Everything added up perfectly and Lin Feng had to admit that Pei Lingxi’s narration and confidence were quite convincing. She had even woven his masked cultivator identity in perfectly. Unless they forced her to take a heavenly oath on what she had said, they wouldn’t figure out that she was lying.

Gao Ling thought for a moment but it didn’t fully convince her, "I am not able to understand the part why this perpetrator left some disciples alive?"

This was indeed an unnecessary action. Since this perpetrator had killed so many of them, killing a few more wouldn’t affect him or her much.
