Desire's Vessel: My Lewd Reincarnation-Chapter 47: Fall
In the royal palace, the Queen Mother opened her eyes and her body trembled vigorously and her limbs were extremely difficult to move or manipulate.
On her left sat Lady Elyria Valthorne in her prestine gown and her red hair hanging off her shoulders.
"Morning granny..." she said with a sweet playful voice.
The Queen Mother turned her head in shock, not expecting to see anyone or hear anyone in this part of the royal palace that were off limits.
But to her surprise, Elyria was standing over her son percival, with her foot pressed on his scorched neck.
The sole of her shoes scraping against the now dry skin of the King and the remaining soft tendons sizzled to the cool padding of the shoes.
"Tch! Its your fucking ’sugar boy’ isnt it? You’re not that reckless. This type of mad and irrational behaviour feels nothing like you and reeks of boyish immaturity. It must be that fool Zaja Thornhill who put you up to this fuckery..."
"I should have been more direct and chained that country destroying bastard without even thinking twice. But I got greedy and overly cautious, leading us into this disaster... what are the people of Ironforge Dominion going to think?! hell, the Ember Crown Empire and the blackfield gorge will see us as weak, we were broken down from the inside much faster than they could ever achieve..."
"Because yes, Elyria, while you might think you have pulled off the heist of the decade, by derailing Percival and Egil’s destinies, you have doomed us all," watching the variety of of sever burns all over Percival’s body, the Queen Mother said with her tone extremely weak and deflated.
Interestingly, though they had both been burned by the divine flames of Helios, the Queen Mother’s body showed no blemish or evidence of a burn, not even a scratch or red patch.
"There is no need to be dramatic now is there? Who knows, I might be here to help you." Elyria’s lips curled up, and she stomped on Percival’s neck, making the barely alive King to shake in a violent spasm constantly.
"You bloody fools. The Ironforge Dominion ominion’s destiny will impact all realms and realities. And Egil was the most important part of that destiny. If as I fear you have derailed his fate, then dear troublemakers... all the benefits in the world won’t be able to save you from catastrophe you have just triggered," the Queen Mother said in a disturbingly calm tone.
Elyria and the Queen Mother simultaneously stared into the distance, both of them looking in the direction of the House Valthorne domain, feeling the intense aura radiating from that place.
"Its all over..." as all the memories and events related to her grandson eroded her mind, the Queen Mother whispered, aware that somehow Elyria’s group had managed to derail her plans.
She knew within herself that she had messed up, everything was falling apart because of a youth she had never even met face to face and now centuries of building and planning had gone down the drain.
The Queen Mother’s fists trembled in frustration, and her nails dug deep into her flesh as she lowered her head in shame and gasped with a defalted look that said... ’I have given up’.
"You can go ahead and take my life now, I am of no use being alive, you and your boy practically own the country. I urge you to do so while you still have the chance, for you will not be getting another." still unable to move due to the internal damage she had suffered from Helios’s divine flames, the Queen Mother said, facing Elyria with provocative eyes.
Lady Elyria didn’t even bother to answer or heed her request, she raised her boots off Percival’s neck and walked past the Queen Mother with a series of leisurely steps.
"Spare me the mediocracy your grace, if the divine flames of Helios the number one god can’t kill you, then there’s no way in His name I can kill you. Fuck sake I don’t know where you came from or what your mutation is about but you are one tough nut, however I am not here to pick a fight with you. The reason I am here is quite the contrary, in fact. My beloved adoptive son wants me to offer you something of a helping hand," Elyria said with a sidelong glance, and stretched out her hands and subsequently two flaming swords appeared out of thin air.
Elyria adapted into a battle stance and the Queen Mother’s eyes widened in a mix of shock and fear. The next moment, violent vibrations rocked the royal palace left right and center, growing more intense as a column of scarlet light shot out from the royal garden, piercing through the sky.
A large veiny trunk emerged from the light colum outside, firing a flurry of sweeping vines and pole-sized branched in all directions.
Lady Elyria and the Queen Mother came running to the garden to see that a green skinned demon dressed with a large golden crown, gold inlaid pants, and sparkling jewels lay on the trunk, tied by coiling branches.
"Krrr..." the tall creature growled at Elyria while drooling as its gaze shifted between the Queen Mother and Elyria.
"What the hell is happening in helios name!! so that is what you were hiding here, Chlorophyll dmeons? I can’t believe it. Zaja was right. The royal family has been makiing deals with demons and got screwed over eventually..."
"With a disgrace. And here I thought our nation had zero tolerance for heresy and its leaders were actively participating in it!! I am utterly disappointed in you, Queen Mother," Elyria said with a jesting tone, causing the Queen Mother other’s face to twist into a grimace.
But then, the earthen tree started making its way forward and the Queen mother’s face softened into a wry smile.
The tree was known as the Yanezi Tree and it was a Chlorophyll demon that the royal family had entered a pact with, they used this demons abilities to enslaaved both citizens of the country and prisoners of war to benefit and enrich themselves. The Yanezi tree had controlling veins and it was this vines that was used to craft slaves seals for the slaves.
Another pact the royal family struck with the demon was that, in the eventual and unfortunate collapse of the country, the tree would provide a safe haven for them by transporting them to another realm for their saftey and to keep the demon happy and at peace, the royal family regularly conducted rituals by killing a random slave and spilling its blood on the roots of the tree.
In the kingdom of Ironforge Dominion and the Ember Crown Empire, it was against the religion to summon and forge pacts with demons. So for the royal family to actively be invovled in this atrocity , even while executing those who had done it was a massive disappointment.
Now, the Yanezi tree has come to fufil its side of the pact to transport the family to another realm as the country was on the brink of collapse. But what member of the royal family was remaining?
Elyria hissed with anger, and her eyes glazedd over casuing her temprature to rise and burn the air.

Over the next few minutes, blinding flames lit up the roayl palace’s sky, and as the queen mother watched in astonishment, she was utterly shocked to see elyria standing over the burnt up corpse of the Yanezi demon and its vines.
"You can not be serious!" the queen mother couldn’t believe it, and yet these were the reality of the situation.
Elyria made her way out of the pile as she watched arcane energy ooze from the dying demon, she spread out her arms and breath in the air to absorb some of them- not like she needed the extra arcane energy, her mutation allows her to use less arcane energy the more angrier she gets.
"House valthorne will send you the bill for this clean up job the day after tomorro. Do not dare be stingy, zaja thronhill loves money. So if you wish to impress him, you better empty that bank account of the royal family...:
"Do your best while the fees are still within your pay grade. You wont regret it." Drenched from head to toe in arcane energy ozzign out from the demon’s corpse, elyria said, walking past an utterly drumstruck queen mother and vanishing from the palace.
