Drunk on Marriage, Billionaire's Overindulgent Love-Chapter 812 - 317: [Heartbreaking Fairy Tale] No Matter How Vast the World Is, I Can’t Walk Out of You (Part 3)
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed someone restless heading toward the backyard. Lu Huai’an slightly furrowed his brow, politely nodding to the elder in front of him, "Uncle, you seem busy. I’ll excuse myself for now."
His attitude was impeccable, yet he seemed to lack patience.
Without waiting for the elder to respond, he turned and left.
His wrist was grabbed, and the next second, he was pulled into a warm embrace. Lin Chu didn’t even have to look up to know who it was.
"It’s so stuffy here. I want to check out the snow in the backyard, just for a little while. Will you keep me company?"
The rich scent of alcohol wafted into his nostrils, deepening the lines on Lu Huai’an’s brow. He reprimanded coldly, "Haven’t I told you? If you dare drink even a drop, don’t follow me home tonight." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
How long did it take for her to get into such a state from drinking!
Lin Chu leaned softly against the man’s chest, her eyes whirling with amusement, "I don’t have to go home with you. Grandpa Ji’s guests shouldn’t be too bad. After all, I’m so pretty, there must be a gentleman willing to take me in for a night."
Lu Huai’an’s face instantly turned dark.
His calm black eyes filled with icy coldness, and his well-defined fingers pinched the girl’s cheek, asking word by word, "Lin Chu, are you asking for a lesson?"
In two months, someone’s courage had grown a lot.
Very well.
The half-drunk, half-awake Lin Chu seemed to sense Lu Huai’an’s gloomy aura.
She was a bit pleased and let out a soft chuckle.
She explained softly, "I didn’t drink on purpose. The heater in the banquet hall was too high, and I was thirsty and wanted water. With everyone gathered around the main attraction, the waiters ignored me. The champagne was just at hand, and I just wanted a sip to quench my thirst. Who knew it would hit me so hard..."
It’s not that the champagne was strong; she simply couldn’t handle alcohol.
Rubbing her head against the man’s chest, she stood on tiptoe and kissed his chin, blinking innocently, "It’s really stuffy. Can we stay outside for just a little while?"
When he’s not around, she can step down the stairs on heels. When he’s around, she can’t even stand steady.
It’s not a secluded corner here, with many people around casting their gazes on Lin Chu, some envious, some admiring, some disdainful, and mocking.
Lu Huai’an, tall as he is, slightly angled himself to shield her from those malevolent gazes completely.
His lean and strong arms supported the girl’s slender waist, preventing her from really stumbling onto the floor in her playful antics.
The cold, sharply contoured face showed no ripples, "Aren’t you afraid of freezing to death outside?"
Lin Chu glared at him, "Look at you. I said you don’t get romance. It’s cold outside, but wouldn’t it be fine if you hold me?"
Given the current situation, that glare didn’t count.
Due to the alcohol, her cheeks were rosy, and her delicate features bore a gentle, enchanting smile. It was more of a playful pout than a glare.
Lu Huai’an watched expressionlessly as the small head nuzzled against his chest, his brow twitching.
"Not very old, but with plenty of ideas."
A detached voice sounded in her ear.
Before Lin Chu could react, her chin was lifted by the man’s long fingers, and lips with a faint tobacco scent pressed down, pecking gently at her lips.
A chorus of gasping exclamations surrounded them.
Still in a daze, she was already being led toward the backyard.
This wasn’t the first time Lu Huai’an had kissed her, but it was the first time he did so in front of others.
Because of this feather-like kiss, Lin Chu felt even dizzier, being led away by the man, unable to see the path clearly.
Her fingertip touched her lips, as if still bearing his taste, and suddenly she remembered her eighteenth birthday, her self-assumed first kiss.
She felt that the kiss just now was the rightful first kiss, and it seemed... truly sweet.
The man’s steps suddenly halted.
Lin Chu looked up, puzzled, "What’s wrong?"
Lu Huai’an didn’t speak, his gaze falling lightly outside the glass door, his chiselled handsome face devoid of any fluctuation, though those deep dark eyes held a bit more inscrutable depth.
Lin Chu followed his gaze.
They were still in the indoor corridor. Outside the glass door was a quiet lawn. The distance between the two street lamps wasn’t too far, and though the light was dim, the outside scene could barely be made out.
The snow was still falling, snowflakes gently drifting down from the night sky.
