Dimensional Streamer: Infinite Views in Another World-Chapter 31: School Day
It was still dark outside when Noa opened his eyes.
The peaceful and quiet atmosphere of the world made his nerves calmer. But after noticing no dragon in his hands, a sigh of relief escaped his lips. ’That’s good, but...’ he lamented for a moment.
What would happen to Megatron?
Would he be left alone in the forest near Galio’s settlement? Or would the baby dragon cease to exist until he returned to that world?
Noa was curious about how this would work.
Somehow, he knew the system had everything planned. It was an omniscient, calculating perfectionist, after all. There was no way it wouldn’t have considered something so basic, right?
To Noa’s delight, the system answered swiftly.
[The dragon exists only when you are streaming. After that, it just stops existing, waiting for you to come back.]
Seeing this, Noa stretched.
The dread of making a stupid mistake evaporated. Now he could rest and let his thoughts drift. That’s why he didn’t hesitate to jump into bed and sink into well-earned sleep. Of course, he didn’t forget to check on Hana and even gave her a forehead kiss.
Seven hours later, the little girl became the reason he woke up.
"Brother!" Hana spoke loudly, almost whispering in his ear. "I am going out. Don’t forget to close the door."
The exhaustion was persistent.
It gripped Noa’s body and mind, refusing to release its tight constraint.
Still, Hana’s sweet voice worked like magic, and within seconds, Noa’s eyes snapped open. He was fully awake.
"Wait," he said, rubbing his eyes. "Don’t leave yet."
Hana, standing in the hallway, eyed him with a mix of curiosity and judgment. "...But I will be late for school."
"No, you won’t," Noa answered, sipping orange juice lazily.
Then he opened the fridge while yawning and asked the girl in a calm voice. "Did you eat something at least?"
Hana pouted.
She started getting angry at her brother for acting so unreasonably. "...I overslept," she mumbled under her breath, frustrated—but more at herself than him.
"It’s okay," Noa answered without changing his expression.
He looked nothing like someone who was in a hurry. "Take a seat. I will make you something to eat." With practised hands, he cut bread into thin slices and quickly made toast with a generous spread of expensive jam.
The little girl looked lost.
She had no idea what was going through Noa. "I told you... I am going to be late."
Without answering, Noa put the keys on the table. It was close to the plate he had set up for Hana to eat from and was fairly easy to notice.
The key didn’t open the house.
And it wasn’t meant for his old car either.
Hana narrowed her eyes. She quickly realized the hidden meaning behind Noa’s actions, and her face shifted instantly. "Wait, you are going to drive me there?"
She was and sounded happy.
For one, the buses weren’t known for their comfort.
They were slow, impractical, and a lot of people used them in the morning.
Noa’s new car, the Aston Martin DB11, could solve these problems. But that wasn’t all.
Hana was used to seeing some of her classmates being dropped off in expensive-looking cars by personal drivers. As a kid, she had always dreamed of this princess treatment.
And now, her desire was about to be fulfilled.
She could show off a little as well.
Yes, Mika, Rina, and Lina had seen Noa driving the car, but what about the other students?
She wanted to experience what rich kids had for once, and this was a perfect opportunity. What’s more, knowing how prideful the girls were, they might even say Noa had just rented the car and it wasn’t actually his.
With everything in her little and immature mind, Hana grinned.
The resemblance between the siblings and the way they smirked was too terrifying and sometimes too cold, even.
This time, Hana no longer seemed to be in a hurry.
She sat beside Noa with the same calmness he had been showing since waking up.
Then she shook her head. "...I knew it. You burned the bread again," Hana protested, but still took a bite, munching on the breakfast Noa had made, adding nothing more.
He, meanwhile, was watching the scene with a loving smile. ’Nothing beats seeing her this giddy.’
Then he also took a seat and started eating.
Minutes passed by in silence. Only when Hana wanted one more slice, and Noa had to get up and make one, did the silence break.
After they ate their fill, it was finally time for their departure.
Aston Martin DB11 was fast, yes, but it couldn’t just jump over other cars on the road.
Without wasting more time, they both left the building and searched for the familiar British car. Locating it didn’t pose any challenge.
It was waiting in the same place Noa had left it the night before, looking even more majestic under the morning light.
Hana was the first one to get inside.
She was excited like it was her first time.
In the meantime, Noa also stepped inside and made the motor growl like a ferocious beast.
The drive to the school was peaceful.
Though the road on Fletcher Street didn’t do the car justice, other, wealthier streets allowed the car to fly down the open roads.
What would have taken Hana a 20-minute ride, Noa crossed in exactly seven minutes.
As a result, they arrived even earlier, allowing Hana to enjoy the ride to the fullest. Other cars also stopped around the school, bringing kids one after another.
Yet none compared to what Noa was driving.
Hana watched the scene with a cheeky smile, looking satisfied with the outcome. Never in her whole life did she enjoy going to school this much. It was her first time feeling like that.
"Thank you, brother!" she said loudly, fully expressing her emotions.
Noa nodded and gave her a fist bump. "Have fun. Call me when you are done, and I will pick you up."
With that, Hana exited the car and walked with a confidence that Noa had never seen in her before. But suddenly, she was greeted by a familiar girl.
