"Hurry up and kill them. They won’t be able to move," Bai Lingxi said casually as she watched from above.

Shi Yu and Luo Li blankly stared at her.

’Damn, she’s petty. She did this just to mess with us because I called her an idiot,’ Shi Yu thought, shaking her head. Still, as her eyes narrowed on the frozen beasts, she knew at least this would help her increase her cultivation quickly.

Back at the Elders’ meeting room, every one of the Peak Masters’ mouths was wide open.

"Hey, Supreme Elder, could you have defeated the monsters like Disciple Bai Lingxi did at her current cultivation?" Qin Mu asked curiously, causing Lei Ping’s eyebrows to twitch at the question.

"Brat, do you want a beating? Have you forgotten the beatings I gave you?" Lei Ping glared at him. Qin Mu had been Lei Ping’s personal disciple years ago.

"So you can’t, huh?" Qin Mu muttered, making more veins bulge on Lei Ping’s forehead.

’This brat has no respect,’ Lei Ping grumbled inwardly.

"Haha, don’t get angry, Supreme Elder. Yes, you are right—he can’t do what Disciple Bai Lingxi did at her current cultivation... even I couldn’t," Jiang Hong replied honestly.

"Even you can’t, Sect Master?" Mu Feixu asked, wide-eyed. Jiang Hong was considered the most talented person in the sect, even more talented than the founder.

"Yes, I can’t. I don’t have a formidable bloodline like hers," Jiang Hong said in a neutral voice.

"I wonder what kind of bloodline she has..." Qin Mu looked at Bai Lingxi’s icy figure with curious eyes.

"Hey, Sect Master, do you think if I sold my body, I could buy a better treasure to offer Wang Ming to switch peaks?" Mu Feixu asked, looking at Jiang Hong, whose lips twitched at her words.

"Heh, you wouldn’t even receive a penny if you sold yourself because you’re ugly," Zhou Huixin mocked. Of course, her words were far from the truth—Mu Feixu’s charm was so high that, back on Earth, it could have sparked wars between kingdoms just to gain her favor.

"You bitch, you wanna fight?" Mu Feixu cursed, veins bulging on her forehead as her cultivation aura began leaking out.

"Do you think I’m afraid?" Zhou Huixin shot back, flaring her own cultivation in response.

"Alright, calm down. Stop provoking her, Peak Master Zhou. You know you’re weak and can’t defeat her. And you, Peak Master Mu Feixu, don’t spout nonsense—you’re not that valuable that someone would offer a treasure for you," Qin Mu said, trying to defuse the tension. He succeeded, but both women seemed to suffer critical emotional damage, freezing for a second, and then galred at Qin Mu who did not seem bothered by their gaze.

Ring, Ring

Everyone’s eyes turned toward the source of the sound, looking at Jiang Hong as he pulled out a glowing communication token.

"Looks like they can’t resist any longer," Lei Ping chuckled.

"Yeah, it was only a matter of time before they tried to contact me," Jiang Hong said indifferently, muting the token.

"The other Sect Masters?" Zhou Huixin asked looking at Jiang Hong.

"Yes, of course. I’m sure they’ve already seen the notifications and want to know who the disciple is," Jiang Hong replied.

"Makes sense. If someone like Disciple Bai Lingxi participates, they won’t stand a chance in the competition—not to mention their reaction when they learn about Disciple Wang Ming," Qin Mu commented.

A couple of minutes ago, at the Heavenly Sword Sect…

In a large open area filled with rich spiritual energy, disciples wore entirely different robes compared to the Yang-Yin Sect. The most notable difference was the large sword symbol embroidered on the back of their robes, with each disciple having a different-colored sword, likely representing their status.

At the highest point of the sect stood a massive golden sword which was entirely made up of pure gold which signified who affluent the sect was, the sword was directly embedded in the ground. Its size was humongous, comparable to the largest skyscrapers on Earth. This was the headquarters of the Heavenly Sword Sect—where the Peak Masters and Elders held meetings and where the sect’s most precious techniques and items were stored which few had access to.

Currently, all the Peak Masters, along with some Core Elders, were gathered. Among them were two extremely beautiful women watching the black screens that had just turned on. If Wang Ming were present, he would immediately recognize the two women—Hui Mei, the Sect Master of the Heavenly Sword Sect, and her personal disciple, Tang Ning—whom he had met alongside the princess of the Black Bamboo Kingdom.

"Disciple Tang Ning, as expected of your younger sister—she is as formidable and talented as you are," praised one of the Peak Masters while watching the screen, which showed a beautiful female resembling Tang Ning but slightly younger, fighting and killing beasts.

"Thank you, Peak Master, for the praise. She has received many resources from the family, along with her own hard work," Tang Ning replied in a sweet voice, clearly satisfied with her sister’s performance.

"Hah, as expected of the Tang Family—every member of them is monstrously talented," remarked another Peak Master. The Tang Family, to which Tang Ning belonged, was one of the top families, much like the Min Family that Min Li came from.

"Honestly, if the Sect Master hadn’t decided to make her personal disciple like Tang Ning, I would have tried to recruit her," said another Peak Master with a sigh, glancing at Hui Mei, who remained expressionless—until the next words caused her expression to subtly change.

"I heard that a member of the Min Family joined the Yang-Yin Sect. Can you believe it?" one of the Peak Masters said with disdain.

"Really? Their loss. I’m sure Tang Ning’s sister will achieve the top place in this competition," another Elder commented.

Hearing their conversation, Hui Mei’s mind shifted to the memory of an extremely handsome man, the friend of Princess Wu Jing— a monster in cultivation talent, in her eyes.
