Evolving My Mythic Legion With A Legendary Skill-Chapter 82: Loyalty
Neil lunged forward, black veins bulging all over his body.
It was like a beast or a monster inside him wanted to tear apart his human skin and come out, to hunt that thing.
Neil controlled this demon, his speed increasing as he caught up with the severely injured Bogu.
Spinning over one leg, he kicked the back of the blades, plunging them even deeper.
KRRRAAAAAAAAAA!
Another terrifying scream rang out as the Bogu began to sway side to side, its body slowing down greatly.
But suddenly its face turned in Neil’s direction.
"Oh no, master, it seems this Bogu has sensed that its life is close to an end, it probably wants to bring you down itself." Nemo said hurriedly.
Even if this creature didn’t possess offensive skills, the final attempt at life could make even a tiny ant bite.
Neil didn’t pause, he jumped high creating a plate of solid fluid in the air to make him reach higher.
Unfortunately for the Bogu, it couldn’t jump.
As Neil’s body started to fall, he released a beastial roar.
Kicking with all his might at the two blades, while the Bogu tried to use all its kinetic energy and bump into Neil.
THUMP
As Neil’s feet struck the handles, the blades finally managed to pierce through its skull, coming out from the back of its head.
[You have killed a 2nd Origin Diamond Class Bogu!]
Instantly, the Bogu was dead, but even after its death, the momentum of the Bogu’s body continued.
It rammed straight into Neil’s body, almost like a car hitting an ordinary person at full speed.
BANG
With a violent crack, his body was thrown away.
He was dragged at least a few hundred metres before coming to a stop, if Neil had not taken nearly 40 percent of its speed.
Then the strike would not have been fatal, and might have killed him.
COUGH COUGH
Black blood came out as Neil coughed violently several times, his whole body covered in burns.
His right arm was broken too and even more ribs, damage extending to internal organs.
There were probably more injuries, and his clothes were completely gone.
Thankfully he protected his hair with Aquamorph or he might have turned bald, though the last bit of energy was not enough to protect his entire body.
Lying in the lava, he groaned lightly. Despite suffering pain all that time, it never became easy.
Then pushing himself up, he swayed and somehow rose to his feet.
His cores were almost empty, and a great deal of stamina depleted.
The fight had lasted nearly more than five minutes, yet his condition was so bad.
A real battle is very different.
If not for his recent training, his condition would have been even worse.
Cinthia had even taught him how to take the least amount of damage in various situations.
"Huff, I- I won, COUGH" Neil could barely stay on his feet, there seemed to be several injuries in his feet too.
Who cared about these injuries, it was just momentary pain, the main thing was he was the one left standing and not his opponent.
Gazing at all the dead Bogus in the distance and then at the Diamond one, he thought for a moment and decided to take its corpse.
He even took the corpse of the Gold Class Bogu.
It would be helpful with the Nest later.
After this was done, he dragged his battered form, limping towards the cold side.
But he found it strange, during the entirety of the battle there wasn’t any other creature around.
None from the Phantom Planet or any of the centipedes.
’I guess I can worry about that later, I should get healed first.
Thankfully I don’t have to collect the loot like before.’
Neil slowly walked away, he could calculate his gains later, for now he could barely keep himself up.
Right after getting to the cold side, he finally felt the burning feeling disappear.
His feet were badly burnt, pulling out a set of clothes he put them on and then continued towards his domain.
"Master, Jet and others are on their way here, they can bring you to the domain."
Nemo spoke, she had already given the orders.
Neil nodded and fell back into the snow, it felt nice against his badly bruised body.
The situation wasn’t bad enough that he would lose consciousness.
Soon, the cloud vultures arrived.
Neil sat up and grabbed the feet of one, as it flew up slowly, bringing him up.
While another flew beneath Neil, giving him a stable foothold.
Their size was not yet big enough that he could ride the vultures, but they were certainly great to have in his domain.
’Just now I sensed a repulsive feeling, almost as if it was a Link.’
Neil thought, so there really was a Link on the lava side.
That Link must have been very close by, maybe even underground. That was probably why Neil’s skill activation didn’t fail once.
He had almost forgotten about that and only now noticed it.
But Neil was not sure if it was there any longer as it might be the Link of the Bogus and since he killed them all, it might close automatically.
Previously there were so many Links and when he needed one, it got so difficult to find one.
He decided to go check it out later on.
"Wait, didn’t I find some other way of getting the domain cores?" Neil mumbled, thinking hard.
He was sure when he had killed those bunch of intruders, he made a small discovery.
Yet he couldn’t remember it now, it made him frown, making him feel as if this place was playing with his brain.
No wonder, no one had ever managed to escape this place.
They arrived in the domain but it was covered in snow from all sides except the top.
They brought him towards the entrance.
"Lord!" Bob, who was doing a regular check of the wall and other things, saw Neil and exclaimed in shock and horror.
His condition seemed really bad, skin burnt and so much blood.
He ran forward trying to support Neil but couldn’t do much because of his short height.
"Leon! Ileana! Ray!" he shouted hurriedly as Neil limped into the domain.
Leon was the first to arrive and finally he supported Neil, helping him walk towards the healing hut.
"Lord, you should have allowed me to join." Leon was a silent guy otherwise, but was very responsible and dependable.
Rolling his eyes, Neil laughed lightly and spoke, "With your current strength, you wouldn’t HAA have been of much h- help anyway."
"I am ashamed to let you get injured to this degree, it is my duty to fight for our home and protect it too, please let me join you in all your future battles.
It is better to be dead than letting our lord suffer." Leon spoke, his words surprising Neil.
This guy was like a true knight with principles.
"Oh uh... okay." Neil was quite impressed, Leon was really the best commander he could have found.
Ray, Fay, and Ileana too finally arrived, the siblings were about to prepare food for the troops while the healer was testing out her abilities.
"Hubby...!" Ileana froze for a moment, her heart almost stopping at this sight, pain filling her chest.
Then she rushed forward.
