A white Audi could be seen parked secludedly at the side of the road near an opulent looking villa.

Erica glared through the steel gates of the villa from where she could see two kids, a girl and a boy playing within the yard. A very attractive looking woman was watching over the kids, playing them too. Their laughter distant echoes from afar.

"Look at that, a child who should be dead still playing around like that." Erica uttered darkly, recalling how the child who could have been dead lessening her troubles was still right there very much alive.

Harry, her well trusted henchman was sitting in the passenger seat as he also watched the kids with a complicated expression.

"My wedding is supposed to be in three days, but you almost ruined my plans. Tristan almost discovered that these brats are actually his children!" She yelled almost breathlessly.

"I’m sorry Erica, I gave my men strict instructions. The plan was to run the kid over until she dies but there was already a crowd gathering there, he could have been caught so he had to leave immediately, the child had been badly injured and he thought she wouldn’t survive."

"Yet here she is looking so hale and hearty you fucking idiot!" Harry went quiet unable to say anything else after this.

Erica glared at the happy children again. Those little brats might ruin everything for her, she could have proceeded to the second phase of her plans by now. Before the wedding day, Erica needed to make sure there wouldn’t be any interruptions or other things that would destroy what would become the happiest day of her life.

What if that dumb woman Celine suddenly regained her senses on the wedding day and crashed the wedding to tell Tristan about these kids? She couldn’t have that.

She drove her car away from there with a suffocating anger surging up her chest along with an annoying lower belly pain she had been having these days. She couldn’t even peacefully plan the wedding anymore knowing things could go wrong. That Celine Roberts had skillfully planted herself into his company and if she dared to get anywhere close to Tristan, Erica would make sure she paid in blood.

"Godmother, godmother! Leo cheated!" Leah pouted.

"Hey Leo, you can’t keep winning alone, at least give me or your sister a chance to win too." Natalia pinched Leo’s cheeks affectionately.

These kids, no matter how much time she spent with them, she would always find them incredibly sweet and adorable. Natalia had moved in for a few days to help take care of Leah and the more time she spent with them, the more she suddenly felt like moving in permanently with Celine and the kids, that was how attached to them she was beginning to get.

Leo escaped Natalia’s touchy hands which were rubbing all over his cheeks and his hair giving him silly kisses. "Godmother, please have some self respect, you shouldn’t touch men however you like." He uttered with a serious face.

"Men? Who is a man, you?" She looked at him amused at his words. "Oh well, you’re quite literally the only thing close to a man I have in my life right now so you might be right." She pinched his cheeks again, "Our Leo is a little man!"

Natalia used to think it was much easier to get along with Leah since she was always all smiles and the boy was always stoic, but Leo could be affectionate in his own way, just don’t touch him much, he didn’t like that. She had realized, but of course Natalia enjoyed crossing his boundaries.

The boy glared at her with his adorable hazel eyes.

"Sorry kid, I’m shameless and I have no self respect, at least then I can touch you however I like!" She said smiling widely and teasingly pulling his cheeks again.

Leah giggled at that interaction from where she sat, though she wasn’t able to walk well on her own yet they still brought her out here to play so she could see the sun.

Leo could only sigh helplessly, having no choice but to resign to his fate letting her squeeze his cheeks, hug and kiss him to her heart’s content. This godmother of his was a little crazy, but he kind of liked her anyway.

Immediately she let him go, Leo felt like running for his little life as he quickly bolted into the house, "You two play the game yourselves." He said before leaving.

Sighing internally, he shook his head thinking, girls were such a hassle.

"Let’s keep playing godmother." Leah called excitedly, at least now she could win since Leo was gone. She knew he would just go inside to watch business news again.

"Alright, but I won’t go easy just because you’re little." Natalia said challengingly.

Natalia concentrated on playing with Leah now since Leo wasn’t there anymore, she had teased him into running away. She chuckled to herself at his expression.

"Wow, so handsome!" Little Leah exclaimed seeing the handsome man that just emerged from the car.

Natalia remembered meeting him for the first time at the hospital, he was the man that called himself Celine’s fiancee.

Natalia couldn’t disagree with Leah’s words, the man looked like he was plucked out of that popular magazine which showcased rich and handsome men.

He looked eye catching wearing that crisp grey suit with his hands in his pockets approaching them.

"Hi Mr handsome, are you married, in a relationship or still single?" Leah asked in a cute little voice.

Julian was about to ask Natalia about Celine, but upon hearing the girl’s cute little voice he stopped. The previous time he’d seen the girl she had looked more sick but right now she had a lovely rosy color to her cheeks. Her eyes were large and round with beautiful blue orbs just like her mother’s.

"Why do you ask little princess, would you like me to be your boyfriend or your Dad?" He squatted in front of the kid, asking her playfully.

"No no, I’m asking for my godmother. She is single, and pretty and she really needs a boyfriend."

"What the..." Natalia was dumbfounded.

"And who is your godmother?" He asked.

Leah immediately pointed to Natalia, "Her! Isn’t she pretty?"

He raised a quick appraising look in Natalia’s direction and she felt like being swallowed whole by the earth.

This kid was putting her in an awkward situation!

"Of course she’s very beautiful, but... wanna hear a secret?" He asked and as Leah nodded, he quirked a finger and she moved her ears closer. Julian whispered something to her and she giggled, giving Natalia a peculiar look.

"What did you say to that child?" Natalia couldn’t help but ask.

"The truth." He replied, straightening up to his full height.

Natalia narrowed her eyes just as he changed the topic to ask, "Celine, is she home?"

Natalia sighed worriedly, "Not yet, I’m thinking of going to the police if I still don’t hear from her in the next two hours. She didn’t come back home last night and her phone isn’t going through, she is a big girl and can take care of herself but..." She trailed off, not wanting to give out too much information.

"Where was she supposed to be yesterday, I’ll go find her!" Julian immediately said making Natalia look at him with surprise.

It seemed he really was interested in Celine. Natalia thought, a pity, there was already someone else creeping into Celine’s heart.

"Grayson Corp, she works there."

Julian left as quickly as he came and Natalia couldn’t help but wonder what kind of rivalry would grow between these two men. She was sure this one liked Celine, as for the other man, Natalia couldn’t say but she had a feeling things would get interesting.
