, the duel must be held." Erika seemed to be on Vinea’s side, which Asmodeus put down to their training and closeness.
Levia also seemed partial to Vinea, while Sari and Riel just wanted to have fun.
Asmodeus finally glanced at Serena, who spent the entire time playing with his hair, tying a little braid that flowed down his shoulder. "How about you, My Empress?"
"Hmm..." Her soft glance instantly sharpened, snapping towards both Vinea and Ciela. "Don’t hurt each other beyond redemption, avoid harming the face... and after the duel ends, you both have to drink five barrels of ale together without leaving the room and make up!"
Serena then turned back to Asmodeus, leaning close to his ear.
"Dear Emperor, isn’t this what you wanted?"
His heart pounded.
He just stared into her beautiful eyes, unable to answer.
"Fufu, it seems I managed to keep you on your toes this time... my dear Asmodeus... next time don’t be so reckless. M’kay?"
There was a sharp dagger in her words... a warning. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Cold sweat poured down his back.
It was this moment that he realised how scary a woman’s smile could be.
