"Just who is it!?"

That figure yelled again as he looked into the distance. His head appeared bald, while his black eyes seemed to be adorned by long white eyebrows that fell to his neck. The whites of his eyes were red at this moment, churning with wrath.

What he saw was a purple-robed woman on a mountain peak, blocking his path and causing his eyes to flicker in irritation.

"Since you won't talk, die."

He flipped his hand and flicked the other arm away, dragging it around and bringing forth an immense momentum with his fingers as he brought them forward and drew a circle, causing the space in front of him to rumble and start collapsing one by one.

It was as though layers were being peeled off one by one, heading toward the blurry figure in the distance.

"My grandson died, so the Aurora Cloud Gate doesn't need to exist anymore. I will bury its entire history in remembrance of his name."

Layers kept breaking forth in a wave as they arrived before the blurry figure of a purple-robed woman, enveloping her into the layers between the existing space and the true void. It was unknown what happened to her, but the old bald-headed man snickered and moved onwards as space returned to normal.

It seemed as though the purple-robed woman was crushed by becoming trapped between the layers.

"Heh!" Nyx Godwin's grandfather sneered at this short fight.

If the Aurora Cloud Gate's Immortal Emperors were all easy to deal with like this, he didn't think he would encounter any trouble today.

"A Level Six Immortal Emperor's power isn't to be underestimated."

Abruptly, Nyx Godwin's grandfather came to a stop, narrowing his eyes as the other party was able to see through his cultivation, not to mention even survive his attack that cracked four layers.

"So what? With my prowess hovering at the Late Immortal Stage, you think you could beat me?"

He was also angered as many of the Peak Immortal Kings they had turned into Immortal Emperors were already on the brink of death at this moment from the sudden and forceful stop of the giant ark. That was a huge loss of force even before the war began, causing him to churn with hatred continuously brewing in his eyes.

However, he still sneered.

"If you think you can stop me, you're extremely wrong. Perhaps, you'll have a chance back in the sect with those array formations, but here, you're a sitting duck. If you surrender, perhaps, you won't be subjected to ruthless torture, and depending on how you cooperate, you can even join our Godwin Family."

As he spoke, a few more giant arks that were a little bit smaller than the one before zoomed into the area from a distance, slowly coming to a stop as though responding to an emergency response.

The sight of it caused the purple-robed woman to narrow her eyes as she understood that it was a fleet designed for war. The Godwin Family had truly sent out its forces to attack the Aurora Cloud Gate right around midnight. At the same time, four more Immortal Emperors flew out from the fleet, aligning themselves around her.

An intense pressure surged and crashed onto her, but despite that, she stood tall like a pillar, still gazing at Nyx Godwin's grandfather.

"On the account that Nyx Godwin was a true disciple of the Aurora Cloud Gate, I advise you to turn back. If you do so, I'll ignore what happened here today."

"Ahahaha!"

Nyx Godwin's grandfather and every other Immortal Emperor present in the scene started laughing as though they had something funny.

The purple-robed woman didn't seem shaken nor humiliated as her figure remained still.

"Despite your old age, you're unwise and perhaps even fairly young, aren't you, little kid?"

But her voice echoed at this moment, causing Nyx Godwin's grandfather to coldly harrumph.

"Hmph! I'm just ten thousand years old, but so what? Do you think the Aurora Cloud Gate is infallible? You don't know. My Godwin Family's hidden forces aren't something the likes of you can comprehend that you will eventually come to regret picking a war with us. I'll make you beg and kowtow within a few minutes."

"Regret?" The purple-robed woman's calm and melodious voice echoed with a bit of contemplation, "Have I ever experienced that? It's hard to say. However, what I do know is that you should've never threatened one of our disciples like that."

"Heh! Is that little slut so important enough to allow the Aurora Cloud Gate to suffer severe damage? We'll see."

Nyx Godwin's grandfather sneered and raised his two hands, causing the space to rumble and become wavy as though it was moldable.

"Hmm?"

But at this moment, Nyx Godwin's grandfather and the other Immortal Emperors became cautious as they saw snowfall. However, they saw that it wasn't snow but grayish-purple dust filling the space. Their energies quickly reinforced their defenses, and they stabilized the region by extending their energy domains, causing the dust to be pushed away from them.

"What sort of paltry trick is this?"

"You'll know soon enough."

The purple-robed woman stretched out her hands when a silhouette manifested behind her.

Nyx Godwin's grandfather and everyone else's gaze flickered as they saw a tree manifest, climbing tall all the way to nine kilometers and spreading into large branches that blossomed into purplish-gray leaves that shone with a starry light, covering the entire region above them, causing a few of their eyes to severely flicker as their minds tried to remember a vague legend.

"You-"

"Scatter."

*Ripp!~*

Instantly, the Immortal Emperors of the Godwin Family felt a greater pull before something ripped away from them, their eyes looking at the sudden holes appearing on their bodies. Some of them even lost their eyes, a few fingers, or an entire limb, causing their minds to not be able to momentarily catch up.

At the same time, the giant arks were also ripped apart into innumerable parts, causing them all to collapse and plunge into the ground.

"...!"

Just as they understood what had happened as they looked at their body parts floating in space, they felt an immense chill seep into their hearts.

*Vrong!~*

Abruptly, the space below each of them caved in like a sinkhole as the dust gathered and turned into a dense spatial phenomenon, trying to drag them deep into it.

"Ahhh!"

An Immortal Emperor was quickly absorbed into the sinkhole.

"Sixteenth Grand Elder!"

Nyx Godwin's grandfather screamed at them, unable to believe that a Level Six Immortal Emperor had just been absorbed into the confines of the enemy's spatial ability just like that. He sensed the other party was a Level Six Immortal Emperor just like them, so how come she was so powerful enough to remain free of five of their pressures adding and forcing her to be on the defensive?

Although the other Immortal Emperors who had come with him lacked prowess that would allow them to battle across levels, they were still Level Six Immortal Emperors, disallowing him to understand what was going on.

However, Nyx Godwin's grandfather didn't even have time to worry about himself, so how could he spare his attention to others?

He instantly summoned his spatial energy as a tsunami of black-gray energy spread across the region, only to be forced back by the grayish-purple dust swirling around them. However, it still formed a layer of barrier around him, keeping him afloat.

"Ah! Fifth Grand Elder! Save me!"

A cry for help resounded throughout the region, but Nyx Godwin's grandfather remained steady and cold like a rock, his eyes only focused on saving himself from the greater pull at the moment. The others also looked at him for help, but knowing that they got their hands full, they hurriedly cast a myriad of defensive techniques.
