Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Lacking

Archie Summers’s eyes were filled with a vicious light. He spoke in a low, heavy voice, "Tristan Grayson, you’d better not play any games with me..."

His naive little sister might be willing to be deceived by a man like Tristan, but he would never allow it. If he dared to hurt Mika again for some woman he shouldn’t be protecting, then he wouldn’t mind personally getting rid of that woman...

"You’re taking things too seriously, Mr. Summers. From now on, we’re family."

In response to Tristan Grayson’s humorless smile, Archie Summers just snorted coldly. He turned to Mika, who was in the hospital bed, and said softly, "Mika, you just focus on getting well. Once you’re discharged, I’ll come to take you home to see Mom and Dad."

"Okay, I know."

Archie Summers nodded. He raised a hand to straighten his collar, then turned and slowly walked toward Tristan Grayson, stopping just short of bumping into him. A wicked smile touched his lips as he lowered his voice. "Young Master Grayson is right. From now on, we’re family. Oh, and by the way, I bet Young Master Grayson isn’t aware, but I’ve acquired thirty-five percent of LK Company’s shares. They’re all under my name now. So, whether it’s business or personal, we truly are one big family."

His words made Tristan Grayson freeze, and his hands at his sides involuntarily clenched into tight fists.

Archie Summers was very satisfied with Tristan Grayson’s expression. He took a step back, looked at the ring on his finger, and continued, "I look forward to a pleasant partnership with you, Young Master Grayson!"

"Heh... I hope you can maintain this confidence of yours indefinitely, Mr. Summers." ’He couldn’t believe it. He’d only been away from the office for a few days, and Archie Summers had already acquired thirty-five percent of the company’s stock.’ 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

"I’ve always been plenty confident. It’s you who’s looking a bit unsure of yourself, Young Master Grayson. Tsk, tsk." With that, Archie Summers left with a provocative smile on his face.

The moment Archie Summers left, Tristan Grayson swung around and slammed his fist into the wall behind him.

A cold shiver ran through Mika Summers when she saw Tristan Grayson’s reaction. ’What on earth did my brother just say to Tristan? Why is he so furious?’

Tristan Grayson saw her face turn deathly pale as she stared at him anxiously. He had no choice but to rein in his anger so he wouldn’t scare her again.

Still, he couldn’t just swallow his anger. He finally managed to force out a single, cold sentence, "You’ve got a great brother..."

"Yes, I do. My brother’s always doted on me the most, ever since we were little." ’She didn’t understand why Tristan would say that, but it was the truth. She did have a great brother.’

Hearing this woman not only fail to detect his sarcasm but actually go along with it, Tristan Grayson was overcome with a fresh wave of anger. He frowned, his tone laced with jealousy as he retorted, "The most?" ’Does *my* woman need anyone else to dote on her?’

"Mhm..." She nodded, somewhat bewildered.

"Heh... *My* woman doesn’t need anyone else doting on her. From now on, you will see less of your brother." ’Half the company almost belongs to someone else now, how could he not be furious? He would get even for this. He’d make Archie pay it all back, double!’

"Why?" ’He’s my own brother. Am I not allowed to see my own brother anymore?’

"There is no ’why.’ You’ll do as I say, and that’s that," Tristan Grayson said impatiently. He walked to the edge of the bed and sat down. Seeing her reluctant expression, an idea seemed to strike him, and his thin lips suddenly curled into a smirk. "Also, I just remembered. It seems we are indeed missing something." ’Wants to leave me? Wants a divorce? In her dreams. As long as I don’t give the word, as long as I don’t say it’s over, this will never, ever be over...’

Mika Summers’s heart began to pound uncontrollably. Filled with apprehension, she looked at Tristan Grayson uneasily. "What is it?"
