Published for 36 days, with over 180,000 words in public Chapters, these numbers are fairly average, just moderate and balanced.

However, Qingyun’s mood is far from balanced—there are so many, many things to say.

First: Some readers mistakenly believed I was one of those authors at Qidian involved with eternal life and Xianxia who often abandon their stories, resulting in some readers being completely afraid to follow this book.

Except for some clumsy works with limited word count written in 2008 and 2009 when Qingyun was in college at Qidian, which had average results, after graduating, Qingyun has been writing at other platforms, never daring to return to Qidian due to feeling inadequate and fearing failure.

This time, opening this eternal life coupled with mortal flow book was suggested by editor Binggan, and I ventured cautiously. So far, the results are passable. I want to thank Binggan, and of course, thanks to editor Yexiao for tirelessly recommending the book. Thank you for your hard work.

Qingyun has been writing on other platforms for ten years, with many works, which I won’t detail here, but I can guarantee that almost all of them are completed. You can understand that if Qingyun kept abandoning stories, there would be no way to survive as a full-time writer for ten years.

So, readers who worry about this book being abruptly stopped can be assured.

Second: The transition of the book from Martial Dao to cultivation has been planned from the beginning, which is evident from the title, indicating an eternal life flow. Readers should have realized from the early Chapters that continuing with that writing style for more than 200,000 to 300,000 words would be dull, and difficult for Qingyun to write.

This is something Qingyun observed: Many eternal life novels at Qidian have collapsed and couldn’t continue.

Therefore, it’s necessary to transition to an upgrade system.

This transition is something that peers at Qidian’s similar genres have been trying, and Qingyun believes this is the best approach after careful consideration.

Coincidentally, the ordinary people’s Spirit Root system is recently very popular at Qidian, so Qingyun decided to use this system, but also introduce some of my own innovations. Readers, please trust me on this point.

As for the feedback from many readers who said that Qi Cultivation is too slow, if it’s this slow, then how long will Foundation Establishment and Golden Core take?

After all, writing a book is a long process of laying groundwork, building tension, and creating ups and downs. If it’s always bland, or if it starts too genius-like, some readers might not like it. Many things may not seem appealing initially, but when everything becomes clear, it might be stunning.

What Qingyun can do is to write the work well and try to appeal to all readers.

Additionally, I’d like to add that Qingyun values logic in writing very much. Almost every Chapter is carefully considered, making sure it aligns with the previous and following text, and I will repeatedly review the finished work.

For example, many mention that the protagonist is a Martial Arts Genius, but why is Qi Cultivation at the Early Stage so slow? Actually, readers should think about it—didn’t Martial Dao itself take many years, even decades, to gradually become invincible?

It’s often said that the protagonist is a genius, but actually, it’s not. The talent in Essence Qi allows him to rival a Martial Arts Genius. After all, Martial Dao is about tapping into one’s own potential.

But cultivation is not. In this book, the cultivation system is far higher than Martial Dao, so taking decades to overcome the cultivation bottleneck is logically consistent with the breakthrough from pinnacle to Grandmaster, although it doesn’t fit the logic of a genius, which some readers dislike.

However, the following Chapters will align with the logic of a genius, breaking past the so-called waste spirit barriers.
