Chapter 63: Other Classes

Class-A

Adela sat in the middle of the class, a playful smile on her lips. Their class teacher; Instructor Rutherford, finished explaining the information about the Special Evaluation, then left the class.

Murmurs and little conversations sprang up for a while, before everyone ultimately went silent.

Something was wrong—Adela wasn’t speaking. As the Class Leader she was supposed to have spoken up immediately, but she had remained silent till now. Heads turned, and they all looked at her.

Seeing the looks in their eyes, she covered her lower face with her fan.

"Fufufufu~ You all finally remembered me? How touching~"

A chill ran down their spine, and some involuntarily gulped. Although Adela looked small and pretty, they feared her a lot.

"Well then, what do you all need? Strategies? There’s no need for something so boring. Instead, it should be as interesting as possible."

"Arara~ Don’t be scared. I understand your worries. We must keep our position as Class-A, right?"

Giggling, she turned to another girl who had her head down at the corner of the classroom.

"Mina, why don’t you use your strategic mind to bring our class to victory? If you can do this, I might even relinquish the position of the Class Representative to you." 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

Tamara’s eyes widened, just like the other students in the class. They were shocked by such a proposal! During the first week, Adela had thoroughly destroyed any competitive will in Mina, who was also gunning for the position of the Class Representative.

Why would she suddenly want to relinquish the position?

Standing by the door side, Gaga narrowed his eyes. Black hair and gold eyes, he had the air of a lofty royal around him.

"Adela... what are you insinuating?"

He had no doubt that there was something strange about her proposal.

Adela tilted her head cutely. "Eh? Is anything wrong with what I said?"

Gaga shook his head, his gold eyes bearing down on her. "Is that so? I’ll see to you keeping your word when the time comes."

Although he had no interest in the position himself, he was one of those strong and confident enough to challenge Adela.

"Do not worry, Gaga. I will always keep my word."

...

Class-B

Iruca stood before the whole class, her expression filled with seriousness. Honestly, the expression didn’t quite suit her. Instead, she looked more normal with her pure smile.

"Everyone!" She clasped her hands. "Our Instructor has already informed us about all we need to know, and this is an opportunity for us to seize!"

"Class-A’s rank points are just thirty more than ours. If we can take the first place from them, then we can surely become the next Class-A!"

"Hwaiting!" Rita cheered from her seat, her eyes blazing with energy.

Iruca’s face softened slightly, and she smiled a bit.

"We all need to be united in this evaluation. Only by becoming Class-A and graduating together can we all be victorious."

Smiles bloomed on the faces of her mates, a sense of unity among them. This class could be said to be the most united class, full of individuals with easygoing personalities and like minded people.

"Alright!" Ashley stood up with a grin. "Then we should begin training together as soon as possible!"

Iruca nodded. "I’ll draw up a comfortable schedule for everyone. If there’s any objection, you’re free to let me know."

The whole class immediately agreed, and the Special Evaluation discussion was finalized.

Like a single flame torch, Class-B’s fighting spirit burnt brightly.

...

Class-C

Unlike the other classes where a single individual addressed everyone, this class was quite special.

Austin; Class-C’s leader, had divided them into six groups, and asked everyone to come up with their own ideas.

’I believe... that when we link minds, the best idea and plan to win is birthed.’

Seated at his seat, he was surrounded by four other students.

"Ava, what do you think? Your parents work in a guild right?"

Someone asked the girl on his left. In response, the brown-haired bespectacled girl said

"You’re right. Closing a Nirad Gate is a bit tricky than we think."

She adjusted her glasses, then opened her book. She quickly sketched a diagram, allowing the five if them to see.

"Dungeons are naturally nests. Most times, they are caves, but on rare occasions, they might be in an open space or clearing."

Seeing them nod, she continued.

"Dungeons are formed from high density of essence in the air, which would coalesce into a pearl of pure essence capable of creating a gate to connect two worlds. Unlike a Nexus which is artificial and created by the Nirad System, Nirad Gates are pure. This allows Nirad Creatures to freely move and invade our world."

"Wait a minute." Thomas interrupted, an expression of understanding on his face. "So the main thing is to get rid of the pearl?"

Austin nodded. "That pearl serves as the energy source of the gate connecting Earth with the Nirad Realm. As long as we destroy it, consider the Special Evaluation completed."

"Good. That means our main goal should be finding the pearl, right?"

....

Class-D

"The pearl is the most important."

Alexander stated, his face etched with seriousness. Just like Class-C, they had arrived at the conclusion that completing the evaluation meant destroying the pearl.

"Fools, do you think that’s an easy cheat?" Apollo snickered, peering down from atop the table he sat.

He rested his elbows on his thighs, leaning forward.

"The pearl would be heavily guarded by those Nirad Creatures in the nest. Do not think it’s going to be an easy fight. I won’t tolerate any hint of complacency."

His sneer slowly vanished, and a dangerous expression colored his face. Those who had been pummeled by him in the past shivered, feeling an echo of pain on their bodies.

"Very good!" He stood up, his shoes planted firmly on a chair.

"I can see that you all understand me now. In this evaluation, our goal is to kill as many creatures as possible, and simultaneously destroy the pearl."

At her seat, Maya muttered quietly. "Killing two birds with one stone?"

Apollo turned to her, a grin on his face. "You’re so right! Two birds with one stone!"
