Entering Apocalypse in Easy-Mode-Chapter 444: Moon God
Chapter 444: Moon God
The wind shifted. An ancient presence filled the air as god Tsukuyomi descended, not with thunder like Susanoo, but with a serene and suffocating stillness. The pressure that followed him was cold, heavy, and silent. But undoubtly strong.
He landed gracefully on the shattered marble, his feet barely making a sound. The soldiers that still alive and havily injured instinctively parted, bowing their heads and trembling as relief and fear mingled in their hearts. ƒгeewebnovёl_com
Tsukuyomi, the Moon god, stood tall with expression he tried to make as composed as posssible.
He was wearing layered robes of woven colors of dark indigo and pale silver that shimmered. Etched across the sleeves and hem were runes of old Celestial characters that glowed in rhythm.
His armor was seamless, elegant and smooth like liquid metal, adorned with concentric lunar sigils.
A long, curved blade rested at his hip. It was his weapon, the Tsukikage or the Shadow of the Moon. Its sheath looked plain but the magical aura leaking from it whispered with restrained power.
His eyes glowed silver-white and without pupils. Those eyes glowing like twin moons in his composed face. His long black hair flowed behind him. Every inch of him radiated ancient power that don’t needed any words to command obedience from whoever lower beings who dare to approach him.
Above his shoulders theres a halo-like ring of lunar energy floated that shifting slowly and humming with dense magical power.
The temperature dropped several degrees as he raised his gaze toward Clyde.
A moment passed.
Clyde met the gaze unflinching, the black mist around him coiling tighter as if eager to strike.
Asqa glanced at Tsukuyomi, then back at Clyde, tension gathering in her stance. Her fingers curled around her wand, her eyes narrowed and focused.
Tsukuyomi said nothing and Clyde didn’t say anything either.
The two ancient beings locked eyes across the broken temple stones. Between them, the air quivered as if feeling a clash of immense pressure and will between them.
Even the surviving soldiers stepped back further.
Asqa’s expression shifted slightly into a flicker of cold anticipation. She turned her head just enough to meet Clyde’s eyes.
He looked back at her. For few seconds it feels as if the world held its breath.
Clyde’s gaze was calm. Asqa’s lips tightened, and her free hand twitched, suppressing a spell that itched to be released.
Between them the quiet aggression can be felt. They understood what the other was thinking and about to do.
Then Tsukuyomi spoke. His voice like ice over still water, quiet yet carrying to every ear.
"You will not take another step."
The moon above darkened.
"I think I will," Clyde replied.
Tsukuyomi gritted his teeth. The perfect composure he wore like armor fractured. His jaw clenched and the faint wrinkle between his brows deepened, a rare crack in the mask of his serenity.
That insolent reply from Clyde daring to speak with such audacity in his domain?
It was not just insult. It was blasphemy.
He already suspected the truth. Susanoo was defeated... or worse. And for Clyde to stand here, to walk unopposed through a realm that should have swallowed any intruder in storms and lightning, meant one thing.
The Harbinger had killed the Storm God.
There was nothing left to say.
"Die," Tsukuyomi hissed.
The moment the word left his lips the lunar halo above him flared into a blazing ring of white and silver. A shockwave pulsed outward as Tsukuyomi launched forward toward Clyde, moving with a suddenness that split the air behind him.
He unsheathed Tsukikage in a single motion. TThe blade singing with a pure high-pitched tone as it drew its full length.
With one sweeping arc, he unleashed a lunar slash, a wide crescent of condensed moonlight energy that howled toward Clyde and Asqa, distorting gravity in its wake. The temple floor split beneath its path.
But Clyde was already moving as well.
With a subtle step, he sidestepped the arc with inhuman grace, his black mist curling around his form like a living shield. He raised his Elderglass blade and with a single swing and met Tsukuyomi head-on.
CLANG!
Their blades clashed.
The sound wasn’t steel on steel, it was like glass shattering in a thunderstorm. Sparks and magical energy exploded outward, sending shockwaves in every direction. The nearby pillars cracked. The marble floor beneath them caved in.
Moonlight and corruption tangled violently.
Clyde’s eyes stayed cold as he pressed forward. The mist around him surged forming tendrils that lashed out toward Tsukuyomi like snakes with fangs of darkness.
But Tsukuyomi twisted midair, his cloak of silver light flaring. With every motion he slash the tendrils down.
He moved like water and light — elegant, fluid, and precise.
But Clyde matched him with his own efficiency as if every blow he struck was already destined to land.
It was like they were two gods fighting.
From the edge of the ruined platform, Asqa watched, her heart pounding. Fire coiled around her wand, ready to join the fray but she knew this duel was not one she could interrupt at any moment.
Not yet.
Tsukuyomi spun and releasing a flurry of rapid slashes that created a dome of light, forcing Clyde to retreat three steps.
The Moon God’s form glowed brighter now. His blade whispering divine power with every cut.
"You should not exist!" Tsukuyomi snarled between attacks, his voice layered with wrath. "You are a sickness! A plague!"
Clyde blocked, parried, then shoved forward with a force that cracked the space around them.
"Haha. I didn’t come to just exist," Clyde answered, his voice low and steady. "I came to end all of you."
Their blades met again. Light and shadow collided. The temple shook.
The soldiers all retreated back. Asqa waited for them to attack her but they just retreating as if knew that whatever they trying to do were meaningless.
Her lips curled up a little when she saw that.
She look back at the battle. That means now she have another job and that is helping Clyde.
