Dumped A Scumbag At The Altar For A One Night Stand With A Billionaire-Chapter 96: I Do Not Like You
Celine was in her office that morning working on the pile of files Tristan had assigned to her which she didn’t end up going through yesterday, she’d insisted to take them to her office and would rather go back and forth than stay in his office where she would constantly be aware of his presence, being as far away from him as possible was the best option for her if she didn’t want to rekindle flames that should have been dead five years ago.
She took a pause, letting out a weary sigh as she massaged her temple. She had a pounding headache that wouldn’t go away even though she had popped a quick pain killer down this morning, she knew what she needed was a good sleep since she hadn’t gotten any at all last night thinking about her kids future.
A knock on the office door drew her attention, her tired eyes settling on the door for a second before she called for the person to come in.
Ryan, with his rascally dark hair and seductive eyes walked into her office. She had to say the Blakewood family line produced irresistible hunks in terms of looks, their family genes did carry remarkable good looks, but she really wasn’t as charmed by Ryan as he thought she was.
Ryan was conceited and had the misconception that no woman could resist his looks, he used every opportunity to flirt with her which sometimes made her a bit uncomfortable.
"Good morning Mr Blakewood." Nevertheless, Celine would still behave politely with him, he was the vice president of the company after all and she had to keep things professional.
He grinned, his usual women can’t resist kind of charming grin with smouldering eyes as if to entrap her in his charm. Celine wondered if it worked on all the women he had met before because it wasn’t working on her at all, she kept her professional business ready expression without melting to his indirect seduction.
"C’mon, aren’t we close by now, you can address me by my name, but if you’re not comfortable saying my name in public..." He stalked towards her desk, placing his palms on it to lean over as he added in a whisper, "...you can call me that when we’re alone."
He emphasized the words ’alone’ with a glint in his eyes that suggested a deeper meaning rather than just the two of them in the same office.
Celine averted his gaze with a smile, she was being polite not uttering anything rude to pop his imaginary bubble of her being absolutely captivated by him, but he suddenly held her chin, turning her face back in his direction making her look at him. "You’re a beauty Celine, a beauty should never look away so shyly, you’re making my heart race."
Celine was taken aback, she froze for sometime unable to find words to say.
He truly did think she was crazy about him didn’t he?
He suddenly began to lean in towards her, moving closer and closer as if he wanted to kiss her. Celine blinked, unable to hide her discomfort any longer she quickly moved away, getting up from her seat and strode towards the window. There was a deep frown on her face now.
Celine’s silence at his advances was just her trying not to create an unfavorable atmosphere around the work she would be doing here at Grayson Corp. She had other big goals but that didn’t include making enemies for herself, but if he couldn’t read that she was just being polite with him, she would gladly spell it out to him.
"Mr Blakewood, you’re probably unaware that I know about the fact that you have a girlfriend. I apologize if this is out of line, but I’m not interested in you." She turned to face him, her breathtaking features carved in a serious expression without a waver in her gaze, "Not even one bit."
If he wanted to try and take advantage of her, openly flirting and trying to kiss her, she might as well shed all cordiality and slam him back to reality.
His handsome face merely showed a tiny hint of disappointment before it vanished a second later as if it had never been there. He had this uncaring rascally expression,
"My dear Celine, aren’t you just adorable." He said with an air of casualness. "Having a girlfriend isn’t a big deal, it’s not as if she’s my wife yet, you never know, my girlfriend might just change one of these days." He remarked strolling around her office as if he owned the place. His fingers roamed over her glass desk as he gave her a suggestive look as if to see if she knew what he meant.
Celine resisted the urge to roll her eyes, some men were too confident. They believed they were charming enough for a woman to be absolutely incapable of resisting them. "Whether you keep your girlfriend and find another, it quite frankly doesn’t concern me at all?"
He walked up to her crossing around her desk making sure to stand a breath away from her, again invading her personal space. Celine wanted to move backwards but she was already standing before the floor length glass windows, so she just had to tolerate his proximity for a moment.
"Oh it does concern you..." He whispered, "Because you, my lovely lady have caught my eye." He remarked in a low voice, as if him being enamored by her was an honor she should truly appreciate.
Slowly, he began to trail his fingers over her bare arm in a seductive attempt to get her to react to his touch while saying. "I like you Celine, I really really like you."
He was leaning in again clearly not taking the hint from the first time or from her words. Celine could perceive the scent of his expensive perfume that reeked of luxury and high class.
A rush of disgust overcame her and Celine immediately pushed at his chest causing him to stagger backwards, before he could be surprised by her actions she landed a fierce slap on his face.
She had hit someone like this recently too, Tristan...but that had only been because his proximity and his kiss had awakened something from the past within her, feelings she couldn’t afford, for Ryan however it was out of pure disgust. He was a giant, conceited asshole who thought he could get whatever he wanted, she was more than happy not only to dash that misconception of his but to slap reality into his arrogant face.
His advances towards her had been annoying lately but she just silently bore with it so as not to offend him, but she hated men like him who tried to take advantage of women the most, not to mention he already had a girlfriend.
"I think you don’t get the point Mr Blakewood, I do not like you. Not even a little bit, you disgust me. Please, stay away from me."
Instead of being displeased or bursting out in fury, he did something Celine completely didn’t expect.
