Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 139: Lady Seraphina of the Lake (2)
Just before the end of the session, Kaiser’s hand rose one last time.
"Professor, that pendant you’re wearing, does it serve as an auxiliary mana reservoir?"
Seraphina brushed the bluish gem with an almost unconscious gesture.
"No, and its use is not related to the course."
"It is of great elegance," Kaiser commented, letting his gaze linger on it. "Its shade seems to reflect exactly that of your eyes."
A brief but heavy silence settled in the room. Seraphina stared at him, her marble face betraying no emotion.
"Even though I can see your mediocrity in terms of mana talent... Your attention," she finally said in a low but cutting voice, "would be better invested in the principles of channeling than in clothing accessories. Please focus on the course."
’Oh... She’s the virulent type...’ Kaiser noted through each of her responses, especially because he was devoid of mana.
Shortly after the end of the session. The students began to pack up their things, the buzz of conversations gradually resuming. While the class emptied through the large door, Seraphina remained motionless on the platform.
She methodically gathered her parchment notes, then took her ash staff engraved with complex runes, seemingly ignoring the last glance Kaiser threw her before leaving.

The next day, Kaiser returned to the elementary magic class. He entered through the back entrance and went to take the same isolated seat he had occupied the day before. The students gradually flowed in, filling the tiers with muffled chatter. Then, when Lady Seraphina appeared on the raised platform, the conversations died out almost immediately, giving way to silence.
Her appearance was identical to the first time: the long black hooded cape thrown back, the strict laced corset accentuating her chest, and her braid carelessly draped over her right shoulder. Her gaze swept the audience in one motion.
Then she placed her grimoire on the lectern and dove straight into the heart of the subject, without the slightest formality.
"Today, we will cover the fundamental interactions between the elements and their respective counter-elements. Each primordial force possesses one or more natural opposites, whose function is to limit, or even nullify, its effects."
She paused, letting her words resonate in the silence.
"The mastery of these relationships is not mere theory. Understanding these principles will allow you to anticipate an opponent’s weaknesses and, consequently, strengthen the defense of your own incantations. A mage who ignores these principles is a mage whose career will be as brief as it is tragic."
During the first ten minutes of the class, Kaiser listened to her, his eyes never leaving her breasts that undulated. Then, he slowly raised his hand.
"Professor, a clarification, please. Can pure, unaltered mana be considered an element in its own right?"
Seraphina turned her head toward him with an annoyed expression.
"No," she replied. "That point was explained yesterday. What are these idiotic questions?"
Kaiser nodded. "Of course. Sorry. In that case, I wonder: if one proceeds to mix pure mana with already altered demonic or Arcane mana through an elemental affinity, could that generate a new type of mana?"
A slight tic twitched at the corner of Seraphina’s lips. "No. Just... Shut up for the rest of the class."
He inclined his head again, a semblance of a smile on his lips. "Thank you. Things are clearer."
Later, as she had just spun a tiny sparkling frost tornado on the lectern, a demonstration of a controlled fusion between Air and Ice flows, Kaiser’s hand rose again.
"I believe I told you to-." before she could finish.
"Regarding the physical limitations of the channeler. The mana heart, once it has suffered a partial rupture due to overexertion, does it possess a regeneration capacity?"
This time, Seraphina closed her eyes, taking a deep and silent breath before fixing him again.
"I simply wanted to make sure my understanding was accurate," he replied with a mocking smile.
A heavy silence fell over the room. The students held their breath, eyes wide. Was this student testing the limits of this cold professor?
Suddenly, the sharp sound of Seraphina’s staff violently striking the lectern tore through the calm.
"That is enough!"
Her voice, usually calm, had risen a tone.
"You, the human, in the last row. For two days, you have cluttered this class with redundant questions whose answers have all been given. Two hypotheses present themselves to me: either you suffer from a severe intellectual deficiency, or you are acting with deliberate intent to disrupt my teaching. In both cases, my patience has reached its limits."
She planted her icy gaze into his.
"So, enlighten me once and for all: what plausible reason can lead a human manifestly devoid of the slightest spark of mana to persist in an advanced elementary magic class?"
Kaiser did not flinch. He simply straightened slightly in his seat, crossing his hands in front of him. When he answered, his voice was perfectly calm.
"My motivation is pragmatic, Professor. I am a warrior. Understanding the mechanisms, forces, and flaws of elementary magic allows me to better anticipate the tactics of a mage opponent, and therefore to better fight them if circumstances require it."
He paused, his smile widening imperceptibly.
"And then, who knows? Perhaps by exposing myself to this knowledge, an elemental spirit, out of whim or curiosity, will deign to set its sights on me and offer me a pact. After all," he concluded with feigned nonchalance, "does the impossible not deserve to be given a chance?"
A cold and deeply mocking rictus stretched Seraphina’s pink lips, revealing the gleam of her teeth. The remark was so ridiculous that she did not even want to answer it; not only could only elves contract with a spirit, but it was at fifteen years old, making it doubly impossible.
"A human without mana hoping to attract an elemental spirit? You have more chance of seeing a troll take up knitting."
Seraphina’s cutting remark triggered a few stifled laughs among the students, which were immediately silenced when her cold gaze swept the audience. An immediate silence fell again.
"Enough. I resume."
She continued her lesson on elemental affinities, but her voice, now slightly strained, showed her irritation. Her gestures, previously fluid, became stiffer.
When the class ended, the students rose hurriedly and headed for the exit. Kaiser, for his part, remained seated until the room emptied. He then stood up and slowly descended the central aisle to the platform.
Seraphina was putting away her parchments in her grimoire, ostentatiously refusing to look up.
"If you have come to ask more stupid questions, spare us both and leave," she threw out, her voice as cold as ice.
Kaiser stopped two steps from her, hands plunged in his pockets.
"No question this time. I just wanted to... chat a little."
