Dumped A Scumbag At The Altar For A One Night Stand With A Billionaire-Chapter 139: Have A Wonderful Night
"Does it still hurt?" He suddenly asked again, awakening her from the momentary stupor she had been caught in, she quickly retracted her hand.
Now that she seemed to have gotten her senses back after being lost in the feeling of his hands over her skin, she felt the mild pain on the spot his thumb massaged with a bit more pressure.
Realizing that if this didn’t stop, she was going to continue getting lost in this whirlpool of sensations, she pulled her leg away immediately saying, "It’s fine now, thank you."
Actually, it did still hurt a bit, but if she let this continue, her heart might just explode right out of her chest with how wildly it was beating.
She was relieved he made no protest, merely nodding in understanding then walking away into the inner room.
He didn’t think she had any idea how incredibly tempting it was to be in the same space as her, locked up in this vast silence with her, the endless possibilities of what could happen between them in this span of time made his mind conjure up so many images he wanted to distract himself from.
He grabbed a book from the shelf in the inner lounge room, opening the pages to immerse himself in thought provoking ideas, but the words on the page suddenly shifted barely twenty minutes into him reading, replaced by the image of her smooth calf in his hand, he imagined his hand roaming upwards, disappearing into her clothes until...
F*ck! This wasn’t working!
He picked up another book on the shelf, and all the words he tried to read disappeared again, all he could see on the page were her luscious pink lips, slightly parted in invitation, her sparkling blue eyes staring up at him.
He slammed the book shut, even the words weren’t helping in sealing off this raging need inside of him.
Maybe a momentary walk will help.
He paced back and forth in the room, the glass separating the inner room from the outer room did nothing to conceal his form, or hers...
He could see her just sitting there, nervously twining her fingers together. Was she feeling it too? This insane restlessness, this...desire.
He couldn’t tell how long he’d paced back and forth for, but his mind didn’t seem to want to stop thinking about her anytime soon, and the fact that she was sitting right there with him made him just want to ignore everything else and take her right there and then.
No, he was a man of self control, he wouldn’t just lose himself like an animal in heat. He thought, but that thought dissipated each time he looked in her direction catching sight of her lovely form sitting curled on the sofa.
’Damn you Kaleb! Where the hell are you?’

"Achoo!" It was past working hours, Kaleb was just leaving the company building when he suddenly sneezed.
He stopped short, recalling a certain superstitious belief his mother used to have. Back then she used to tell him that he’d sneeze out of the blue if there was someone somewhere cursing at him.
He couldn’t help but wonder if there really was someone somewhere cursing him right now. But he shrugged a second later dismissing the whole idea.
The president must be busy sending a thousand words of gratitude to him right now, after all he had done him such a huge favor by manipulating the situation to lock him in with the woman he clearly has feelings for.
You know, he’d always thought that his boss needed a little push, just a tiny push and tonight could be that push he’d been waiting for.
"I wonder what’s happening there right now." Kaleb mumbled to himself.
Wait, the president wouldn’t even have time to send word of gratitude to him at the moment, he would probably be too busy with miss Roberts right now.
Kaleb cackled to himself but his mirth suddenly stopped halfway.
Busy doing what...? He wondered. If he knew his boss well, the man might never actually be taking advantage of this situation which graciously just fell on his lap.
What if nothing was happening up there right now and they both were just sitting in the room, looking at one another like two strangers?
No, he couldn’t let that happen!
He had done everything he could to help, nothing could get two people closer than having them locked up in a room, whatever happened next would be up to them. But it would be too bad if nothing actually ends up happening, perhaps he should do something, take one final step?
Kaleb stood at the parking lot, lost in thought for a while before he concluded.
"Yes, I should do something to spark some romance between them tonight. Romance fixes everything." With this thought, he rushed back into the company.
A lot of employees had already left at this time, Kaleb quickly went to the maintenance room and found the electricity boxes of the whole company, he located the one allocated specifically to the eightieth floor and a smirk curled up his lips as he pulled the lever down completely switching off all electricity sources in the eightieth floor.
He sighed in satisfaction, "What a huge favor I’m doing for you president. Don’t be too grateful, I’ll just end up asking for a reward. Hehehe."
Of course he instructed the company guards not to take their usual night patrols to the eightieth floor as there was currently an ongoing maintenance check up there, then he finally left the company.
’Have a wonderful night, president.’

Everything suddenly went dark! Celine gasped when she couldn’t see more than just shadows as the sudden darkness descended.
"What’s going on?" She asked.
Tristan who had been in the inner room for the past few hours, emerged with a flashlight to look around. Through the windows, one could still see wisps of light from other parts of the company, but the lounge room had been fully plunged into darkness.
"Hold this." She heard him say as he handed his phone to her which he’d just been using as a flashlight.
Had he sensed her discomfort with the darkness?
"Thank you." She whispered, clutching tightly onto the device.
She hated being in stark darkness, she wasn’t necessarily afraid of the dark, she just hated it. The idea of not being able to see a thing while your mind conjured up strange shadows in the dark sent a creep up her spine.
The small considerate act of giving her his light sent a warm tingle through her chest.
"Power’s down on the whole floor." He said standing in front of the windows, "What the hell is the maintenance team up to this late?"
He strode to the entrance door and the timer on the security system interface had vanished, everything must have shut down with the loss of electricity. He tried the door again but he knew it wouldn’t budge, loss of electricity meant permanent shutdown until electricity was restored.
"Where the hell is Kaleb?" He almost growled in annoyance, the idiot should have been here a few hours ago, but even after the sun set and working hours for the day was completely over, Kaleb didn’t appear.
Was it truly as he suspected? Did Kaleb have something to do with this?
It better not be, otherwise...
"The security team..." He heard her suddenly say behind him and he turned to her. "The security team take rounds all over the company every night, don’t they?" She asked.
His eyes lit up as he realized what she was trying to say.
"Yes they do, but it’ll be hard to tell when they come around this way."
"If we stay quiet, we could hear footsteps, we can knock on the door to let them know someone is here and they could get us out."
He seemed to ponder on that for a second, before nodding in agreement. "Okay, we’ll try that."
Several minutes passed in silence, and as time passed by the temperature seemed to rise with each second. The air conditioning in the lounge seemed to have stopped with the loss of electricity and the whole room slowly began to radiate a disturbing heat.
Tristan tugged at his collar in discomfort.
’Unbelievable Kaleb, unbelievable.’ Tristan thought.
The idiot must have left the office by now and not once had he come by in this direction.
The culprit himself however was already home by now, with his head resting over his girlfriend’s lap as he recounted the events of today to her excitedly.
"Are you sure your boss will be happy about this?"
"Oh I’m damn sure, he’ll be more than happy!" Kaleb replied confidently.
The weather these days had grown increasingly hot, Celine fidgeted in her seat, uncomfortable because she was already sweating profusely.
The ruffling of clothes pulled her eyes to Tristan’s direction, he was sitting on the smaller sofa opposite her own, undoing the button on his coat as he tossed it off in annoyance.
She couldn’t blame him, she felt like she was being cooked from the inside as well.
His eyes met hers and she saw him suddenly move, getting up from his seat to approach her.
Tristan noticed she wasn’t in the best shape either, but she was clamping it in, perhaps embarrassed about the situation. The lounge room had no way of receiving natural ventilation without electricity, it was surrounded by fixed walls of glass, though not once had the company suffered an electricity failure hence it was never a problem.
With a sigh he walked towards her, she glanced up at him curiously as he crouched down in front of her. He reached for the buttons on her shirt and slowly undid the first one and her eyes went wide all of a sudden.
"What are you doing?!" She exclaimed.
