Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Compulsion

Adrian was taken by surprise when he got shot but the bullets fell right out and the wound healed in the blink of an eye.

It was hard to explain but he sort of knew that wouldn’t kill him as if that information just appeared in his head.

The voice in his head or instinct or whatever was giving him all this information also told him what would happen if he injected his poison into this guy.

Adrian could creat two types of poison, the one he used on the demon which will kill whoever is infected and this one.

His instincts told him this poison will change the target to be a member of his pack meaning a werewolf like him.

Werewolf, a weird name but a suitable one he supposed. Of course it won’t be active until the next full moon.

Then he will transform into a Werewolf and when he does he will go feral killing every living creature around him except wolves.

Adrian took his clothes and left, on the edge of the forest were the vehicles of the poachers.

He took their money out their wallets and ran to the city. He needed new clothes and possibly buy other things.

The clothes he was wearing were a bit tight, the first place he went was a gas station store but he cleaned himself first, removing the blood on his hands and face.

They sold some cheap clothes there, he bought a few and a bag then left. He found a motel to book.

However when he got to the reception he came across a problem, he still looked like a 17 year old.

" Where are your parents kid?" The woman on the reception asked him dismissively while chewing gum.

" I don’t have parents and I’m not a kid, now can I get a room please?" He felt impatient and could feel his beastly side waking up.

" ID." She outstretched her hand, Adrian sighed, dealing with this woman was getting annoying.

" I don’t walk around with my ID lady, I’m 19, I’m old enough to book a room so could I please just get one."

She shook her head, " We’re not allowed to give kids rooms without supervision, show me your ID or leave."

He felt anger rise up to his chest, his eyes turned silver. " You will give me a room and stop questioning me understood?"

" I will give you a room and stop questioning you." The woman answered in a flat tone like a zombie, her eyes having lost their spark of life.

Then her eyes returned to normal, she smiled at him. " Here, room 16." He took the key and turned to leave.

He had no idea what he had just done but he had a feeling he had controlled that woman’s mind.

Even his instincts didn’t make what he done clearly, it was there in his head but it felt blurry like an echo.

That meant he would have to figure that ability out himself like he would have to figure out his weaknesses.

He knew he had one but he didn’t know what they were. He closed the room behind him, took a shower and went to bed.

However he couldn’t sleep, he didn’t even feel tired so he just sat on the bed thinking about everything.

He was bored and realised he needed a new phone to deal with the boredom. He had enough money right now.

The poachers were loaded, he went back down but just as he was about to leave he saw the woman looking at him with fear.

’ It seems she remembers what happened. Perhaps I should try using that ability again and see it limits.’

" You will forget seeing me." His voice came out sounding like an ancient declaration like there were more voices hidden beneath his.

The woman blinked then gave him a strange and confused look. " Who are you? Are you here to book a room? You look too young where are you parents?"

She flooded him with questions. ’ Shit, went too far.’ he tried again but this time he was more detailed.

" You will remember me as Adrian Lunar, the handsome young man who has been living in one of your rooms for a year.

You will not remember me using any abilities of any kind." He commended then waited to see if it would work.

" Adrian Lunar, going out?" She asked in a casual time like they had been friends for a long time.

He stood there frozen for a few seconds, " Damn this is amazing." He said that outloud before he could stop himself.

" What is?" The woman asked, Adrian improvised.

" How gorgeous you are of course, hard to get used to." He answered with a flirtatious smile.

The woman giggled, " Flirting with old women are you, you naughty boy."

Adrian laughed, " It’s not flirting if it’s true." He shouted as he left the door. " Damn this is a broken ability. I’ll call it compulsion."

He went to the gas station store, it was the only one opened, they didn’t sell any good phones, he just wanted a snack.

He bought chips, fruits and chocolate. Just before he left three men with masks ran inside with guns.

" Empty the register now." They shouted at the woman on the cashier. She froze and tears started falling down her eyes.

" Now bitch." The woman screamed and rushed to open the register with shaking hands.

She looked terrified, Adrian walked slowly to the counter to pay. All four people paused and looked at him.

" Did I tell you to stop bitch?" One of them shouted while waving his gun at her. She flinched and continued loading the money on a plastic bag.

The three men turned their guns at him, " Yoh, you’re blind motherfucker? Can’t you see we’re busy?"

One of them asked him but Adrian ignored the guy and addressed the girl directly, " Her beautiful, how much will these cost me?"

The girl looked confused, she didn’t know whether to answer him or not so looked at the men with guns.

" Hey hey, don’t mind them, they’re just toothless dodge backing at a defenceless girl."

This seemed to piss off the thugs, " This motherfucker, you’re not afraid of death nigga?"

Adrian whistled, " Huuu, I don’t think you can say that, him I understand but it’s kind of offensive coming from you.

And for that, you need to be punished." His voice grew cold and his eyes turned silver glaring directly into the thug’s eyes.

" Shoot yourself in the head."
