Douluo: Transforming Xiao Wu into a Zerg Queen Was Just the Beginning-Chapter 70
Gurgle... Gurgle...!
A massive fleshy lump surged upward, forcefully distending the royal guard's flesh from within his gut.
“Urgh—AAAGHH!!!”
The guard clawed at his mouth, trying to open it as wide as possible.
His face was deathly pale, sweat as large as beans dripping continuously from his forehead.
His eyes bulged outward, bloodshot and wide with agony. His expression twisted between unbearable pain and hideous frenzy.
Gulp—!
A sickening, watery sound echoed as the lump inside his body thrashed more violently with each passing second.
SPLASH!
Amid a fit of violent retching, the mass burst from the guard’s mouth with tremendous force.

Alongside it spewed a torrent of thick, dark purple liquid, which dripped and soaked into the soil below.
A large, purple-black spore with pulsating veins thudded to the ground, still squirming and twitching.
Under Davis’s watchful gaze, the spore thrashed for a moment before a slender, snow-white larva tore its way out from inside.
The larva had no visible organs—only a singular orifice. The moment it emerged, it raised its head, sensing the environment with the tip of its mouth.
Then, without hesitation, it lunged toward the remains of the spore casing, ferociously gnawing and devouring it.
Within moments, the larva had consumed the entire spore.
Davis looked on with a glint of fanaticism in his eyes. He pulled out a dark purple crystal from within his robes and tossed it onto the ground.
The larva twitched its sensory orifice a few times, then went wild, throwing itself onto the crystal, tearing at it with its razor-sharp mouth.
Crunch! Crunch!!
The royal guard staggered nearby, coughing dryly and clutching his throat, his body curled like a shrimp in pain.
Yet despite his pallor, his face grew flushed, and a glimmer of awareness returned to his previously dull eyes.
Davis looked down at him with clear disgust.
“If it weren’t for that old bastard possibly ruining the Overlord’s plans, I would’ve killed you already.”
Despite Davis's cold disdain, the guard showed no anger. Instead, he responded with flattery and fanaticism:
“For the Overlord, I am willing to give everything!”
Davis snorted in contempt and said nothing more.
He walked slowly toward the larva, still devouring the crystal, and unsheathed his blade. Without hesitation, he drew it across his palm, blood flowing freely.
The crimson blood dripped steadily onto the crystal, which the larva eagerly lapped up along with its meal.
Davis murmured as he watched:
“Eat… eat more. My lord Overlord, lend me your power—just for a while.”
CRACK... CRUNCH!
The larva devoured the crystal entirely. Its body began to swell rapidly—until it grew to the size of a boulder.
SCHLURP—!
The swollen larva exploded without warning. From the ruptured mass burst countless black-purple fleshy tendrils, flailing violently in midair before coalescing into a massive, pulsating black cocoon.
Had Lin Fan been present, he would have instantly recognized it—it looked exactly like the first worker drone egg he possessed when he first arrived in this world.
Gurgle... Gurgle...!
The enormous cocoon squirmed constantly. Within it, a terrifying new lifeform was gestating.
A lifeform that would mark the beginning—and continuation—of an entire race.
CREAK!
The Emperor of the Star Luo Empire shoved open the door and stepped into the room, now empty.
“Where is my son?” he demanded coldly. “Where has he gone?”
A nearby attendant quickly responded, “Your Majesty, the Crown Prince just left with a guard toward the back mountain. He said he needed some fresh air.”
“Hmph?”
The Emperor nodded slightly. “Let him be. After suffering such a blow and shock, it's only natural to need time to recover.”
He paused to think, then asked, “And what of the guards who returned?”
“They’re receiving treatment from auxiliary-type Soul Masters at their quarters.”
“Summon them. Once they’ve recovered, I want them to report to me personally.”
“Yes, Your Majesty!”
With his orders given, the Emperor turned to leave the room, intending to return to the palace.
The Douluo of Resolve, following at his side, hesitated before speaking up:
“Your Majesty... the Third Prince...”
The Emperor halted but did not look back. A cold pressure radiated from him, filling the space.
“What about him?”
“He... he slipped out in secret.”
The Douluo quickly added, “He said he was seeking a path more suited to himself to grow stronger... to compete for the crown prince’s position.”
“A path more suited to him?”
The Emperor sneered. “He thinks this grand Star Luo Empire is not enough to foster his growth? One after another... they all want to run off on their own.”
The Douluo, sensing his sovereign's displeasure, remained silent, head lowered.
“Send some men after him. I don’t want my sons returning in disgrace and defeat. They represent the face of the Star Luo Empire.”
“Understood!”
Meanwhile, deep within the Zerg Hive...
Lin Fan stared at his hands, his expression frozen, cold as ice.
He never expected… to be betrayed!
“Well played… Angel God! I swear I will crush your godhood, tear off your wings, and enslave you forever!”
He roared in fury, eyes burning with rage.
He never imagined that a fragment of the Angel God's will still lingered within Qian Renxue!
Even though he had transformed her into a Blade Queen, she somehow managed to awaken through that lingering divine will.
She had used the opportunity while Lin Fan was awakening his martial spirit to escape the hive.
Although the Overmind quickly detected something was wrong and ordered the swarm to pursue and intercept her, it was already too late.
With her powerful spiritual force and ability to control Zerg as a Blade Queen, she managed to flee.
However...
Lin Fan sensed the faint, indelible thread of spiritual connection between them—and a cruel smile crept across his lips.
“Run. Let’s see how far you’ll get.”
WHOOSH!
Xiao Wu flew back into the hive, wings fluttering.
When she saw the empty chamber and recalled what she’d witnessed earlier, she immediately understood what had happened. A flash of cold intent passed through her beautiful eyes.
“My lord Overlord, allow me to hunt down that traitor and bring her back!”
“There’s no need for that—yet.”
Lin Fan raised a hand to stop her.
For now, something even more important demanded attention.
BZZZT—!
A terrifying Martial Spirit slowly rose behind Lin Fan, its presence monstrous and unrelenting...
