Entangled in the Night: Unable to Escape Him-Chapter 193: To Recover My Memory, I Need Stimulation
Julian, who was seriously drawing, immediately put down his brush when he heard this.
"No way, I made an appointment for Uncle Nathaniel with Aunt Stella, he’ll come over for dinner after work later."
Sienna was a bit curious: "Why did you help Aunt Stella set him up?"
Julian lifted his little face and smiled: "Because I think the two of them are a perfect match."
Caden Sinclair walked over and tapped him on the head: "Are your eyes nearsighted? Next time we go to the hospital, I’ll get someone to check them for you."
"Nope, both my eyes are 5.0, that’s what the doctor at kindergarten said."
"Then your brain must be faulty. What’s so perfect about those two? Nathaniel Thorne is involved in state secrets, and your aunt has a mouth like a megaphone. If she’s with him, she’ll leak his secrets sooner or later and get him arrested as a traitor."
Lucy Rhodes was so mad she kicked Caden: "Julian is so smart, how dare you say there’s something wrong with his brain? You must have a problem yourself! Who I’m with is none of your business. I just think Nathaniel Thorne isn’t only handsome, but he’s also got that upright look, a real man’s man—who wouldn’t like him?"
She had just finished speaking when Mrs. Thorne appeared in the doorway carrying groceries.
With a beaming smile, she said, "You’re smart and adorable. Our Nathaniel will surely like you too. Come on, dear, tell me what you like to eat, Auntie will make it for you."
She took Lucy Rhodes’s hand and led her into the kitchen, her eyes brimming with the fondness a mother-in-law has for her daughter-in-law.
This made Caden Sinclair burn with jealousy.
He shouted after Lucy Rhodes, "Lucy, don’t forget you’re coming to my place tonight!"
Lucy Rhodes was so startled she quickly made a "mute" gesture at him.
This damned guy actually dared embarrass her in front of her idol.
To her, Nathaniel Thorne was both her savior and the person she had admired for the longest time.
During that rescue operation, she saw a soldier risking everything to protect his countrymen, with such gallantry and loyalty.
They truly use their own lives to safeguard the country and its people.
She had the deepest respect for him and would never allow anyone to tarnish those feelings.
Silas Prescott saw the whole thing and a flash of satisfaction appeared in his eyes.
When two tigers fight, one is bound to get hurt. When that happens, no one will be fighting him for Sienna.
He leaned close to Sienna’s ear and whispered, "Sienna, I think Lucy and Captain Thorne are a great match too. Why don’t we help set them up?"
Sienna looked at him with curiosity: "Are you really helping them, or just trying to help yourself?"
Her words hit right to the heart of Silas’s plan, but not a trace of panic appeared on his face.
Instead, he pretended to be clueless: "Why would helping them also help me? All I need in this life is you. Once my memory’s back, we’ll get married and give Julian a bunch of little brothers and sisters."
Upon hearing this, Julian clapped his small hands in excitement: "Yay! Dad, hurry up and recover your memory! I dream of having a little sister every day. The kids at kindergarten all have little sisters—they’re so cute."
Silas did a fighting gesture: "Alright, Daddy’s gonna do his best to get his memory back, marry Mommy, and give you a little sister."
Father and son were in perfect sync, and Sienna was swept along too.
She even started picturing a little girl in her mind.
She shook her head hard and scolded herself inwardly: Sienna, they’re just kids, they can dream as much as they want; but you’re not a kid—you ought to know how tough things are right now.
Sienna didn’t show any emotion, but just smiled and ruffled Silas’s hair: "Then get your memory back soon—everyone’s waiting for you to come back."
Lucy Rhodes leaned over as well: "Exactly! Bro, Damien Prescott and Stella teamed up to kidnap Julian and Sienna—they’ve already been charged and the police took him away. Now Owen Paxton’s in charge, but he’s not a real Prescott. He can be a temporary replacement for a few days, but if this drags on, someone else will definitely come out to fight for power. If you don’t get better soon, you really will lose your spot as president."
Silas’s gaze turned deep as he asked, "When are your parents coming back to the country?"
"They said they’ll come back when they finish dealing with things abroad—probably next month. But a month is a long time; anything can happen. All those old guys at the company can’t wait for you to stay unwell so they can put their own people in charge. Bro, you really need to get better soon."
"What’s going on with Z Group right now?"
"I heard their new phone is selling like crazy. Their valuation already shot past ten billion, and they’ve become a rising star in high-tech. If you don’t get better soon, they might actually surpass Prescott Group. You worked so hard for all of this—you can’t just let them take it over."
Silas’s eyes blazed with determination: "That day will never come."
"Even if they can’t do it, what about Owen Paxton? He’s got the Prescott Family Head’s seal now. Aren’t you worried he might seize power for himself? Bro, guess who I saw last time? I saw that heartless aunt-in-law with Owen Paxton. I suspect she’s using him to take revenge on the Prescott Family."
At this, Silas clenched his fists tightly.
A shadow of uncontrollable emotion flashed across his eyes.
Sienna, seeing how agitated he was, quickly took his hand to comfort him: "Silas, even if things are urgent now, don’t put too much pressure on yourself. I’m worried too much stress could backfire and actually slow your recovery."
Silas looked at Sienna with urgent eyes: "Sienna, you have to help me." 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Sienna looked at him, puzzled: "I’ve always been helping you."
"If I want to get my memory back quickly, I need some stimulation—and only you can give it to me."
"What kind of stimulation do you mean?"
Silas gazed at her intensely: "A kiss."
At this, Sienna immediately protested: "No way, you only have the memory of a ten-year-old. If you’re exposed to this kind of stimulation too early, it’s not good for your mental or physical development. I don’t agree."
"But my body is that of an adult man. Plus, this is the only way. Sienna, for Grandpa, for the Prescotts, you have to help me."
Faced with his pleading and his burning eyes, it was impossible for Sienna not to waver.
She stared at Silas for a long time, then said, "Let me ask Caleb if this method is okay. We can’t just rush into it."
Silas nodded obediently: "Okay, call him right now."
Sienna took her phone and walked into the bedroom. Seeing the door close, Silas nervously squeezed the pen in his hand.
Standing nearby, Caden Sinclair couldn’t help but sneer: "Your fox tail is finally showing. Trying to trick Sienna with this move, Silas, I won’t let you succeed."
Lucy Rhodes angrily smacked him on the head: "Don’t hold up my brother’s recovery—you’re not his doctor. Besides, before my brother lost his memory, he and Sienna were already a couple. Isn’t it only natural for them to be together?"
Caden sneered, "Don’t forget how Sienna ended up with your brother again. If she wasn’t worried about your brother harming the Nash parents, would she have compromised? She’s only back together with him to test him—it doesn’t mean she agreed to marry him. Can you guarantee your brother won’t be obsessed with her like before?"
Lucy Rhodes was struck speechless.
Only later did she learn why Sienna left her brother. After hearing what happened, even she found it hard to believe.
Why did her brother treat Sienna that way? How did Sienna endure him?
If he weren’t her brother, she’d have wanted to advise Sienna to leave him.
But to her brother, Sienna was like a lifeline; he couldn’t live without her before, and now even less so.
A few minutes later, Sienna walked out of the bedroom.
Silas immediately rushed over, grabbing her hand, his eyes tense: "Sienna, what did Caleb say?"
