Today, Boundary City is fiercely cold—the city had another bout of snow a few days ago, and today, it's starting to melt. Last night, the old city district was swept by a cold wind that dropped the night temperature to below minus twenty degrees. The strong wind combined with the drop in temperature meant that Yu Sheng didn't see many pedestrians on the street earlier today when he went out.

But staying at home is still warm—though the principle is unclear, No. 66 Wutong Road has underfloor heating…

Just like the house's water and electricity, Yu Sheng has never figured out where the heating in this big house comes from.

However, he long since stopped worrying about that.

A phantom door appeared out of thin air in the living room, and Yu Sheng returned home from the valley with steaming baked sweet potatoes in hand. He placed them on the coffee table, while his mind was still pondering matters of the Hidden Monastery and the Angel Catalysts. He casually called out, "Hu Li, I brought you something tasty!"

Instantly, he saw a fluffy large tail emerge from behind the sofa, swaying around near the armrest, groping around without finding anything. Then two pointed ears perked up from behind the sofa's backrest, followed by the fox girl poking her head out. She looked dazedly at the baked sweet potatoes on the coffee table, stretched out her hand, and said in a soft, lazy voice, "Savior, I can't reach~~"

"Lazy you…"

Yu Sheng couldn't help but laugh, and went around the sofa to feed Hu Li the sweet potatoes. When she saw him approaching, she simply sprawled on the ground completely, a pile of large tails forming a cozy nest around her.

"You seem to enjoy lying on the ground more and more lately," Yu Sheng said with a subtle expression, "especially lying here."

"The floor is warm here," Hu Li yawned widely, slowly peeling a baked sweet potato, clearly not hungry but still able to eat infinitely, "Underfloor heating is a good thing, awoo."

"I remember you aren't afraid of the cold," Yu Sheng casually sat on the floor next to Hu Li, pulled a big tail over his legs, and rubbed it leisurely, "Whenever it snows, you dash outside with excitement. Last time after it snowed, I took you for a walk, and you made snowballs the whole way, eating two for every three you made…"

"Snow is great, underfloor heating is great too," Hu Li happily ate while her eyes narrowed, "It's snowing heavily outside, you can play out there, and when tired, come back and lie on the warm floor, plus there's tasty food. Life is good…"

As she spoke, she turned over, resting her head on Yu Sheng's leg, nuzzling twice. A tiny static spark jumped at the tip of her ear, making a slight crackling sound.

"The only downside is that the underfloor heating makes it too dry, there's always static electricity." The demon fox girl shook her ears, the fur on the back of her ears fluffing up slightly.

Yu Sheng laughed, imagining the scene she described, and for a moment, the nervous tension from dealing with chaos like cultists, angels, and Black Spot Warlords eased.

Being around Hu Li is like this—she's always in a relaxed state, carefree once her belly is full, with no high aspirations or complicated thoughts. She's surrounded by a warm, slightly lazy atmosphere, a stark contrast to the noisy Erin.

Of course, Hu Li in a fight is a completely different sight. Sometimes Yu Sheng finds it hard to connect her stockpile of Fox Carrot armaments with her usual sleepy self—but then again, in this travel agency, it seems no one has a normal pattern…

Yu Sheng's thoughts wandered aimlessly, then he shared with Hu Li what he had discussed in the valley with Luo, mentioning it was all prompted by Erin's reminder.

Hu Li sucked on her fingers, half-awake as she opened her eyes, "The wise appear foolish, awoo…"

Yu Sheng reminded, "The phrase is 'The wise appear foolish.'"

"For her, it's almost the same," Hu Li yawned, "Anyway, I don't think she thinks that much—when you guys were discussing in the valley, she was here watching short videos, laughing until she fell off the coffee table twice. How could she have spare brainpower to think about those things."

Yu Sheng: "..."

So that's how it is?

Just as Yu Sheng was also getting infected by Hu Li's post-meal drowsiness, and starting to drift off surrounded by a bundle of warm fox tails, a sudden loud crash resounded from the direction of the second floor.

The drowsy Hu Li perked up instantly, her ears standing up as she became alert like a vigilant beast, looking in the direction of the noise.

Yu Sheng's reaction was a bit slower than the fox girl's, but he quickly identified the source of the sound.

He met the fox girl's gold-red eyes.

"The room with the mirror!"

Both of them sprang up and dashed to the second floor. Upon reaching it, they saw the blonde Erin coming out of the master bedroom. The little puppet hadn't even put on shoes, and when she saw Yu Sheng, she ran over: "Yu Sheng! There was a huge noise in that room at the end! I was gaming and thought I blew up your computer…"

Yu Sheng grabbed the blonde Erin and put her on his shoulder. As he briskly moved towards the end of the hallway, he quickly said, "It sounded like something crashing into a wall… Erin, call the other bodies over and stand guard outside that door, we'll check inside."

Several black-haired, red-eyed Erins quickly emerged from various spots like the attic, master bedroom, and basement, gathering in the second-floor hallway. Yu Sheng carried the little puppet's blonde main body and, along with Hu Li, reached the door at the end of the corridor.

He placed his hand on the doorknob but didn't rush to open it, instead carefully sensing the situation behind the door.

Everything was as usual. Inside No. 66 Wutong Road, nothing had changed, and no suspicious aura emanated from behind this door.

However, cold wind was blowing out through the crack of the door, making Yu Sheng feel a bit cautious.

Then he carefully turned the doorknob and pushed open the door—what lay before them revealed itself to the three of them.

Tiny snowflakes fluttered and danced within the room, drifting down as if piercing through the roof and walls directly into the chamber. When Yu Sheng pushed the door open, he could see snowflakes dropping directly from the ceiling—and as they entered, a thin layer of snow had even accumulated on the ground.

The warmth from the floor seemed unable to melt the snow, as if it lay in a parallel world; yet the chill brought by the snow undoubtedly filled the room, creating an exceedingly contradictory and eerie feeling.

"Oh my…" Erin softly exclaimed, her sapphire eyes wide open, "This room has been calm for quite some time… and now it suddenly so disruptive?"

Yu Sheng remained silent, furrowing his brows, his gaze slowly sweeping around.

The ground covered in a thin layer of snow, with thicker snow gathering in the corners, and a scattering of snowflakes cloaking the wall opposite the window, with mottled contours suggesting that before the loud sound was heard, this "internal snowfall" had persisted for a while; yet Yu Sheng was certain that until he opened the door, the room had been perfectly normal.

…But isn't "not normal" the inherent nature of this bizarre room?

Besides the visible snow, there wasn't any other unusual item in the room—no mysterious metal parts, nor fragments of the Omen Banner.

Yu Sheng cautiously made his way to the center of the room, his steps producing a slight crunching sound on the snow. For a moment, he even had an illusion, feeling as if he might tread this layer of snow straight into another world.

He glanced back, seeing Hu Li releasing clusters of Fox Fire, the eerie blue flames slowly floating up to the ceiling, whereas the snowflakes descending through the ceiling appeared to completely ignore the scorching Demon Spirit Fire, passing straight through the flames without showing signs of melting or evaporating.

The mirror hangs quietly on the wall opposite the door, and within the mirror… is sheer darkness.

Yu Sheng slowly approached the mirror, seeing his shadow reflected in it, appearing extremely blurred.

He furrowed his brows tightly.

Ever since the World Bridge incident ended, this room had maintained a remarkably peaceful state, to the point that Yu Sheng had almost forgotten about the mirror—so why is it suddenly active again at this moment?

After hesitating for a moment, Yu Sheng cautiously raised his hand, reaching towards the blackened mirror.

Hu Li's voice immediately came from beside him, "Savior, be careful."

Erin quickly followed up, "Just so you know, if anything seems off, I'll pull you back immediately."

Yu Sheng didn't speak, just nodded slightly, his fingertips already touching the cold mirror surface.

What will he see through the mirror this time?

A remote Otherworld covered in ice and snow? A lost world floating in the gaps of time and space like the Omen Divine Temple? An extranational void surrounded by Angels? Or memories of a Dark Angel, the ruins left by Exotic Gods?

Tension swirled within his heart, but aside from the cold touch on his fingertips, the mirror showed no change.

Yu Sheng furrowed his brows, hesitantly withdrew his hand, and leaned forward to carefully scrutinize the mirror.

The blackened mirror seemed filled with black ink, without any extraneous colors or contours visible; even the room's other items couldn't be seen within that darkness—only his own vague shadow seemed to float within the pitch-black mirror, exceptionally eerie.

Yu Sheng turned his head, glancing at the small puppet perched on his shoulder.

Erin's form was nowhere reflected within the mirror.

Hu Li approached as well—her form was also absent in the reflection.

"Our shadows aren't visible?" Hu Li furrowed her brow, noticing the anomaly in the mirror.

"...Something's off," Yu Sheng muttered, placing his fingers on the mirror once more, slowly probing, "although this thing has always been sort of peculiar, this time seems different from the previous ones."

His movements abruptly halted.

Hu Li immediately perked up her ears, "Savior, what's wrong?"

"There's a crack here," Yu Sheng's voice turned particularly solemn as he concentrated on the mirror, finally discovering the almost imperceptible crack running across the entire surface, "the mirror is broken…"
