Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 245: You’re Just Gay, Aren’t You!?
After about thirty minutes, the fight finally ended, or rather, the massacre.
The sand was blackened by blood. Shredded bodies littered the ground. The smell was heavy, almost suffocating.
Seeing that they could no longer resist, the desert dogs finally retreated. The survivors withdrew growling, dragging their wounds, disappearing behind the dunes.
Silence gradually fell again, leaving the four of them there admiring the carnage they had just caused.
The sun was slowly setting on the horizon. With it, the temperature dropped quickly. The stifling heat of the day gave way to the cold.
"We should make a fire..." Nox suggested while looking at the sky.
"You should rather go clean yourself up, it’s impossible to stink that much!" Julian declared, pinching the bridge of his nose.
He wasn’t exaggerating.
Nox was in a pitiful state. Black blood was drying on his face, his arms, his clothes. Pieces of flesh were still stuck to his claws. The smell was unbearable.
The adrenaline rush had its side effects; now he looked much more like one of those mutts than anything else.
Nox lowered his eyes to contemplate his own body.
"I suppose I’ll go take a bath then," he sighed.
"Because if we hadn’t told you, you were really going to stay like that?" Jasper added while putting an arrow back in his quiver.
Deep down, he didn’t care, or rather he didn’t give a fuck, as long as Nox slept far away from him because right now, Nox was ruining the scenery.
Fortunately for them, there was an oasis not far away. It was probably because of it that they had encountered the creatures. They likely came there to drink.
While Nox went to wash, Kaiser and Julian went to gather wood. Jasper, for his part, inspected the surroundings in search of a safe place to spend the night.
They didn’t take long to get organized.
In terms of cohesion, their team worked well.
Jasper found a small cave a few hundred meters from the pond. The entrance was narrow, but the interior widened enough to accommodate the four men.
The cave seemed abandoned. The floor was covered with a thin layer of dust. A few bleached bones lay in a corner, probably left by some former beast. The walls were irregular, streaked by time. The ceiling was high enough to stand without difficulty.
A simple and acceptable place for the night.
When Nox returned, his hair was still damp. He had removed his soiled clothes and roughly rinsed them. His skin was clean; the old scratches had already healed.
"You’re presentable now," Julian commented.
"Thanks, mom," Nox replied while sitting near the fire.
"Shut up!" Julian swore.
The flames crackled softly. The dry wood burned quickly, spreading a pleasant warmth.
Silence settled around the fire as each seemed lost in his thoughts.
Kaiser stared at the flames without expression. Jasper cleaned his bow carefully. Julian stared at the ground, elbows on his knees. Nox sucked on a new lollipop, looking absent.
"Stop worrying so much about your darling, Julian. We’ll find her and you can give her lots of hugs..." Kaiser suddenly said in a mocking tone, wanting to lighten the atmosphere.
All eyes instinctively turned to Julian, who already had a prominent vein pulsing on his temple.
"What the hell are you talking about, bastard?!" he exploded.
He took a deep breath, trying to calm down.
"Anyway, you couldn’t understand..."
"Understand what?" Jasper asked, slightly raising his eyes.
Julian lowered his gaze to the fire.
"What she means to me..." He was thinking of Norah.
Nox slightly raised his eyes at that name.
Julian was an impulsive sociopath. He didn’t know how to handle his emotions. He lived everything to the extreme; his childhood had been violent. Regularly beaten by his father, he had learned to stay silent, to endure. But after repressing so much, he eventually exploded.
Since then, his fits of anger were frequent.
With a personality like that, it was hard to have a stable relationship with a girl, so he went through ex after ex, but everything changed with Norah.
With her, he felt he could be himself. He didn’t need to pretend. She didn’t run away. And she loved him, something he hadn’t found in his father or his mother. Of course the guy was going to get attached. For that, he was even ready to do anything.
"You’re that in love?" Nox asked, intrigued. He didn’t see anything special in his sister.
Julian didn’t answer right away.
"I don’t know if it’s love... but yes. I’m ready to do anything for her."
"You’re really a weird guy," Jasper said while continuing to clean his bow.
"What the hell do you know about love before opening your mouth?" Julian retorted. "There’s only your damn bow in your life. You’d almost think you sleep with it."
Kaiser burst out laughing.
Jasper stopped for a moment, as if thinking.
"... Yet there is someone I love."
Silence fell immediately.
"Who?" they all said almost at the same time.
"You really love someone... you?" Nox asked.
Jasper shrugged slightly, as if it were the most predictable thing in the world.
"I don’t know if it’s love. But she obsesses me. I think about her often. I wonder what she’s doing... It distracts me sometimes."
He paused.
"I think that’s it, right?"
He was talking about Lynn.
A difficult woman, so proud that she was centered on herself. But somehow, they had found each other. A narcissist and a psychopath... how surprising love is, isn’t it?
Julian looked at him as if discovering a new species.
Nox, for his part, tilted his head slightly.
"I don’t know. All I know is that there’s no better way to show love than through pain," he declared calmly.
"Fucking lunatic! There really isn’t one to catch up with the other," Julian retorted.
Kaiser stretched his legs.
"Why bother with just one when you can have several?"
Julian rolled his eyes. "What did I say..."
"But what the hell are you talking about again? You only think about yourself."
"It’s logical," Kaiser replied calmly. "You don’t put all your eggs in one basket. And besides, there are more important things than that."
Jasper nodded slightly. The argument wasn’t absurd.
Julian, however, remained skeptical.
"More important like what?" Nox asked.
Kaiser stared at the flames for a few seconds.
"Finding the Key of Solomon, in my case. Basically, my goals."
"What’s that? The Key of Solomon?" Julian asked immediately.
Kaiser gave a slight smile.
"The one that would allow summoning demons? Why exactly do you need it?" Nox asked, narrowing his eyes. If that bastard was part of The Spectrum, Kaiser probably wouldn’t see the sunrise.
"Exactly, I don’t want The Spectrum to get their hands on it... But it’s hard to search alone, especially since it’s dangerous," Kaiser declared.
"I’ll help you; anyway you’re already helping me with my sister," Nox replied sincerely.
Following the flow, Julian and Jasper also offered their help. They all agreed in an instant that if he had good information on this grimoire that could summon demons, they would gather.
Nox rummaged in his storage ring and pulled out three small devices, distributing them. "This will allow us to stay connected; the moment it rings, we can all teleport to the indicated place."
He gave them a brief explanation before rummaging again and handing them lollipops.
"What’s this for?" Julian asked, perplexed.
"This is to thank you for helping me," he replied with a smile.
Everyone stayed silent, even Jasper; with the blindfold over his eyes, one could probably imagine the weird look he was giving.
"What the hell is this nonsense." Kaiser rubbed his temples.
Julian stared at the lollipops in Nox’s hand, who had a more than dubious smile on his face. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
