Destiny Mission of game 'Star Ring'-Chapter 1523 - 1207: Looks Familiar (Second Update)
Su Mo couldn’t afford to be arrogant. Even though he easily killed that V-shaped General Level Blade Mutant monster, if he ran into a swarm, he’d have to make a run for it.
At this moment, Su Mo spoke to the Creator·Swallower: "Xiao Shi, don’t you think the Mecha is too big a target? It seems too easily spotted."
"That’s right."
The Creator·Swallower replied in a deep tone.
"Do you have any good ideas?"
Su Mo then asked with a smile.
"Nope."
"Ah~ this is a bit troublesome."
"What, are you scared?" 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"How could I be? I’m just being careful. We can’t underestimate our opponents. No one really knows what abilities these monsters have evolved."
Su Mo spoke to the Creator·Swallower.
"I’ll keep an eye out for you. If we’re spotted and things get tough, just take them down with thunderous force."
The Creator·Swallower paused for a moment before responding to Su Mo.
"Alright."
Su Mo replied solemnly.
...
In the starry sky, Su Mo piloted the Light of Sin Abyss, swiftly flying from one floating wreckage to another.
Upon reaching the new cover, Su Mo carefully observed the starry sky ahead.
The Creator·Swallower said in a deep tone: "See that? In the right-side area, hidden in the gap of that ship split in half, there’s a monster."
"I see it, I’ll go around it from the side."
Su Mo observed closely, and indeed saw a Blade Mutant in the gap, responding solemnly.
So he cautiously maneuvered the Mecha, circumnavigating through the side of the starry sky.
As he got closer to the enemy’s lair, Su Mo encountered ambush scouts more frequently.
He even stumbled upon a hidden scout cloaked by an obvious lookout, almost falling into a trap; these monsters were smarter than he imagined.
Just as Su Mo piloted the Mecha and advanced a bit further.
Su Mo suddenly tensed up, hurriedly piloting the Light of Sin Abyss to hide behind a meteorite.
In front of him, he saw an ugly-faced Blade Mutant flying past, riding on a IV-shaped Polluted Insect Race·Giant Mouth Flier.
"They’re even patrolling, seriously!"
Su Mo couldn’t help but complain.
"That means you’re almost there."
The Creator·Swallower replied in a deep tone.
"Mm."
Su Mo held his breath, then quietly lay in wait.
After about ten minutes, Su Mo confirmed the enemy had gone far, and immediately piloted the Mecha to rush forward quickly, heading for the next cover.
...
After much hardship, Su Mo finally reached his target area.
But the scene before him left him completely shocked.
In the distant starry sky, a massive Nest loomed large in view, the entire surface covered in chilling cracks, with mismatched gun barrels and numerous dried corpses hanging on it.
What shocked him most was the huge gap missing on the left side of the vast circular Nest.
At first glance, the whole thing looked like a crescent moon, with the center of the gap enclosed by something resembling a turtle shell.
Around the Nest, a number of Alien Ships wandered around. Those Alien Ships looked very strange, each maintaining basic ship structure while undergoing special modifications, their hulls protruding with spikes.
Apart from those Alien Ships, there were Blade Mutants riding on tamed monsters patrolling.
One could say the defense was more than just tight, no wonder Li Ruiqi and the others kept losing people sent to investigate.
"This nest..."
The Creator·Swallower suddenly expressed confusion.
"Do you recognize it?"
Su Mo asked puzzled.
"Let me think."
The Creator·Swallower pondered deeply.
Su Mo rarely saw the Creator·Swallower need time to think, his curiosity was piqued. Could this guy actually know this Nest? But on second thought, it’s unlikely.
Judging from the reactions along the way, the Creator·Swallower surely hasn’t been to the Demon’s Eye region, nor seen the Blade Mutants before; how could it have seen this Nest?
Nonetheless, Su Mo patiently waited.
As time ticked by, the Creator·Swallower suddenly spoke.
"I remember now, this is the Heart of Forbidden Prison!"
"Heart of Forbidden Prison? What’s that?"
Su Mo was stunned.
The Creator·Swallower explained to Su Mo deeply: "This was once one of the few major Nests of the Alien Race, the Heart of Forbidden Prison, possessing immensely terrifying power, stronger than the Kedora Planet Fortress."
"Damn, so what now?"
"But you don’t need to worry, the Alien Nest·Heart of Forbidden Prison was internally detonated back then, opening up a terrifying Black Hole, swallowing it. Unexpectedly, it’s drifted here. Though it hasn’t been completely destroyed, it should be completely paralyzed now, unable to move."
"You should’ve said so earlier, scared me there."
Su Mo let out a long sigh of relief.
"Actually, your chance is here, you’re going to strike it rich."
The Creator·Swallower said passionately.
"How so?"
"If I’m right, these Alien People should be the surviving descendants of the Blade Merciless Tyrant·Taylormac, evolved through mutation."
The Creator·Swallower replied deeply.
"What does that have to do with getting rich?"
Su Mo was a bit puzzled.
"No matter how these monsters evolve, their genes continue to carry Alien DNA. One deeply rooted trait of Alien DNA is collecting stuff in the Nest. You can tell from the surface of that damaged Nest, those gun barrels were added later. The original fortress’s entire armament was long destroyed. And how much derelict ships, monsters, ores, and more does this Demon’s Eye absorb? Imagine how much these Alien People would loot and store within the Nest. At the very least, look at that dilapidated Nest, its main structure is still good stuff. Even after such a terrifying explosion, just a hole blew open, the main body remains firm; imagine how sturdy it is. Even if you just drag it out and melt it down anew, you’re rich."
The Creator·Swallower excitedly told Su Mo.
After hearing all this, Su Mo was truly tempted, but he remained rational.
"But the opponents seem unusually strong, even the outer patrols are well-equipped, not to mention the inside, it’s hard to guarantee there isn’t some formidable presence."
"There’s an old saying, ’success comes with risks’, what’s there to fear? Besides, as long as you don’t run into a VI-shaped Heroic Level presence, there’s still a chance."
The Creator·Swallower grimly replied.
"Alright, so what do we do now?"
Su Mo’s expression fluctuated, eventually going all in with the question.
"Isn’t there an old saying among you humans, know your enemy, know yourself, and you’ll always win! We’re going in for reconnaissance, to thoroughly understand the situation inside."
The Creator·Swallower replied in a deep tone.
