Erotic Adventures in the Omniverse: Vampire Lord got too many wives-Chapter 921: World Devourer
"He was called World Devourer and, despite just staying in his universe, he was able to achieve that level of strength. I was no match for him; just surviving against him seemed like an impossible task," Zendax added hastily.
"Hmmm? Tell me more," the Emperor said, his interest increasing.
"..." Zendax heaved a sigh of relief. He was afraid that he would be killed even before getting a chance to explain anything, but now at least there seemed to be some hope.
He glanced at the two other generals kneeling beside him. Not wanting to reveal anything to them, Zendax asked nervously, "M- My Lord, can I enter and tell it to you directly?"
The two generals raised their eyebrows but remained silent, wondering how the Emperor would react to this request.
"No, stay there; you smell disgusting. You might have lost your body, but I can still sense what loathsome things you have done there.
Allowing you to stay on this mountain— or rather, keeping you alive till now— is already a grace more than you deserve." As the Emperor spoke, an invisible pressure pushed down on Zendax, making cracks appear all over his doll-like body.
"F- Forgive me, my Lord, I have forgotten my p- place. Please give me a chance to tell you e- everything," Zendax said, for a moment truly forgetting how dangerous their Emperor was.
The Second General laughed silently, already thinking of things he would say to taunt him, while the First General's expression remained the same.
"After arriving outside the nameless universe, I too believed that handling it would be very easy— there wasn't even any kind of barrier around that universe.
After all, even the weakest universe keeps some kind of barrier, even if it is just an alarming type. So I raged my army into the universe, challenging all the inhibitors. In return, those insignificant beings gathered their armies and prepared for war with me.
Even the rulers of different races were no match for me; none of them had even acquired one star level, and even their armies weren't as strong. Just when I thought I could easily take control of that universe and present it to you, he appeared.
His strength was unfathomable, and he defeated me before I even knew what had happened.
But he didn't kill me, since that would inform the Topaz universe about my demise, and even stronger foes might come; so he just locked me there, though I managed to get out at some point."
"Oh!!" Zendax paused as he heard the Emperor's surprised voice. He genuinely seemed interested in the story as he spoke: "If there is such a being, then he should already be at the three-star level, or did he even surpass that?"
"Uh... No, he died—" Zendax said, already forming answers in his mind for the questions that might come soon.
"He died? Did you wound him— that doesn't seem to be the case. Then did some other universe attack him?" the Emperor asked, just as expected.
"None of them; he chose to reincarnate. He used his life force and a large amount of energy to create a barrier around his universe that would protect that nameless universe and keep it hidden, and then he was born again as a powerless baby," Zendax explained, wondering if others would believe his story.
"Continue," the Emperor spoke simply.
"Yes, my Lord." Zendax spoke respectfully, then continued: "Since I was heavily wounded, it took a great amount of time to free myself and regain some level of my former strength.
Then I took control of that universe and became one of the guardians there, wholly controlling the other five guardians. Instead of returning, I decided to search for the core power of that universe, and I almost succeeded. But then—"
Zendax gritted his wooden teeth as he remembered the humiliation Jayden had made him go through before adding:
"The reincarnation of the World Devourer, who was in possession of the core power, fought against me.
He was strong but nowhere near as strong as the World Devourer, but after sacrificing his body and soul, he managed to destroy my body— yet I managed to escape in this form." Zendax finished his story nervously, hoping not to be punished.
"So you have at least managed to remove the top powers of the nameless universe; now there is no Emperor or guardians, but only weak lambs." The Emperor paused, thinking to himself.

"Even though you have failed your mission, you succeeded in eliminating such a formidable opponent, so you won't receive any punishment. And as a reward, you'll be given a body— of course, it would be nowhere near as strong as your previous strength, but that's mercy enough for you," the Emperor declared.
"T- Thank you, Emperor; I'll do my duty to the best of my abilities in the future. I won't disappoint you again," Zendax spoke gratefully; the outcome was better than he expected.
"Second, help him restore his body, then go and capture that nameless universe. With your strength, you won't have any problem in doing so." Soon, the Emperor's voice became distant; he had started to rest.
"Yes, my Lord," the Second General spoke, silently clicking his tongue— he really hoped for Zendax to suffer.
"Finish your task with urgency; I have some matters to discuss with the guardians, so I will be leaving first." As the First General spoke, his jade-like body disappeared.
"Let's go," the Second General said and flew away, dragging Zendax along.
Restoring his body to what it was before wasn't difficult, and just after a couple of days, he looked exactly the same as before.
'My strength is even lower than when I fought Jayden; it is going to take quite some time to reach one-star level once again,' Zendax sighed to himself, but felt relieved to be alive.
"Can I come along with you?" Zendax asked the Second General, who had just finished his preparations and was getting a large army ready.
"Hmm, why should I bring you?" the Second General asked, his distorted face looking very strange.
"I want to see the demise of that universe with my own eyes; I hate everything about it. I want to slaughter everyone— especially his family— for what he had done to me— " Zendax paused, restraining himself from spouting too much, and waited for a response.
"Alright, you can tag along; just don't mess with my mission, or I'll make you regret it," he replied.
"Yes, I understand, but what's the point of bringing such a large army? Just you alone would be enough to defeat each and every person there," Zendax questioned, eyeing all the creatures that stood on the ground or floated in the air.
"I'm too lazy; it would be better if they just submit without a fight. Let's leave— it's time."
And so, the large army set out from the Topaz universe, heading to conquer the nameless universe.
At this point, a little more than two and a half years had passed since Jayden's death; Zendax needed a lot of time to travel back, but the large army's speed was exponentially high as they flew to wage a war. They would arrive there in at most two to three months.
