Doted By The Regent King-Chapter 1433 - 1371: Unrestrained
The two steeds raced out of the city gates, quickly disappearing from everyone’s sight. Some townsfolk nearly got knocked over as they entered the city, tumbling to the ground, spilling the mountain goods they were carrying everywhere.
"Rushing like that, they’re off to..." The townsfolk were about to curse them, but a Silver Shells flew into his arms.
The townsfolk was stunned for a moment, quickly grabbed it, and bit it to confirm it was Silver. He couldn’t help but break into a grin, then furtively pocketed the Silver like a thief.
The two steeds then galloped merrily down the official road. The woman on the white horse wore simple riding attire, her Black Hair tied into a ponytail. Her one hand firmly held the reins, while the other whipped the horse.
"Hah." Wufu urged the horse to run faster, turned to look at the person beside her, and smiled brightly, "The loser has to do something for the winner."
Ah Jiu smiled silently, quickly raising the whip and urging his horse even faster.
The two horses were neck and neck, racing even more swiftly.
"Ah, it’s been peaceful for only a little while now." The guards and attendants chasing behind them nearly got sick from the jolting.
Yuan Ye glanced at the complaining Hoo Die indifferently, a faint smile playing on his lips, silently chasing after them.
Two shichens later, the two steeds were only half a horse head apart at the estate’s entrance.
Wufu raised her head, looked at the person opposite her, her chest heaving. Twirling the whip around her hand, she laughed and said, "I won!"
Ah Jiu threw the whip to Xiao Li, who had arrived a step earlier, jumped off the horse, and extended his hand to Wufu, "What do you want me to do for you?"
Wufu supported herself on his hand as she flipped off the horse, saying, "I haven’t thought of anything yet, I’ll tell you when I do."
At the estate gate, a middle-aged man dressed simply was waiting there. When he saw both of them dismount, he quickly stepped forward, saluted, and said, "Du Tang at your service, miss, Ninth Master."
"Are you the farmstead manager?" Wufu glanced at him.
Du Tang bent even lower, saying, "Indeed, thanks to the young miss’s favor."
Wufu nodded.
"Master, miss, Jadeite has already directed the hot spring water into the estate’s clean pool. You must be tired after the ride, why not bathe first?" Xiao Li said cheerfully.
"That sounds good." Ah Jiu said to Wufu, "The mountain air here is cool, and since it’s now autumn, don’t catch a chill from sweating. Let’s soak for a while."
Wufu nodded and followed Xiao Li and the others inside.
Jadeite had already gathered the estate’s maidservants and handmaidens in the courtyard. When she saw Wufu, she went up to greet her.
"See you in a bit." Ah Jiu waved his hand.
Wufu smiled and followed Jadeite into her room, arriving at the bathing pool. She saw that the pool was paved with marble and filled with hot spring water strewn with fresh flower petals, steam rising above the water, and gauzy white curtains draping around the pool to prevent outsiders from peering in.
Beside the pool was a wooden tray, upon which tea was placed as well as two plates of fresh fruit and a plate of small pastries.
"This hot spring pool is quite nicely built." Wufu said as she unbuttoned her clothes, speaking to Jadeite.
"This was originally a property of the Marquis Jingguo Residence, only sold when they needed Silver to turn the revenue around." Jadeite replied with a smile.
Wufu undressed until completely naked, her slender waist and long legs exposed, stepping into the warm pool under the bashful gaze of the young maid. As she sank into the water, she couldn’t help but sigh comfortably, thinking this was the pleasure of having wealth.
Not long after, Mo Lan entered with a bottle, saying that Ah Jiu had prepared it, worried that Wufu might have chafed her thighs from riding for so long, thus asking Yuan Ye to bring medicine.
The spouse was considerate, making Wufu’s smile even more radiant.
