Chapter 165: Chapter 165: Annie Wants a Little Sister

Sienna hadn’t expected Silas would still remember this.

She desperately wanted to tell him that they’d once had a child together.

But he already died in the war zone.

Yet, if she told him this, Silas would definitely shoulder all the blame himself.

He still wasn’t over the pain of being abandoned by his own parents at death’s door; if she let him endure the agony of losing a child as well, he wouldn’t be able to take it.

She couldn’t take that risk.

She could only let all she wanted to say rot inside.

Sienna’s eyes turned slightly red: "He stayed with me for a year in my darkest times, but because of my negligence, his life ended in the war zone. This pain will haunt me forever and never be resolved; only carrying it with me makes it a little easier to breathe."

Hearing this, Silas was at a loss for words to describe what he was feeling.

After Sienna left him, someone else stole the place he once had in her heart.

And that person lost his life because of Sienna, becoming a wound she could never heal.

Silas could tell Sienna cared about him, deeply.

Jealousy grew wild in Silas’s heart; he couldn’t accept that Sienna held another man within her. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

If that man were alive, he could fairly compete for his place in Sienna’s heart.

But he was already dead.

He’d become an everlasting scar in Sienna’s heart that could never be erased.

This made Silas feel as if he’d punched cotton, exerting strength with nowhere to unleash it.

But things had come to this—he had no choice but to accept reality.

Thankfully, Sienna now belonged to him alone, and he had plenty of ways to make that man gradually fade in Sienna’s heart.

Sooner or later, she’d be filled with only him, inside and out.

Once these thoughts were clear, Silas’s gaze burned as he looked at Sienna: "Sienna, no matter what you’ve been through, or who you’ve met, I know the person you’ve always loved is me. That’s enough for me, and that’s why I’ve treasured you in my heart all these years."

Sienna’s brows furrowed slightly: "Isn’t it more like you’ve kept me in your heart as a pet?"

"What do you mean by that? You know I don’t like pets."

"But back then, you told Chase you kept me by your side like a kitten."

Silas looked at her incredulously: "When did I ever say that? I hate kittens! How would I ever keep you like a kitten? Sienna, don’t tell me this was why you left me."

Sienna lowered her eyes, silent.

Back then, Henry Prescott found her and said many harsh things, making her consider leaving Silas.

But what truly made her decide was that line Silas had said.

She thought Silas was so controlling because he kept her as a pet.

Seeing Sienna remain silent for so long, Silas understood everything now.

He was both angry and pained; he couldn’t help but bend down and bite Sienna’s lips fiercely.

"You little ingrate, I’ve treated you so well and you actually think I kept you as a kitten? Even if I did say such a thing, it was because you told me not to let anyone know about our relationship, so I had to tell Chase that instead.

Why didn’t you ask me first? Why did you just leave me, Sienna? Shouldn’t you be punished for that?"

He didn’t wait for Sienna to react, grabbed her head with his big hands, and caught her lips in a sudden kiss.

His kiss was possessive, as if venting all the pain from years of separation.

Sienna struggled fiercely, pounding his chest and muttering, "Silas, Grandpa and Julian are right here, don’t get carried away."

Only then did Silas let go of her, glancing over at the old man and the little boy beside them, eyes wide as they watched the show.

His tone was a little disgruntled: "Grandpa, you see us kissing and you don’t know to look away? Julian doesn’t know any better, but you do!"

Old Master Prescott cursed in annoyance: "How would I know you’d start making out here? You think I want to watch? I’m worried I’ll get a sty! Julian, let’s get far away from them."

He took Julian’s hand and headed toward the main hall.

But after walking a short way, he snuck a peek back.

Seeing the two locked in a passionate embrace, Old Master Prescott chuckled.

He gently stroked Julian’s head and asked, "Julian, do you want a little brother or a little sister?"

Julian Prescott blinked curiously, eyes big: "If I want one, can I have one?"

"That depends on your dad—if he can marry your mom soon enough."

Julian clapped his hands excitedly: "I want a little sister! Mommy should give me a little sister!"

Seeing them reconciled, Old Master Prescott was thrilled himself, grinning: "Alright, then let’s help your dad win your mom back."

"Alright, alright! I’m going to have a sister! I’ll save all the yummy food for her!"

He was so loud, the two caught up in their kissing heard everything clearly.

Silas slowly loosened his hold on Sienna, tracing the edge of her reddened lips with his thumb.

His voice was still husky with passion: "Sienna, Julian wants a little sister. Let’s make his wish come true tonight, okay?"

Sienna glared at him, eyes red at the corners: "Don’t forget, you’re still on probation."

Silas laughed, kissing her forehead: "All the more reason to work a little harder during my probation!"

He brushed a hand along Sienna’s belly, murmuring into her ear: "I need to sow lots of seeds here so Julian’s little sister can stand out—let’s not use protection tonight, okay?"

Sienna smacked him angrily: "Don’t forget our agreement; you already used up next week’s quota."

"Can’t I borrow some in advance?"

"No way."

"What if you come to me on your own?"

"That’s never going to happen."

How could she ever take the initiative? Was she tired of living?

He’d almost worn her out last night.

Just then, Sienna’s phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, she immediately picked up.

Mrs. Nash’s voice came from the other end: "Chloe, this trip you arranged for us is so beautiful—must’ve cost a lot, huh?"

Sienna frowned in confusion.

She hadn’t arranged any trip for her parents; since Silas found her, she hadn’t dared tell them about it, fearing they’d worry.

She didn’t need to guess to know who’d done this.

She smiled, replying, "It’s rare for you to travel abroad—good to take in some sights and experience things."

Mrs. Nash: "It’s been great, just not used to the food here. We’re thinking of coming home tomorrow. Are you alright over there? Silas hasn’t found you, has he?"

Sienna wanted to say, not only had he found her, he’d devoured her completely.

But she didn’t want her parents to worry, so she just smiled lightly: "Mom, if you don’t like it, come home. It’s quite safe here now, Silas won’t bother you."

"Really? Then we’ll come back tomorrow. Once things settle down, we’ll reunite."

After hanging up, Sienna turned to Silas: "You arranged for my parents to go on that trip?"

Silas nodded: "Their daughter saved you at the risk of her own life—they’re my family too now. I bought a plot for Chloe Nash at Golden Leaf Villa. When her parents return, let’s finally let her rest in peace."

This was something Sienna had always wanted to do.

She’d kept putting it off for fear Silas would learn she wasn’t really Chloe Nash.

Now, at last, it was time for Chloe Nash to be laid to rest.

Just as they were talking, Julian Prescott ran over with his little backpack.

He looked up at Sienna: "Mommy, Daddy, are you done kissing? Is my little sister already in Mommy’s tummy? When will she come out? I really want to see her."

Silas patted his head with a smile: "If you want a sister, Daddy has to be like a busy little bee—working hard to sow those seeds. But Mommy isn’t willing to help me out."
