Divine Emperor of Death-Chapter 3559 Nine Days Left
"So… you know that the Candidacy is in nine days, right?"
Evelynn asked Davis after playfully beating him up, starting the conversation everyone wanted to hear.
Natalya and the others had already come to know that Evelynn, Isabella and Shirley would be leaving in nine days and that worried them to no end.
"Big sisters," Natalya uttered fondly yet also worriedly as she panned her gaze at the three of them, "Do you three really have to go? I mean, the Blazing Thunderlight Sect's Founder, Fairy Thunderblaze has boldly announced her intentions to not attend. Can't we also do that?"
Isabella pursed her lips, "She has her reasons, and we have ours. I won't shy away from fulfilling my end of the promise just because I now have everything in the world, including a powerful cultivation, a loving husband, and a wonderful daughter."
"…"
Everyone felt moved.
Even in the harem, Isabella was like a mountain whom they could rely on to never crack or shatter under pressure. She took care of them no matter what they asked, as she wanted to be the big sister the most, and she derived that dream from wanting to be his Empress.
Davis also smiled.
If he didn't know the Isabella on the bed, he would practically look up to her, not that he didn't, as he did tend to worship her on the bed.
She was a woman who didn't forget favors but most importantly, never let family down. As for the matter of her abandoning his father when the Accursed Warlock made a trap, he wasn't bothered. That was the right decision to make in his heart and soul as he wouldn't have traded her for his father any time of the day.
'Sayonara, father…'
Davis inwardly lamented before he turned to look at Shirley, "What about you?"
"I also hold a deep responsibility to Flamerose and Frostrose's Fire Phoenix Clan in the true immortal world. Without them, you would've…"
Shirley smilingly shook her head.
If those twin magical beasts hadn't helped her at the time of need, she didn't know what she would've done. She definitely had the intention to help them win the Candidacy. Moreover, both twin sisters relayed their intentions to take part as well.
"I am worried about Azariel and Viridia since they're still babies." Evelynn sighed.
She thought she had enough time, nine more years until the Candidacy but never did she imagine it would turn into nine days.
"Evelynn, you really don't need to go. Hexena Xylusc only asked that you protect her clan if they still survived. That is the only condition she imposed on you for the inheritance."
Davis reminded Evelynn, causing her expression to look as though she was considering.
"I know- but, this will be a good experience that I would need to become stronger and if I win the Candidacy, we get to keep whatever we win to ourselves since I owe nothing other than protection to the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Clan in the true immortal world."
"…"
What Evelynn said suddenly made everyone stand on their toes while being seated.
The World Master's Legacy.
They already knew a few secrets, and they could only imagine how powerful the legacy would be.
It was certainly a fruitful prospect to look forward to, and there was no doubt that many would be willing to give up their lives for it. However, they were satisfied with their current cultivation progress and didn't think it was necessary to risk the lives of their sisters to get it.
"All is good if we get it, but what if you three were to face against each other?" Fiora asked with one of her brows raised.
"We already came to a conclusion with that, as we had said before." Shirley smiled complacently.
"No, the harem has grown too big from then, so we need a conclusive answer. We respect all three of you but hold more a specific person that each of us has engaged in and would hate to lose, so if you were to sacrifice yourselves for the other, then that would sadden us and, depending on the circumstances, might also enrage us if there was betrayal involved."
"…"
Suddenly, the temperature in the hall dropped.
"What are you implying, Fiora?" Isabella frowned.
Davis also raised his brows. His Fiora launched an arrow into the deepest part of the harem, knowingly or unknowingly.
He looked at Mingzhi, who sat to her side, wondering if she had put Fiora up to this. However, he saw Mingzhi remain silent, as though she knew the moment she started talking, she would be unable to control herself due to her unstable soul.
Nonetheless, looking at Fiora's firm expression, he guessed that she did it knowingly.
Fiora turned to look at Shirley, "For example, one of you wanted to live no matter what…."
"Indeed," Isabella nodded, "We considered that could happen. In fact, I experienced that when I was about to exchange myself for father-in-law but ultimately cowarded out like you say we would but this time, it's different. I came to understand that If it had been a exchange for Evelynn or Shirley, I would've definitely given myself up."
"Isabella…"
Evelynn and Shirley uttered, appearing moved.
"Moreover, we have Everlight now. Our self-sacrifice could no longer be considered such a heavy action." Isabella added with a firm smile.
"…"
Everlight blushed over the dependence, "Everyone, I will definitely revive you even if it costs my life, but know that the act of self-sacrifice couldn't be cheapened just because you have me. You are truly dying and reviving, losing a significant portion of your life, which is healed back by me. Eventually, your own soul hits a limit that the embers of life can no longer sustain, collapsing. As a result, possibly extinguishing than returning to the reincarnation cycle."
"Thank you, Everlight~" Evelynn smiled.
This will let everyone know not to die easily.
"… I'm not finished." Fiora continued with a cold expression, "What if the karmic blow is a fatal one that even targets the soul Everlight has? Let's say all three of you became aware of this kind of ending. Will you still hold onto your initial plan of self-sacrifice so that one of you can return with the treasure, alive yet broken from inadvertently killing two of your sisters?"
"…!"
Evelynn, Isabella, and Shirley raised their brows.
They had to admit they never thought about this scenario ever since Everlight's powers became known. If they went back to square one, would they be able to keep their initial plan afloat?
Davis also raised his brows.
His Fiora was never the one to hold back. She even hurt herself using her own words.
Moreover, she was saying what he wanted to address and what he wanted to relay. However, he already arrived upon his answer after a series of experiences in the past few months, so he wasn't worried as much but the harem was another thing altogether.
"Let me tell you that I am against all three of you participating because I want you all to be safe."
Fiora's firm voice cracked, "If even one of you is missing, this place wouldn't be the same."
She pursed her lips and looked straight, appearing like a staunch lady which made Evelynn, Isabella and Shirley smiled.
"Yeah, I'm opposed to it as well…" Natalya pouted and raised her hand in support of her little sister.
"Me too." Niera uttered sadly.
"Please stay, big sisters." Panqa cheered.
"There's no need to encounter such risks that would put this wondrous place in jeopardy," Yilla uttered in a sexy voice as though it was the most logical thing to do.
"Don't get emotional, Fiora. You're still pregnant."
Shirley giggled before she panned her gaze, "Everyone, there is nothing to worry about, and the Harem Council doesn't get a vote on this. Otherwise, it will start infringing on everyone's rights and debts."
"Indeed. Whether we decide to enter or stay will be decided by ourselves on the last day."
Isabella smiled before Evelynn nodded, "We have the time chamber, so I can still catch up with everyone else while the others can also train. Nine days roughly translate into four months with the most speedy time chamber we have, so I can still take care of the kids and enter the Candidacy without a problem."
"What do you say, husband?"
Evelynn, Isabella, Shirley and the others turned to look at Davis as though he was the only person who could stop them.
