Chapter 338: Chapter 338 Do you remember what day it is today?
Darkness looked down at her hands on his shoulder. His heart felt a little tight. She noticed his moods, his likes, his fears...even when he didn’t say anything.
He looked up again, voice soft, "So you really did this... all for me?"
Lilith gave a small nod, then tapped his forehead gently with her finger.
"Of course, silly," she said, teasing with a smile. "You’re my dangerous human doll."
He chuckled under his breath, the coldness in his expression finally melting. He reached out and pulled her hand into his, his thumb brushing the back of her palm.
"Then let me thank you... properly," he said, voice deeper now.
Lilith raised a brow. "By eating all the food and not flirting too much?"
He leaned forward, lips close to her ear. "No. I was thinking of something better."
"No..." Lilith said softly, pushing his face away with two fingers. She didn’t say it harshly — just with a small smile on her lips. "Behave. Sleep properly."
Darkness raised his brow like a child caught doing mischief, but he didn’t argue. He laid back without protest as Lilith joined him, pulling the blanket up.
She rested her head on his arm, using it like her pillow.
"Let’s look at the stars," she whispered, her eyes lifting to the glass roof above them.
Outside, the night sky stretched wide. Snowflakes melted softly against the glass, and behind them, stars peeked through the sky.
He turned his face to watch her instead.
"You really like stars?" he asked quietly.
"I do," Lilith said. "They remind me that no matter how dark it gets, there’s still light somewhere."
He didn’t answer for a few seconds.
Then he gently pulled her closer, his lips pressing into her hair.
"You’re my light," he whispered.
Lilith closed her eyes, smiling faintly.
She didn’t reply.
But the way her fingers curled around his jacket... said everything.
"I remember from Alexander’s memory..." Darkness said softly, his voice almost a whisper in the quiet room. "You used to be sharp. Dark. A queen of hell. How did you start believing in light?" ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
Lilith didn’t look at him.
Her eyes stayed fixed on the stars above, glowing faintly through the glass roof.
A soft smile touched her lips.
"When I met my light," she whispered.
Darkness didn’t speak. He just stared at her — the way her eyes reflected the sky, the calm in her voice.
And in that moment, he realized something.
The queen of hell wasn’t lost.
She just chose to walk in light... because of him.

"Sparkle..." Rose angrily, her eyes filled with worry as she looked at the cat sitting calmly nearby, the same cat who had just scratched her very first guy friend.
"It’s okay, Rosy," the boy said gently, his voice soft despite the faint red marks on his jaw. "It’s just a pet. I’ll go see a doctor, nothing serious."
He had a clean, gentle face, a handsome boy of fifteen and his smile was still there, even though it stung a little.
Rose bit her lip and stepped closer, her heart feeling heavy. "Let me walk you to the door..."
She couldn’t help but feel guilty.
After dropping guy she walked back to her room and looked Angrily at Loki.
"Sparkle!" Rose said sharply, her brows furrowing as she picked the fluffy cat up in her arms. "You’ve been a bad boy!"
The cat blinked lazily, completely unbothered by her scolding.
"You shouldn’t scratch anyone’s face just because you don’t like them," she said firmly, carrying him over to the bed.
She gently placed him down and pointed her small finger at him like a mother scolding her child. "That’s not how we treat guests, especially not someone who just wanted to pet you!"
Loki simply flicked his tail and looked away with a proud huff, as if saying ’He deserved it.’
Rose sighed and sat beside him, her hand softly stroking his fur. Her expression was a mix of frustration and sadness. "You made him bleed, Sparkle... What if he never wants to talk to me again? He was my first friend... my first real guy friend. And you scared him away."
Her voice dropped to a whisper. "That’s not fair..."
Loki narrowed his golden eyes, watching the sadness on Rose’s face as she stood there quietly, wiping the corner of her eye with her sleeve. Her voice no longer scolded him, she looked heartbroken.
And for a moment, something in him shifted.
He didn’t regret scratching that guy, not even a little. That foolish pheasant had dared to touch the back of Rose when she wasn’t even looking. Loki had seen it, clear as day. That sly hand, the way his eyes wandered. If Rose hadn’t turned around at the right moment, he might’ve gone further.
How dare he?
Loki’s tail flicked sharply, still angry at the memory.
But when he looked at Rose again, her head hanging down, her small shoulders trembling slightly, guilt started to eat at him. She didn’t know. She only saw her cat lashing out at her first real friend.
Slowly, with a soft huff, Loki climbed down from the bed. His paws made no sound as he walked across the wooden floor. He paused by her feet, then gently rubbed his head against her ankle.
Rose blinked, surprised, and looked down.
Loki rubbed again, curling his tail around her leg, his eyes apologetic, even if his pride didn’t let him meow out an "I’m sorry."
Rose’s lips quivered into a small smile. "Now you feel bad?"
Loki let out a quiet mrrp and pressed closer.
"Fine..." Rose whispered, scooping him into her lap. "But next time... Don’t just scratch people okay?"
"Rose!"
The door suddenly slammed open and Rose turned around, blinking in surprise. Her mother stood at the doorway, slightly breathless and with a panicked expression on her face.
"Mom?" Rose asked, frowning. "What’s wrong?"
Ana rushed inside, her hands wringing nervously. "Do you remember what day it is today?!"
Rose looked confused for a second, but before she could answer, Ana’s voice rose with worry. "It’s Sebby’s birthday today! Oh God, I completely forgot until just now!"
She looked so distressed, her eyes wide as if something terrible had happened. "He never celebrates it, I know, but still... what kind of mother forgets her son’s birthday?! I didn’t even call him yet, or send anything, and I’ve been so caught up with other things, I thought maybe everyone else forgot too and he’d end up alone today!"
