Extra And MC-Chapter 144 - 140 - School Trip Experiences (Touring Aquilith Haven)
A few minutes later, after arguing with their respective partners, the ladies’ pleas had finally gotten through to both youths and they had only decided to buy all the outfits the ladies had tried on.
Even with that though, Aiden and Flynn still kept grumbling like little kids for a few seconds even after they had come to that decision.
Caroline and Ivelia, truth be told, found the entire scenario very amusing despite the sighs of resignations escaping their lips.
Having bought everything, ensuring it was properly and well-packaged, the two couples finally began to leave the high-end boutique of the luxurious shopping mall.
"Thank you for shopping with us! We hope to see you again soon!" all four ladies who had attended to the couples cheerfully thanked them as they left.
The amount they had spent alone had covered their quotas for the entire week and getting a huge bonus was something they were genuinely looking forward too.
Stopping at some of the other inviting stores present in the massive shopping complex whilst buying a few more ’trivial’ things, the two couples then finally decided to leave the shopping mall.
Considering they were basically free for the rest of the week, all the members of Team X had decided to make the absolute most of the remaining days of their school trip at Flenor Islands.
Stepping out of the automatic glass doors that led to Aquilith Haven’s extremely busy and crowded streets full of people and moving vehicles, Caroline had been the first to speak.
"Haa~. As much as I love the ambience of a shopping complex, nature’s fresh air is still the best" the ruby-eyed lady lazily stretched with a happy smile on her lips.
"I completely agree" Ivelia responded to her close friend with a very relaxed expression on her features.
"Hmm… Now that we’ve ticked off the shopping mall, where to next?" Aiden had asked instead while staring at the guide book in his hands along with a foldable map.
"Well, Ivelia and I wanted to visit Bright-Fair Park but you guys want to check out the Spring-Bloom Fountain, right?" Flynn had replied, gently collecting the map from his brother and unfolding it.
As this was happening, the ladies then gathered around both youths, checking out the map and wondering if their paths were aligned.
"Aww… I guess here’s where we part ways" Caroline pouted the moment it became obvious that they would be taking different paths.
"Guess we’ll all meet each other at the Faerie-Flair Restaurant later today then" Ivelia hugged Caroline who was still pouting while gently patting her back.
Flynn and Aiden also gave each other a chill greeting that had pretty much invented way before they came to this world after also realizing they were headed different ways.
Just as this happened, all four youths felt their smartwatches vibrate.
Swiftly switching it on to check the sudden message that had been sent to their dorm’s created group, all four youths really couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
In the picture that was sent to them, Adrian, Beatrice and Bryan all donned cool black glasses on their faces along with genuinely mischievous smiles and grins while exiting the Sphinx’s Casino.
The photo was also then captioned; #Casino Successfully Raided .
Beatrice especially seemed to have been the main culprit, further made obvious due to a short video Bryan posted of the casino workers profusely begging her to leave their slot machines alone.
’Just how busted was their good luck that the workers had to resort to doing that…’ Flynn couldn’t help but wonder.
After a few more seconds of checking the picture and short video, the two couples soon departed and went their separate ways.
As Aiden was twirling the keys of the motorcycle in his hands, his partner walking just behind, he suddenly heard her give a small, almost inaudible gasp.
"What’s wrong?" he quickly asked her, a wave of concern settling on his features.
"Apparently, they’re closing the Fountain down in the next twenty minutes or so to do some reconstruction of sorts. And from the looks of it, they might not be done with it until next week" Caroline explained shortly, a small look of disappointment on her face.
’That’s odd…’ Aiden thought to himself but almost immediately, he retrieved two helmets from his spatial ring and immediately spoke.
"Well then, I hope you like thrill rides Mademoiselle Caroline" the black-haired youth grinned at the lady while tossing over the helmet to her.
Catching it with a pretty surprised expression on her features, Caroline soon realized what he meant and with an excited smile, she also replied.
"Most certainly Monsieur Aiden. I love thrill rides!"
In an instant, they both zoomed off as Caroline tightly clutched onto Aiden who was totally intent on reaching the Spring-Bloom Fountain before they closed for the day.
The rumors surrounding the fountain, although straining credulity like most rumors about things like this did, was a popular tourist attraction known for ensuring that a couple would stay together for eternity.
See, straining credulity obviously.
But even then, whether true or not, people would still love to get the chance to see the fountain just for how beautiful its architecture was regardless of its ’supposed effect’.
Flynn and Ivelia on the other hand who had come with a fairly normal and rented four-seater car by this world’s standards, soon found themselves nearing the Bright-Fair Park a few minutes later.
Just before they could make the turning that would then lead into the street of the park though, they soon spotted a certain orange-haired youth trying to help a cat get down from a tree.
Just below said tree, was a very old grandma and her female grandchild, along with Maya calling out for Ivar to tread carefully and ensure not to fall off the tree’s branches.
Finally getting ahold of the cat which had pure-white fur, Ivar gently jumped down from the tree and presented it to the grandma and the grandchild, both of whom were really grateful for the help.
Although Ivar could’ve easily retrieved the cat with a spell or his nano-band, he didn’t want to spook the cat, hence his normal traditional approach.
Eventually bidding the grandma and grandchild farewell, Maya and Ivar soon spotted Flynn and Ivelia who had already parked by and had watched the entire thing play out.
"Hey guys! I’d never expected to run into you both here until we met at the restaurant" Ivar had warmly greeted them with a smile to which they had reciprocated.
"I hope your group quest went well Maya?" Ivelia soon asked the petite yet beautiful black-haired lady who then promptly replied with a happy smile of her own.
"Yes. It did. Although we did have a few hiccups along the way, our group still managed to clinch B+ grade"
"That’s nice. I’m happy for you" Ivelia held the lady’s hands in hers as they beamed at each other happily.
Flynn on the other hand, angled his gaze upwards to stare at the magnificent building Ivar and Maya had presumably come out of a few minutes ago before then speaking to Ivar.
"The ’Wayback Museum of Science & Technology’ huh… What other genius ideas are you cooking in that mind of yours this time Ivar?" he asked with an amused smile.
The source of this c𝓸ntent is frёeweɓηovel.coɱ.
"At times I wonder if you’re just trolling me with your questions. In fact, I should be the one asking you those types of questions" Ivar slightly squinted at the youth in reply instead before he then properly answered.
"I actually have nothing planned. Coming to the Museum was, in fact, Maya’s idea. She said she was quite curious about old techs used in the past. Like those flip-phones and small TVs…"
"Seriously, I find it hard to believe things like that were actually used in the past even now that I’ve seen it with my own eyes. So intriguing…" the orange-haired youth couldn’t help but state out loud with a thoughtful expression.
Flynn just shook his head in resignation at Ivar’s words, a bit unsure as to how to really feel about the whole thing considering he previously lived in a world where that was all he and Aiden could manage.
Almost immediately though, Flynn soon questioned again, brushing aside his previous thoughts.
"So a date hmm?" the youth arched an eyebrow in curiosity.
"Yes" Ivar truthfully responded after which he then added.
"I was actually planning to bring her over to the park once we were done here as I’d originally planned before we both ran into the lovely grandma and her sweet little grandchild…"
"Well, we’re headed there too so if it’s fine with you, there’s still space left in the car" Flynn gestured to the backseats of the rented car he was leaning on.
"We’d love that" Ivar replied appreciatively and soon, all four youths found themselves at the park in about five minutes later.
There wasn’t really much to see at the park though asides from its lively atmosphere as it was very similar to standard parks on earth, the only major standout being the ancient canopy-like trees, similar to those present in the Whispering Grove.
So the four youths just enjoyed the ambience and casually discussed about many other trivial things.
About thirty minutes later after that, they were all already at the Faerie-Flair Restaurant which they had all previously agreed upon to meet later today.
Already spotting Lucas and Amelia who had been the first to arrive waving over to them, all four youths casually also made their way over.
As if in line with their appearance though, the rest of the other youths soon arrived too; the trio of Adrian, Beatrice and Bryan, along with Aiden and Caroline too.
Instantly, the large round table they were all sitting at soon became very lively as Adrian and Beatrice began to narrate how the entire casino incident had played out while the others ordered for food using the menus provided to them.
All in all, properly getting the chance to explore Aquilith Haven for the entire day had been a very memorable experience for all the youths.
Later in the evening though that day, Flynn, after freshening up, found himself at the veranda of the hotel.
Seeing his brother already leaning over the balcony as the cool evening air gently ruffled his hair, Flynn walked over to him in a relaxed manner while calling out gently.
"Hey bro"
"Yo!" Aiden responded while still gazing over at the gently crashing waves of the cerulean blue sea.
Quietly leaning over the balcony, Aiden gently patted his brother’s back the moment he also gently leaned over on the railings like he was.
-Sigh...
"I really hope that The Railgun isn’t created this time" Flynn soon spoke up after a short while with a hopeful sigh.
"Me too little brother. Me too…" Aiden replied with a hopeful gaze too, knowing fully well that if the weapon of mass destruction was created, it was something that would be far beyond anything they could both possibly either handle or easily stop.
