Exclusive Love: Pampered by the Scheming Tycoon-Chapter 191: He has a crush on her
Chapter 191: Chapter 191: He has a crush on her
Everyone thought she had such a peculiar personality. She was already at this age and still hadn’t gotten married or had children. But Banxia admired her. She had carved out a style of life she desired, living a way completely different from others—so free, so comfortable, like the spring breeze, even her heart seemed utterly unrestrained.
Thinking about seeing this extraordinary woman again, Banxia quickened her pace.
When she arrived at the airport, there was a large crowd.
Banxia squeezed herself among the crowd, waiting.
From afar, she spotted Huo Ning. She was dressed in a casual long dress, her long, slightly messy curls making her stand out distinctively amidst the people around her.
Banxia felt an immediate sense of closeness when she saw her. In her past life, everyone else thought her marriage into the Huo Family was such a grand and fortunate event. But only Huo Ning kept urging her to divorce. Even when she was abroad and they only spoke on rare occasions, Huo Ning still encouraged her to leave the marriage, to live the life she truly wanted, to love a man truly worthy of her affection.
Huo Ning had filled so many emotional voids for her. So when Banxia saw her walking toward her, she couldn’t help but feel her eyes well up.
With her vision misty with tears, Banxia pressed further into the crowd, wanting to rush over to greet her.
Suddenly...
It seemed she bumped into someone, and there was an odd sound by her ear.
It sounded as if something had fallen to the ground along with her collision.
Banxia froze, her tear-filled eyes fixating on the phone she had just knocked out of someone’s hand.
Oh no. She had actually broken someone’s phone.
Panic-stricken, Banxia wanted to apologize. When she raised her head, she was met with a familiar yet unfamiliar pair of phoenix eyes.
Those narrow, profound, and enigmatic eyes made Banxia’s own widen in shock.
"Leng Weichen..." she whispered the name of the man who had once appeared in her life.
"Do we know each other?" The man’s voice, deep with undertones, sounded as he spoke. His phoenix eyes gazed at her, growing even more unfathomable.
Hearing him speak, Banxia snapped out of her daze like she had been jolted awake. She quickly shook her head vigorously. "No, no, no, we don’t know each other. I think I might have just seen you in a magazine. You’re so handsome—it’d be hard for anyone not to remember you."
Banxia rattled off her explanation all at once. She didn’t even know why she was saying so much. He probably didn’t care anyway.
Maybe it was guilt!
Because, in her past life, she had received the roses he sent her. It was on the night before he left. Tucked in with the roses was a small note, written in English: *I want to be your sunshine. Would you be my angel?*
Even as slow-witted as she was, Banxia could figure out what he meant. But back then, her brain must’ve been caught in a door—she was so single-mindedly focused on salvaging her failed marriage.
Who would’ve thought, in this life, she’d run into this man again? And... why did this situation feel so familiar?
It was just like their meeting in her past life. Though the location wasn’t at the airport but the front entrance of the Huo Family’s company, she had been in a hurry and accidentally knocked his phone to the ground, cracking the screen.
The scenes of her past life suddenly replayed in her mind, leaving Banxia in a daze for a long time.
The man had already walked over and picked up his phone from the ground.
"Let me see!" Banxia hurried to his side, her lips moving in a flurry. "I’m really sorry. I’ll compensate you. I swear I didn’t mean to."
"It’s fine," the man replied indifferently. His phoenix eyes glanced at her face again, noticing her still-reddened eyes.
