Mykel and Javelin followed the paved road until they found a massive tower that reached the sky. It made Javelin feel obnoxious and made the peaceful and calming feeling disappear in an instant. She could tell Nymphea was in that tower and if the feeling that she felt didn't come from the tower, that meant it was Nymphea who released such a terrifying aura.

"That's too high. I'm too lazy to walk that high," Mykel said as he created a fireball in his hand.

Mykel threw a small fireball on the tower that looked like a fire from a match that tried to burn a skyscraper. The moment it hit the wall, the destructive power was beyond Javelin's expectations because it almost looked like an atomic bomb.

Javelin would have died if Mykel hadn't created a barrier to protect them both from the shockwave and the heat. The explosion could be seen and heard from the city and made everyone look at the sky that turned bright.

"That destructive power is almost as powerful as my meteoric strike..." Javelin looked at the damage and noticed the tower was tilting and about to collapse.

"You might want to stay away. She's coming," Mykel warned as he looked at the silhouette of a person with massive four wings that were wide and sharp like bat wings.

Two fireballs could be seen behind the thick smoke, and then they were thrown at them at a tremendous speed. Mykel snapped his fingers and exploded the fireballs which had similar destructive power as his fireball but were two times worse since it was two fireballs. Knowing how dangerous it was, Javelin ran away as far as she could the moment it was safe to run away.

Four fireballs could be seen forming, but then they multiplied to eight, and sixteen until they became thirty-two. All of them were fired at Mykel, and this time Mykel didn't do anything and let the fireballs be. Before they could hit him, they got extinguished and disappeared into thin air like a fire blown by the wind.

Mykel snapped his fingers and created twice the amount he received and sent them toward the silhouette. When they all exploded, it looked like fireworks, a terrifying one, but purple smoke absorbed the explosion a second after they exploded.

"He's smirking even though his attacks got absorbed..." Javelin was in disbelief.

The silhouette descended and landed on the ground in the blink of an eye and didn't make a sound. The moment it walked past the thick smoke, a woman in a black dress covered in jewels with her short dark red hair appeared. She was two times taller than Mykel and she was walking toward him with her wings spread widely. Her wings were fifty meters long and they were dragged, scraping the ground.

"It was you..." The woman said. "The one who stole my sisters' souls..." she squinted her eyes, barely showing her red snake-like pupils.

Mykel could smell the roses from the woman's body, and it would be enough to put a charm on everyone. They would die long before they realized it, and even Javelin started to get affected by it seeing how her eyes were fixated on the woman. It wasn't fear, it was admiration and awe.

"I have to admit that you're strong and no wonder my sisters lost to you, but you should have known about the truth. Do you still think this is the best thing for you to do? To kill all of us?" She asked with her arms crossed.

"If you can defeat me, then I'll let you live," Mykel answered. "But if you can't, then I'll kill you," he added.

"It has been a while since I have seen that kind of arrogance," She smiled widely, showing her hideous teeth like lampreys, hundreds of sharp teeth that filled inside her mouth.

"You look pretty when your mouth is closed," Mykel said.

Nymphea used her sharp claws and slashed them at Mykel, but Mykel blocked them and punched her right in the stomach, pushing her back to the ruined tower. She hit the wall and rolled over on the ground, clearing the rubble from the ground. She immediately stood up and flew toward Mykel with super-hypersonic speed.

Javelin didn't know what had happened, but she got tripped away by the shockwave and her ears were ringing painfully when the sound tore apart. She couldn't do anything but create a temporary protective barrier while she created a magic circle that had a powerful magic barrier.

Mykel was excited when Nymphea took his punches and kicks like they were nothing. He kept rising to his strength and she kept enduring it as she grew stronger the longer they fought. It was a treat for him because he could finally release some of his power and it made him wonder how far she could take it.

The sound of the sky tearing apart made everyone in the city tremble because they had never heard something like that before. The rumbling sounds made their hearts skip a beat and it felt like the sky was collapsing when they heard it. They wondered what happened out there, but at the same time, they would rather stay in the city because they knew it was the safest place.

Javelin was stunned by the fight between Mykel and Nymphea because she couldn't see them and yet she could see the clashes. She was so stunned that she forgot to blink her eyes and breathe, and her mouth was opened until her teeth and tongue dried out.

When she was busy watching the sky being torn apart, she saw something falling not far from where she was hiding. She saw Nymphea with her face covered in her own blood, coughing the remaining blood out of her mouth. Her wings were torn apart, and broken, and unable to use them anymore, but the worst part was that her body was deformed.

The battle lasted only for a few minutes, but Nymphea was already in that state. Javelin wondered how bad Mykel's condition was if Nymphea looked like that.

Mykel landed on Nymphea's chest, unscathed, uninjured, only his suit and shirt that were torn. He was looking at her and slowly bent his knees so he could see her face from up close.

"Were you going easy on me?" Nymphea asked as she gargled in her own blood. "You don't have to answer it. You won't be able to go easy on those two later..." she smiled as she stared at Mykel.

"I did, but I didn't underestimate you," Mykel answered as he put his hand on Nymphea's chest. "It was fun. I enjoyed it," he said as he pierced Nymphea's chest, taking her life essence forcefully.

Mykel walked down from Nymphea's body before it turned into ashes and then he looked at Javelin who was still stunned. He raised his eyebrows and it made Javelin snap back to reality and undo the magic circle.

"It's over. You should go back and rest," Mykel said and put the life essence in his pocket.

After the rift was cleared, the barrier in the city disappeared and the trapped souls could finally find their way back. It was short, but everyone experienced something that they wouldn't be able to experience in the real world. They got a reward for clearing the rift by doing nothing but making love with those beautiful and handsome souls.

Javelin went back to her place and went straight to bed as she turned the TV on to watch the news. She then grabbed her phone and called Zachary to inform him of what had happened in the rift.

"Zach, do you know anything about Mykel's past?" Javelin lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

"I only know a little bit. His wife died and so did his two daughters, and I think it happened during the first invasion. Why do you ask?" Zachary asked as he enjoyed his coffee and watched the same news.

"Is he really what we think he is?" Javelin asked as her eyes started to get heavy.

"After listening to what happened in the rift there, I'm not so sure anymore. If he has no desire, that means he has no ill intention toward us or anyone. Maybe he's just a man with an empty shell," Zachary leaned his head and stared at the ceiling. "I don't know if I should be wary of him, admire him, or pity him. He's a mysterious guy," he added.

Javelin hummed and she sounded so weak and sleepy.

"You must be tired, and I think you should go to sleep," Zachary said knowing how tired Javelin's voice was.

Javelin didn't say anything because she fell asleep, and so Zachary hung up the phone to let her rest. He went to meet Melissa to tell her the good news about Mykel and what happened there.

When Zachary entered Melissa's office, he couldn't tell her about it because she was standing at her desk, staring down with a troubled expression.

"This situation is worse than we thought," Melissa said.

"What happened?" Zachary asked with his eyebrows furrowed.

"This nation is already collapsing..." Melissa stared Zachary in the eye. "It's collapsing rapidly..." she emphasized.
