The silver lining was that he was able to recover the lost Life Domination ability. All it took was some energy and game points from him.

It took 40 game points, which is half of what it would have taken to fuse a new ability with the Life Domination ability. This wasn’t much, but he could see how expensive attempting fusion could become in the future.

"So I have 1,810 game points now. Who would have thought that I used to have 2,900 some days ago?"

"I will have to spend more soon. At least the ability is good."

The failure and subsequent loss of 40 game points got to him, but it didn’t bring down his mood too much because he was looking forward to the speedster ability that he is about to get soon.

He decided to go and get the ability as soon as possible. So he visualized the tower of destiny and returned to the core of the world.

He moved to the 100th floor at the top of the tower. From there, he swapped positions with his shadow.

The shadow he swapped positions with was the one in possession of the speedster. So he directly appeared beside the speedster after replacing his shadow.

He didn’t have to think about a destination since his shadow was there. This use of his shadows circumvented the need to take some time to focus.

So he can instantly appear in the world and return to the core of the world with a single thought. This way, he can use it to escape in a fight.

The shadow had found a secluded place in the wild. So all he had to do was take the man’s ability.

He switched positions with his shadow and returned to the core of the world immediately after. He didn’t even destroy the body, so it became the shadow’s job to discard the body.

The shadow grumbled as it worked, "I was born to be a laborer. Woe is me."

Kelvin didn’t care about the grumbling. As long as it got the job done, he didn’t care much about whatever complaints his shadow has.

He was also in a good mood because of the ability he got from the speedster. This ability is called Speed Force.

This Speed Force ability is pretty common to every psychic speedster. Its counterpart for physique speedsters is the Supercharger ability.

Unlike the Supercharger ability, which increases the rate of metabolism in the body of the speedster, the Speed Force ability is a force field ability that enables the body to achieve speed beyond the capabilities of biology.

This difference is why psychic speedsters are the fastest types of speedsters. It is also why their bodies are weaker than their physique counterparts.

As psychic supers, they focus on their minds, not their bodies. So they will still be able to run with a bullet in their leg, whereas physique speedsters, who focus on their bodies, will be more difficult to injure and will be able to heal the injury quickly.

Kelvin was very happy for this ability despite it being an alpha ability. It can’t stop aging, be shared with others, or mess with time in any way, but it is more than good for him.

He became even happier when it fused with Juggernaut’s Armament. The two abilities are force field abilities, so they fused very well to create an Omega ability.

This Omega ability is Juggernaut’s Force. Its sheer power alone makes him nearly unstoppable. Thanks to its explosive attribute, it also promises to make anyone who manages to stop him experience a world of pain.

He activated the ability to try it out. Blue and red tattoos appeared all over his body. These tattoos then produce blue and red lightning.

He flashed and appeared at the edge of the tower. Then he punched forward.

Red and blue lightning shot out of his fist and exploded in front of him.

"Cool," he said with a smile. "Very cool."

He was very happy with the ability. It is one of the best abilities he has ever acquired.

He wanted to see what he was truly capable of, so he went up to the world above. Then he picked a direction and ran with all his might.

His acceleration was nearly instant. He reached his top speed in one second. That’s impressive because his top speed is six times the speed of sound.

He became a bolt of blue and red lightning moving at a speed that was a little above Mach 6. It was a speed that hovered around 2,100 meters per second.

He was so fast that he decided to see how long it would take him to go around the earth once. Not even mountains or oceans could stop him from doing this.

He plowed across the earth as he ran across both land and the ocean while trying to keep to a straight line. It took him about 20,000 seconds to circumvent the earth.

When he returned to New London later, he looked at the lightning in his hands and said, "Circumventing the earth in 5 hours 30 minutes. Where have you been all my life?"

He felt like a new man. His thoughts had become faster, and even his perception of the world had become better.

Everything is in slow motion now. It makes him feel as if he were a god.

He clenched his fist and said, "I might as well be a god. But in time, I will become even stronger."

The power he has acquired is intoxicating. But he knows that he is not unrivaled on earth yet. However, he expects that his need to fear demigods will be overcome soon.

He believes that as long as he continues to grow stronger little by little like this, he will reach that lofty goal soon. The next step on that journey is Reflex.

He smiled and said to himself, "It is time to meet that little punk. Let me see who will save him now."

He activated his ability and flashed into the city. All that was left in the position he was in a second ago were loud sonic booms.

He could use the tower of destiny to teleport to Rewind’s position, but he didn’t do that despite being faster. Instead, he ran there himself because it was more enjoyable.

But as he got close to the location, he began sensing a faint sense of danger. This made him pause.

He stopped to determine what the source of danger was instead of rushing in to grab the boy and leave with him.

What he noticed was that the source of danger wasn’t Rewind. The danger was coming from around him. There were several dangerous people lurking in the buildings around Reflex’s headquarters.

"So I was right. The boy is indeed bait. But is it bait for me or someone else?"

He is skeptical about the trap being for him because anyone that can threaten him has to be at least A-rank. He was far from that level of power when he killed the Count and up to two months ago.

He doesn’t think he is worth this much preparation.

He was wondering what was going on before he shook his head. "I have changed. I don’t need to be so cautious anymore now that I have powerful expendable troops."

He decided to use his shadows to spring the trap and see what it is all about. But that’s not the only thing he intends to do with them.

He is still hell-bent on getting Rewind’s ability, so his shadows will also assist him in getting it. He just isn’t going to rush head first into it.

He summoned his shadows and then sent them to spring the trap for him. There was no speaking between them because they knew what he wanted and what plan he had in mind.

So they didn’t spend any time planning. The shadows simply executed what he had in mind.

He didn’t send all his shadows into the fight because he wanted to use some of them to escape if need be. So some of them, like Glory-1 with the Solid Material Shifting ability, stayed in the core of the world while Glory-5 with his Extraordinary Perception ability stayed in the wilds.

He didn’t want Glory-1 to participate in the fight as he has the identity of Diamond Dollar. With this identity, he will draw a lot of trouble for his Dollar Cabal if he is to participate.
