Elf Kingdom: Game of the World Tree-Chapter 1230 - 800: Anticipation (Bonus - )
Hearing Belusabab’s words, the Demon Monarchs looked at each other, lowering their heads silently, not daring to speak up.
Seeing this, Belusabab’s expression turned sour.
He took a bite of some unknown flesh handed over by a servant succubus, his already bloated body slightly shaking, a trace of impatience flashing in his eyes:
"A bunch of useless fools! Keep searching! The area of the First Layer of Hell is just so big; can’t you even find a single Hell core?"
As he spoke, he devoured the flesh in one gulp, wiped his mouth, and when reaching again for the tray in the succubus’s hands, found it empty.
Belusabab frowned slightly, casting an annoyed glance at the trembling Demon Monarchs below.
"Get lost!"
He snorted coldly.
The Demon Monarchs felt as if they were granted amnesty, bowed reverently, and hurriedly retreated. This scene was noted by Belusabab, fueling his anger:
"Stop! Come back!"
The Demon Monarchs paused slightly.
Belusabab narrowed his eyes:
"How do the Demon Monarchs under Azazel retreat?"
The demons shivered, then decisively fell to the ground, rolling away smoothly...
"That’s more like it..."
Belusabab nodded in satisfaction.
Subconsciously extending his hand to the food tray, he touched nothing, and only then realized he had already eaten everything.
Feeling displeased, Belusabab pinched the succubus’s thigh hard, sneering at her pale face:
"Next time bring more food, or I’ll eat you!" 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
All the demons withdrew in trepidation, leaving Belusabab alone in the Demon God Palace. He stood by the window, looking at the Demon City outside, his gaze unfathomable:
"More and more Abyss Myths are entering the First Layer of Hell... I must find Azazel’s core before those two fellows Belial and Mammon!"
...
Silent Annihilation Wilderness, Fallen God Canyon.
The battle to siege the Demon Fortress was nearing its end.
The three Holy Giant Dragons chasing the Abyss Myths had already returned, while the remaining three Evil Gods ultimately failed to escape.
The strongest one was entangled by Mars, then thrown into the Demon Maze by Eve using the Gateway of Reversal, while the other two with lesser strength were eliminated.
Nothing more, they were too ugly, easily frightening children.
These days, even the Demon Maze isn’t for just any stray cat or dog; at least you need to look decent to join the Evil God crew for player inspection.
Without the constraint of the Abyss Myths, those Legendary Power Demon Monarchs in the Demon Army were no match for the Mythical Giant Dragons. They were wiped out by the dragons in a mere encounter.
Devoid of the protection of the strong, the walls of the Demon Fortress were thoroughly blasted open by the players using the Magic Crystal Cannons...
Having witnessed the fall of the Abyss Myths, the demons had long lost their last bit of morale, plunging into a full-scale rout.
However, with Eve temporarily controlling the Gate of Hell using spells provided by Azazel, they could no longer escape back to Hell.
A fierce battle erupted within the fortress, where the main force of the Player Army clashed with the Demon Army. Yet, calling it a fierce battle might be more apt to call it a one-sided hunt.
Devoid of fighting spirit and cornered, the demons could only defend while fleeing outward from the fortress, amidst which infighting even broke out in several places, leading to mutual slaughters.
Some even went so far as to damage demon fortifications not yet reached by the players, grabbing things and fleeing to less crowded places outside the city...
Looking over the scene, the entire Fallen God Canyon was a scattered mess, a scene of chaos.
This sight left Eve, standing beside the Gate of Hell, utterly flabbergasted, contemplating how demons truly remain demons; once losing the constraints of higher-ups, they become a scattered mess.
It’s just that the number of demons on the Abyss Plane is quite substantial, and the seven hells exert a reasonably strong suppression on the True God, otherwise, the entire Abyss might have long been wiped out by the armies of the gods.
Conversely, should demons unite like some races in the material realm, the entire Segis Universe would probably have been dragged into the abyss long ago.
This consideration led Eve to ponder another issue, which is if the Abyss indeed possesses its own will, its intelligence may not be overly profound, or its restraint over demons is lacking.
Otherwise, all the Abyssal Will needed to do was appoint a Demon God to unify all Abyss Planes, and the disaster for the entire material realm would begin.
The battlefield across the entire Fallen God Canyon descended into utter chaos, to an extent even more exaggerated than when the Demon Army fled in the Segis World.
Unfortunately, the players ultimately couldn’t match the demons in numbers; when the demons started fleeing in all directions, even though many wanted to chase them down, they still felt they were out of reach.
Rather than exhausting themselves chasing scattered fugitives, it was better to finish off the unfortunates blocked within the fortress...
The firing of the Magic Crystal Cannons had stopped, and the Transforming Ji Gang commanding on the battlefield channel had also given up on healing.
At this point, commanding was no longer necessary, and the main force of players who charged into the fortress was already in a frenzy of slaughter, with only their own guilds still responding to orders.
Only then did Transforming Ji Gang gradually calm down, waking from the high-paced advancement earlier, realizing that although his commanding ability had greatly improved, he probably still had quite a gap compared to Brother Mu.
