Devil Slave (Satan system)-Chapter 1278: Entering The Capital City Of Pep
The remaining part of the man instantly turned into a puddle of blood. Soon, even the heart in Enel’s hand also turned into a puddle of blood.
Both Allison and commander Marian looked on at Enel in a mix of confusion and relief.
"impossible!" Marian commented. "He just killed a cultivator that was two realms above his own." If those back in the Werewolf city should hear this, many would faint, and some even fast to heavens for revelation of how such a thing was possible.
After all, in all common sense, it was not.
Then again, Enel was not a normal person. The rank of Great Demon was one that he had unlocked in his previous life, and he knew that although the power rank was great, it was not as infallible as the rest of the world believed it to be.
The worse part was that with more power came satisfaction and contempt. People become comfortable with the power they had achieved and the fear that other people had of them.
It was nearly impossible for them to believe that a mere lesser demon had what it took to bring down a Great Demon rank cultivator. It was like an ant had suddenly found a way to kill a full grown giant eagle.
Then again, Tomato was on the craft. However, she had no magic presence whatsoever, and therefore these great Demon rankers could not feel her presence. Also, she did not release her pressure.
It was as a result of the confidence that the other two Great Demon rankers have that they did not even mind, knowing that they could no longer feel their colleagues pressure.
After all, he could have simply just retracted it. They smiled at themselves at the success of their mission.
Meanwhile, Enel was undergoing an incredible power upgrade. This was unavoidable. After all, Alerts were rushing from the Satan system.
<Alert: Host has Completed mission>

<Congratulations Host has become a Deep demon rank 6 cultivator>
The boost in power had taken him all the way to deep demon rank 6. then again, this was the core of a great demon ranker. this much was only expected.
Enel controlled the overflowing power that threatened to rush out of his body, else, the sudden growth in power would explode the craft.
There was no sudden break in bottle neck. Enel already had the comprehension of these realms.
Tomato peeped at him one more time, a smirk at the corner of her lips as she rested her head back. It was true that she believed in Enel, but to say that she had not been worried was a lie.
She already had her presence around the ship just in case, and could have moved faster than sound in other to save Enel’s life if need be. But then again, what would be the fun in that.
Enel wiped his face of the blood, and then he walked towards the automatic door that opened on its own. Enel walked out, the intent of blood still oozing out of him with the mix of his aura.
The moment he stepped out, he floated in the air. Flight was an ability that only those that had achieved Deep Demon and above were capable of.
For a second, The great demon rankers in the air took a step back as a result of the sheer magnitude of Bloodlust oozing from his body.
It was choking to all five senses. It was only when they realize that his aura was of one below them did they stand their ground.
The shame that they had taken steps back annoyed them and one of them, in anger, punched to his left, instantly, shattering a floating mountain a kilometer away.
"I can no longer sense his energy. It is either there is a superior cultivator within or we had truly underestimated the child’s strength." the one on the right suddenly spoke.
however, the one on the left chuckled a bit, "...so it is true the news we got about you. Lenny Tales reborn. After a hundred years, the legend in the flesh. The one reason why the wheel of rebirth is broken and as shaken the balance of the world. You know... Our orders were to bring you alive if possible. But you are now stained with the blood of our brother and we shall have our revenge..."

However, just as they were about to step forward, Enel pointed at the huge walls just behind him, "are you really sure you want to do that?
You know, the outside world may be very rough, but I hear the prophet of Pep has a soar taste for violence in heart." he had barely finished talking when voices from the high walls had began to reach them. These were guards screaming out to them.
Rumors had it that the reason that even the royal demons had no choice but to respect this capital city was because in it was a cultivator that was of the Arcane realm.
Now, this was a power level that even these masked men had no choice but to respect. Even though that cultivator did not show face, its power spoke strong.
From the way that these cultivators responded it was obvious that it was true. Then again, the guard that had called out to them released some of his pressure and to Enel’s surprise, it was pressure that was in the Peak Great Demon rank.
Enel was greatly surprised by this, but he did not let it show on his face. Not until, both men looked at him one more time, and one of them threatened, "...It is our life mission to end your legend, we shall meet again." After which he turned about and flew away.
Enel heard those words and frowned a bit. The knowledge of his reincarnation was not something that the rest of the world should know about.
The only people that he had revealed himself to were the high ups of the werewolf city. And Enel was of the opinion that none of them would reveal this secret to the rest of the world. At least, he wanted to believe this.
However, he had just taken the heart blood of one of his attackers and he was slowly filtering through the man;s memories, and he could not help but frown.
One of the men had said that it was their life mission to end his legend. To his surprise, it was actually true. In fact, the threat that these people posed was a very significant one.
Just then, Marian and Allison stepped out of the craft.
Marian turned to the city gates to address the guard. She bowed politely explaining their situation that they were attacked by those bandits while they had come to the Great city of Pep for Pilgrimage.
The guard nodded as he instructed that they find their way to the main gate while he made a known gesture for peace at them.
Enel and his group disembarked, their movements sharp and deliberate as they approached the gates of the city. The craft that had carried them here rested silently behind, its sleek, glistening form a stark contrast to the humble procession of people on foot. The air hummed with a quiet reverence, and Enel noticed the orderly line of travelers stretching toward the towering gates ahead.
The line was an eclectic mix of beings—nobles from illustrious planes dressed in fine silks and adorned with rare jewels, alongside weary pilgrims from distant lands whose clothes bore the marks of long journeys. Yet, here, all stood as equals. It was a universal rule: no one could enter the city without their feet touching the ground. The craft and mounts, no matter how magnificent or luxurious, had to be left behind.
Even the wealthiest among them stepped down from their airships and carriages, their faces marked by an unspoken respect for the sacred traditions of the city. Enel’s party followed suit, descending from their ship.
Unfortunately, as they advanced, Tomato turned about to leave. For some reason that Enel did not know, Tomato was banned from the city.
Something about her eating meal that was set aside for sacrifice the last time she was here.
When they reached the gates, a figure approached, clad in simple gray robes. "All who enter must wear this," the figure said, holding out pristine white robes made from a soft, luminous fabric that seemed to glow faintly. Each of them accepted the robes, slipping them over their clothes. The moment the fabric touched their skin, a sense of calm and clarity washed over them, as if the robes themselves carried a faint trace of the city’s sanctity.
