Chapter 162: Enjoy Calling Your Name

Immediately she finished her mental countdown, his voice suddenly called her back.

’Of course I had no plans of leaving in the first place, can’t you see I’m not even wearing my shoes?’

She made fun of him internally, a lovely smile graced her lips as he stopped her from leaving, she knew it! She knew he wouldn’t want to let her be alone with his perverted cousin.

Celine slowly turned around after schooling her expression, "But... I don’t want to impose, you said you don’t share... My presence might make you uncomfortable, I’d better just leave, Ryan will be waiting for me by now anyway." She said innocently then turned around to leave.

"If you take one more step I swear I’ll tie you down to the seat." He suddenly said grimly, losing his temper because she wasn’t listening to him, the thought of her spending all the hours throughout the flight with Ryan who never was able to hide his clear lust for her in his eyes incensed a rage in Tristan.

She really was having the time of her life with his reaction everytime, she could have burst out laughing had she not controlled herself,

’I just pretended not to listen, and you’re already losing your temper?’

Celine turned around again this time looking slightly annoyed she grumbled, "First you ask me to leave, now you’re getting mad," She complained with a pout then stomped back to her seat.

He looked visibly relieved as she strapped on her seatbelts, he then took the seat opposite her own and fixed his gaze sternly on her,

"And don’t you dare think of leaving here until the flight lands." He asserted, he didn’t want her running off to Ryan if he wasn’t paying attention, so he decided to just sit there and keep an eye on her himself. Who knew what that pervert cousin of his had up his sleeves getting a personal coach just for him and Celine, and would he just let her go to him, absolutely not!

Tristan crossed his arms while keeping his eyes on her not so much as blinking.

Celine wanted to laugh at his unconscious possessiveness, but she kept up an act as if she was still annoyed, she curled up in her seat, then picked up the blanket provided and covered herself concealing half her face, she let out the smile she surpressed discreetly.

A few hours later.

Celine slowly opened her eyes, she had no idea when she’d fallen asleep, the whole coach was now dark, as if someone had turned off the lights, her eyes widened in panic as she quickly called,

"Tristan?!" Her voice sounding a little low as she’d just woken up from sleep.

"Hmm," To her relief she heard him answer her with a hum, he was still in his seat in front of her, but due to the darkness, she couldn’t see him, "What is it?" He asked, as if he had been waiting for her to speak as she called him.

"The lights..." She began but she hadn’t finished speaking when the whole place brightened up again, he was still seated in front of her, but with his head lightly rested. She saw the remote in his hands and realized what had happened.

She had probably fallen asleep and he had turned off the lights to let her sleep better. A warm feeling filled her chest at that thought, she silently gazed at his face for some moments before quietly calling,

"Tristan,"

"Hmm." He answered again waiting for her to say something, but a second later she called again,

"Tristan."

He finally opened his eyes to look at her, "What is it?"

"Tristan." She called his name again letting the sound roll off her lips, as she gazed into his eyes.

He raised an eyebrow impatiently, "Do you have something to say or do you just enjoy calling my name?"

"What if I just enjoy calling your name?" She returned his question with a question.

She saw shock fleeting past his golden green eyes, gazing into her blue ones as if searching for something, "You should go back to sleep." He said plainly then closed his eyes again resting his head backwards.

He fell silent afterwards, but Celine knew he wasn’t asleep, "Tristan," she called again.

He opened his eyes annoyed, but before he could say anything she quickly spoke,

"How long before we get there?"

His annoyed expression immediately disappeared as he heard she did have something to say after all, "About nine hours left now."

She nodded then fell silent, Tristan relaxed back in his seat again, but it was only a second later before she called again,

"Tristan."

He slowly opened his eyes again, giving her a ’what is it this time’ look.

Celine held back a smile, "Please pass me that blanket, it’s getting colder." She pointed to the extra blanket by his seat.

He picked it up and passed it to her, then he watched her use the blanket over the first one.

"Anything else?" He asked expressionlessly.

Celine held back a smile, and shook her head.

’Do you think this is annoying? I looked after your kids alone for five years, you’ll just have to bear with this.’

Celine taunted him mentally.

Seeing that she no longer had any demands, Tristan reclined in his seat again, he waited for a bit if she would call for him again, and when she didn’t after a long while, he let out a sigh, then gazed at her, she had closed her eyes as if she had fallen asleep once again.

His throat tightened as he stared at her beautiful face, he quickly looked away from her face and kept his gaze outside looking at the passing dark clouds.

It felt so nice, to hear her say his name, but unfortunately, this was something he didn’t have the liberty to enjoy, she was something he didn’t have the liberty to want.

Tristan shut his eyes as another sigh escaped his lips, he focused on the darkness instead of the disturbingly heart pounding knowledge of her presence with him.

He had slowly started to drift off to sleep again when he was suddenly awakened by,

"Tristan."

She called him again.

His eye swung open for the hundredth time again and he gave her a mild glare, he thought she’d fallen asleep for hell’s sake.

She meekly shrunk her neck a bit but he was sure there was no remorse in her eyes at her incessant calls, in fact, it even seemed as if she was doing it in purpose, "I’m hungry."
