Dual Cultivation: Ying Yang is way to Chaos-Chapter 363: Ghost Qi
The chances of finding such beasts are quite low though. Adapting to darkness might be easier where it is weak, but surviving the spatial tears is almost impossible.
Nonetheless the chances are never zero, so he had to be vigilant about it.
It did not take him long to reach the border of the Central Region and he continued moving deeper without stopping.
...
On the Treasure Peak of the Frozen Heart Sect, Xuan Xue looked at others and spoke ," Feng’er has destroyed most of the clan and sect grounds in the Eastern Region..."
She had received a communication talisman from Lin Feng regarding this.
Everyone was present here, including Mu Yao who was sulking inside for not being allowed to go with him.
"Alright, so basically we can invade now right?" Zi Mei was waiting for this day to come.
The Frozen Heart Sect had long been suppressed within the Northern Region by these two sects. Now at last it was their turn to feel the same.
"Feng’er is going to the Central Region now?" Xuan Lian asked.
"Yes." Xuan Xue nodded.
Mu Yao’s ears perked up. She had never heard about the Central Region. She immediately nudged Mo Yan who was beside her. "Senior sister, where is the Central Region?"
Mo Yan looked at her and shook her head. "It is a place where you are not allowed to go, so I am not telling you."
Mu Yao’s eyes almost turned watery when she heard that, but Mo Yan still shook her head.
"That will not work on me."
"Why~"
"Because you are a trouble maker and the Central Region is not safe enough for you." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"I have been hearing that for so long. I am already at the Nascent Soul Realm now..."
"Even Void Tribulation Realm cultivators die there easily, so your cultivation does not matter here..."
Mu Yao could only pout when she heard that while Mo Yan sighed and ruffled Mu Yao’s hair.
"Reach Spirit Origin and we will go together to see the outer areas."
Mu Yao’s eyes lit up. "Alright."
Xuan Xue and the others continued to discuss the matters of invasion. They wanted to minimise the loss of common lives in case of retaliation from these two sects.
Protecting everyone was impossible, so they had to choose an option which saved at least as many as they could.
...
Lin Feng was standing on a mountain which was a thousand kilometers deep inside the Central Region. The same distance where he had stopped last time with Xie Ruyue.
This distance is considered safe for Core Formation Realm cultivators, at least in terms of darkness.
He took out two sect tokens which he had gotten from Gou Tiancheng. One was blue while the other was black.
The blue one was from the sect which he had planned to visit first to fulfill the request he had accepted.
The black one was definitely from the sect Gou Tiancheng joined in the node world.
Worlds termed as node worlds are gathering points for most of the cultivators from the smaller worlds because resources and laws in these worlds are in abundance.
Once everything was over, he was planning to visit this world to see if it was good enough for him to stay for some time.
He looked at the black token one last time and stored it back.
He infused his qi inside the blue token and it shook in his hands. He let it go and it began floating towards the deeper region in the left direction.
Instead of following it as it was flying very slowly, he just grabbed it and began flying in that direction with his usual pace.
Now that he had seen this direction it would not be a problem to find the place he was looking for. There was no way anyone would miss a crater big enough to hold a city inside.
While flying he kept looking at the passing landscape below him. He noticed many different types of beasts and spirit herbs which were more influenced by darkness as he went deeper.
His thoughts suddenly went to Hei Ying. There was a high chance that she was also born in the Central Region and came to the Northern Region somehow, or maybe there was an area in the Northern Region which had been influenced by the law of darkness too.
Just as he was thinking that he felt imminent danger and he stopped immediately. His eyes got fixed on the location in front of him.
He used a small bit of chaos qi in his eyes but he was not able to see anything.
He did not get disappointed as he had expected this outcome. These spatial tears were created from a Dao bone of a mighty phoenix, so seeing them with his own strength was impossible for the time being.
He used a small attack at the exact location where the tear was while moving back and...
CRACKK!
The fabric got ripped instantly and a large amount of darkness escaped.
If he had not moved back then he would have been affected fatally.
The darkness in these dimensional pockets is far stronger than the darkness which has been enveloping the Central Region for centuries and has become weak.
So even for him with his pure yang physique it was not optimal to get hit by that corrosive and deadly darkness qi.
He sighed and continued his journey. While moving he came across another tear but he just ignored it without destroying it.
The darkness which escaped from these tears increased the concentration of darkness qi in the area by a lot, and if many of these tears were destroyed then the Central Region would not be the only region which would be affected by it.
As he continued further, he finally saw the remains of a small village. It seemed he had reached the area where the last villages of the Central Region existed before the border.
He looked at the village silently and frowned. He again used his chaotic eyes and suddenly his eyes widened slightly.
"Ghost qi?"
Ghost qi is nothing but a part of yin qi. It can be partially considered yin qi and it was a little surprising to find it here.
