Divine Beast Creator-Chapter 1101 - 1102: Summoning
Chapter 1101: Chapter 1102: Summoning
Agunas found it strange why Feng Yuan was in such a hurry to summon Gitalien, but still informed Gitalien through the Divine Beasts’ information network. Veronia, somewhat puzzled and transformed into human form while holding a Western-style umbrella, looked up at the azure sky and said,
"Why do I feel like something is not quite right?"
"It seems something’s off? But what exactly is it?"
Veronia did not inquire with Feng Yuan what that hint of discordance was. It grew curious, while Guo Huai used the system to scan the surroundings. However, the feedback from his own system all seemed normal, at least the data on passersby and those Spirit Beasts showed no issues.
What exactly is wrong? Guo Huai scratched his head, confused. As for the possibility of him overthinking it—that seemed unlikely. Everything from Feng Yuan’s unusual behavior to Veronia’s muttering proved that something had happened. It’s just that his own system appeared unable to detect this anomaly.
"What discovery has you so urgently calling for me?"
The white-haired middle-aged man stepped through the Space Gate and approached Feng Yuan, looking at him with incomprehension. After glancing at Gitalien, Feng Yuan said somewhat discontentedly,
"Didn’t you notice anything wrong?"
"Wrong? These invaders are indeed bothersome, but there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with that. Are any of these invaders easy to deal with?"
"It’s definitely unusual, but who caused this anomaly? I thought it was the doings of that stupid dragon, but it seems not."
A blue-haired man glanced at Gitalien and spoke to Feng Yuan, which seemed to upset Gitalien. The white-haired middle-aged man reached out to grab the blue-haired man’s shoulder, only to have a blue barrier suddenly emerge from Delong Tower, blocking his outstretched hand.
"I don’t know what exactly it is, but I’ve called for it because I plan to fully activate the World’s Shadow."
Feng Yuan glanced at Delong Tower and then towards Gitalien behind him, shaking his hand. Gitalien, squinting his eyes, looked at Feng Yuan and said,
"Are things really that serious? But, can’t you activate the World’s Shadow directly?"
"No, I need to temporarily move all life into the World’s Shadow."
"Why? Shouldn’t the World’s Shadow itself bear the burden of destruction against the world?"
Gitalien looked at Feng Yuan in confusion. As for acting recklessly, it knew that Feng Yuan would not mess around with such a serious matter. He must have his reasons for choosing to do so, but why give up the real world?
"Because I don’t know how deeply that thing has contaminated the real world. At least for now, we have no way to separate those bad elements and draw them into the World’s Shadow."
Feng Yuan said while looking at the skateboard at his feet. Gitalien froze, not expecting the situation to be so grave. It understood the limitations of the World’s Shadow; it couldn’t affect anomalous beings that had taken root in the real world because it was only the shadow of the world, and those beings had already connected with the real world. To send them into the World’s Shadow required pulling the reality of the world itself into the shadow, but how could that be possible?
Noting Feng Yuan’s actions, Guo Huai seemed to recall something, but that last clue evaded him. In his urgency, he took a few steps, accidentally kicking the skateboard at his feet, which was still floating above the ground. Wait! Guo Huai suddenly realized and looked down at the skateboard beside him.
"If I remember correctly, this skateboard was created to deal with areas with different rules, right?"
Guo Huai, somewhat excited, asked Feng Yuan, who nodded while looking at Guo Huai. He knew that the latter must have caught on to the problem. Agunas shook its tail as if it still didn’t quite understand, but Guo Huai lightly kicked the skateboard beside his foot and said,
"If that’s the case, then why can this thing still exist in the real world?"
Agunas was taken aback, and Veronia smiled slightly and said,
"So that’s it. The discrepancy lies here. The special rules of the special area are, unexpectedly, effective in a place where they shouldn’t be."
The rules of those special areas, being different from the real world, wouldn’t normally apply in both the real world and the special areas. Just like how their Ultimate Moves dissipated when they entered the special areas, the skateboard designed for the special areas should have dissipated upon entering the real world, but now it was functioning without issue. That means...
"The rules of the special areas have integrated into the real world?!"
""
Agunas said in shock, but upon further thought, it seemed off. If it were really so, it would unlikely be possible, considering the many rules within that special domain previously were obviously in conflict with the rules of the real world.
"That’s not the case; that special rule belongs to a certain special space, and that special space has devoured the real world. If you don’t believe it, you can have Xiao Ji try using the Crimson Judgement."
Feng Yuan said, glancing at Xiao Ji. Dou Yanlan pressed Xiao Ji’s head, inciting an angry glare in return, and with a shake of his head, Dou Yanlan said,
"I believe that. If it weren’t for this, I wouldn’t have come to you. But why would phenomena from the Data Domain appear in the real world? Could it be that the Data Domain is what’s devouring the real world?"
"I don’t know, but the Data Domain alone shouldn’t have that capability."
Shaking his head, Feng Yuan looked towards Gitalien and said,
"So, help me, transfer all those lives into the World’s Shadow."
"Are you sure World’s Shadow is safe?"
Gitalien had some doubts, after all, it’s a projection of the real world. If there were problems in the real world, how could the World’s Shadow remain unaffected? Feng Yuan slightly smiled as he shook the pitch-black Ancient Book in his hand and said,
"For now, the opponent has not affected the World’s Shadow, and I can shield its disturbances. Although it’s uncertain what it is, temporarily protecting everything within the World’s Shadow is not a big problem. Oh and, contact some Divine Beasts and have them follow into the World’s Shadow to maintain order, the rest will stay in the real world to find out who is pulling the strings."
Nodding his head, Gitalien remained silent for a while then said,
"It’s done, what do you need me to do now?"
"Help."
Feng Yuan looked at Gitalien, extending a mental connection. Moments later, Gitalien reverted to his original form and flew into the sky. His colossal form hovered in the cerulean heavens, and with a sonorous dragon’s roar, massive rectangular Steles appeared from the void.
As the Steles appeared, invisible waves swept across the world. The creatures merely felt a blur before their eyes, and their surroundings seemed to have slightly changed. Although everything appeared normal, the giant black bands that launched attacks were nowhere to be seen. And upon closer inspection, everything around them seemed somewhat illusory.
Fortunately, before those people fell into the disturbances, the Divine Beasts responsible for maintaining order voiced out the current situation and requested all organizations and countries to maintain order themselves. Relying on the majesty of the Divine Beasts and their status in the hearts of the people, except for some unrest in a few places, most areas were merely a little panicked.
After all, with a little communication, it’s clear that this mass transfer involved the entire world, and with such an extensive influence, how could it not be a significant trouble?
"I want to go help him."
Lorna glanced at Gladys and said, who smiled faintly, looking out the window,
"What if he doesn’t need your help?"
"I just want to prove that I am also capable of helping him."
As Lorna said this, the space around her fluctuated, and the next moment, she disappeared right before Gladys’ eyes. Seeing Lorna leave, Gladys shook her head and looked at the cards in her hand, helplessly placing them down on the table. Although she wished to divine, intuition told her doing so would lead to an outcome she wouldn’t want to see. Even though she wasn’t sure if her intuition was accurate, Gladys wasn’t planning to defy it.
"What on earth is happening..."
Qi Chen looked out the window with some concern. He had heard the announcement from the Divine Beasts, but an anomaly impacting the entire world always made him worry about Feng Yuan’s safety. Dou Yanlan gently patted Qi Chen’s back and said,
"Don’t worry, he will surely handle this, and this transfer may not necessarily be because the enemy is too strong."
She knew the function of the World’s Shadow and naturally guessed something. As for Qi Chen? He was just worried because he didn’t think of the unique traits of the World’s Shadow for the moment, otherwise, he wouldn’t be so concerned.
But what could it actually be that’s causing such significant trouble? Dou Yanlan wondered curiously.
