The disciples of Crimson Flame Palace got shocked.

"Why isn’t he moving?"

The woman asked but no one had any clue. Suddenly they heard a loud scream of their sect mate.

"GRAHHHHH..."

After screaming he began attacking here and there as if he was fighting someone.

This stunned the disciples further as it was totally not what they had expected.

"Is he hallucinating?"

The strongest in the group spoke and the others came to the same conclusion.

"But how?" Another man spoke. "Is this an unknown side effect we don’t know?"

"There is no way. These pills are tested heavily before the war to make sure nothing strange occurred which can spoil their chances to win."

As they were talking they saw something which attracted their attention. One of the disciples of Frozen Heart Sect had taken out one more talisman and she was already activating it.

Before they could even think to do anything a cloud formed above the frenzied disciple and in quick succession three lightning bolts struck him head-on...

Only one lightning was enough to crack open his head like nothing. The other lighting strikes just made sure that he wasn’t even recognizable, totally burnt to crisp. The disciple died without even being able to defend against the attack as he wasn’t in his right mind to do so.

"Dammit... it must be them. They were too calm when the barrier broke as if they knew that they were safe from him." The strongest disciple spoke and became alert since he didn’t know how these two made their sect mate fall into illusion.

One of the Frozen Heart Sect disciples finally smiled. "Finally that filth is gone. Three more to go..."

The Crimson Flame Palace disciples looked at each other. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"Should we assume that it’s some kind of treasure?" The woman asked with not so certain tone.

"Whatever it is we have to inform the sect. If it is only a single item then we can come with counter measures but if not..."

Everyone dreaded the unsaid part, they all can easily imagine what he was implying. Right now all of them wanted to just escape from here. Even if they were three against two they didn’t want to fight.

Fighting against Frozen Heart Sect disciples without a pill was unadvised. Frozen Heart Sect disciples were inherently strong and had a lot more higher-grade resources.

Similar scenes were happening all across the outskirts of Lotus Bloom City. Multiple disciples of Yin Yang Harmony Sect and Crimson Flame Palace had already been killed due to their foolishness and in contrast only one or two disciples had died on Frozen Heart Sect side due to some mistakes.

One of the three disciples who had just stopped since the effects of the escape talisman were over looked back.

Seeing that no one was coming for him he was relieved. "It seems I am the fortunate one—"

He suddenly stopped in mid sentance as a handsome cultivator landed in front of him. He was shocked. "Lin Hao? What are you doing here?"

Most of the disciples of Crimson Flame Palace had seen the portrait of Lin Hao recently. They were given instructions to get acquainted with Lin Hao if they saw him.

Lin Feng looked at the cultivator calmly. From the reaction of this disciple it was obvious that the news of him being a spy of Frozen Heart Sect hadn’t been spread by Yin Yang Harmony’s elders.

There was no news of Lin Hao for past years and no one had seen him in Lotus Bloom City. Most of them had speculated that he had gone into seclusion.

The worst part was that what was he doing in the outskirts of Lotus Bloom City. Elders of Yin Yang Harmony Sect definitely wouldn’t have let him in war-affected areas.

Some of the escaped disciples had made it to the city and told about what had happened.

Hearing similar situations from multiple disciples confirmed that Frozen Heart Sect had found a way to counter their hidden pill.
