Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 247: Chimera!?
The four remained frozen there, staring at the dark corridor ahead of them. Time seemed to pass more slowly than usual, the seconds dragging on as the hairs on their bodies stood on end.
"What the hell is this shit!?"
Julian was the first to break the silence, his hands wrapped tightly around the hilt of his sword until the tips of his fingers turned white, growing more and more impatient.
"Weird, it just looks like a standard dark elf base..." Nox retorted, glancing around.
’What the hell happened here... damn it!’ Kaiser thought, feeling a growing sense of unease. He had clearly noticed he wasn’t the only one feeling it. Even Jasper had gone into maximum alert mode.
A silhouette appeared in the shadows. It advanced slowly. "Get out..." it muttered in a trembling voice.
The creature finally stepped out of the darkness.
Julian stood with his mouth open.
"Am I dreaming or what..."
Before them stood a humanoid figure. It had long black hair falling down its back. Its skin was extremely pale. Too pale for someone alive.
Its eyes... were not there.
In their place were only two black sockets.
Dark blood slowly dripped from those cavities. The drops ran down its cheeks before falling onto the cold floor.
Plop.
Plop.
Each drop seemed to echo in the silence.
"Is this some kind of... naked ghost?" Jasper said, thinking aloud.
The creature was indeed wearing no clothes. Its body was thin, almost fragile. Its chest was exposed, but that was not the detail that held their attention.
It was its back. Two large wings had been grafted onto its body. The feathers were damaged.
The scars around the graft were clearly visible. A monstrous work. And the aura emanating from it was as violent as it was unstable.
"Who are you?" Kaiser asked calmly.
He had raised a hand to prevent the others from attacking.
"What do you want from us?"
The creature remained motionless as its head tilted slightly.
"Leave... leave me alone..."
Its voice was weak.
"What did you say?!" Julian replied, frowning.
But it said nothing more.
It seemed lost.
As if it didn’t really understand what was happening.
Julian was still trying to process what was in front of him. A failed experiment? A chimera? While he was lost in thought, Kaiser’s voice suddenly exploded.
"DUDE! WATCH OUT!"
Julian turned his head.
Too late. The creature had disappeared. Then a silhouette appeared in front of him, its speed terrifying.
Kaiser could do nothing.
He simply saw the creature pass beside him and, for a fraction of a second, it turned its head.
Its empty sockets fixed on Kaiser, an icy sensation running through his entire body.
Its hand moved toward Julian’s throat.
"Fuck!"
Julian tilted his head to the side.
*Boom.*
A violent sound shook the corridor; the son of Duke Frostvine crashed against the wall behind him as the stone cracked, sending a cloud of dust into the air that filled the hallway.
"Is Julian dead?... Just like that?" Nox asked, narrowing his eyes.
"No," Jasper replied immediately while drawing his bow. "I can still sense his presence."
An arrow flew. It cut through the dust at a terrifying speed. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
*Clang.*
A metallic sound rang out; the creature had just deflected the arrow with its hand as if it were the most ordinary thing.
The dust slowly cleared, giving the others a bit of visibility to see Julian standing in front of the thing, his sword raised.
"Die, you bitch!..." he roared, swinging a horizontal strike aimed directly at the head. He had no time to waste and wanted to end it once and for all.
But the creature pulled its arm from the wall and dodged; its body moved with a strange fluidity. It spun and launched a circular kick.
Its foot passed inches from Julian’s head as he ducked just in time, saving his head once again.
"She’s fast..." Kaiser noted as he immediately joined the fight.
His two swords gleamed as he attacked from the right. Two quick strikes, but the creature instinctively retreated, avoiding Kaiser’s blades while letting Jasper’s arrow pass at the same time.
"Fuck! She’s pissing me off," Julian bellowed upon seeing the opportunity slip away.
The arrow passed in front of the beast’s face and embedded itself in the nearby wall.
"What the...?" Kaiser clenched his teeth as his face darkened more and more. He had just discovered something else. Something much more important: he could not use his aura.
"Is this a joke?!..."
He had just tried to activate his aura, but after a dozen attempts, he still hadn’t succeeded. How was this possible? Since when? And why hadn’t he noticed it earlier?
Several questions crowded his mind as he tried to find a damn solution to this problem. Meanwhile, Julian seemed to be facing the same situation; he grew angrier and angrier as his expression turned into something horrible.
"You felt it too, right?" Julian said, addressing Kaiser who was closest. "I can’t use my aura... what the hell is this?"
"Yes, I’m dealing with the same problem and I don’t think we’re the only ones..." Kaiser replied while trying again.
It was as if the place itself was blocking their physical energy. That only made the task more complicated; it was ridiculous.. they were going to have to rely on their physical strength to finish this fight.
"Great..." Julian muttered through gritted teeth as he prepared to receive the next attack.
She closed the distance in the blink of an eye, then her hand moved toward Julian’s chest, which he blocked with his sword.
*Clang.*
The impact sent him back several steps as sparks flew. Without losing a second, Kaiser arrived at her flank. His two swords struck in a cross.
Cornered, the creature retreated two steps, but just as she was about to attack again, five arrows rained down violently in her direction.
She suddenly disappeared and reappeared farther away, dodging with ease, but just as she thought she had evaded everything, an arrow appeared out of nowhere in her blind spot.
This time it struck her shoulder, the tip sinking into her flesh; she recoiled sharply as black blood flowed down her arm. But against all expectations, she did not scream.
She slightly lowered her head, simply looking at the arrow before slowly pulling it out. The blood continued to flow, but her expression did not change.
"She doesn’t even feel pain..." Kaiser murmured while observing her closely, searching for any weakness.
Meanwhile, Nox, who had not yet moved, turned his head toward another corridor. A small smirk appeared on his face. "I’ll leave you to handle this... I’ll be right back."
Without waiting for a response, he immediately began moving.
"Where the hell are you going?" Julian shouted while dodging another attack. "You can’t just come help us..."
"I’m going to find my sister," he said without turning back. The creature noticed him and tried to pursue him, but Kaiser intervened, holding her back.
"Go... we’ll meet up later."
Nox did not reply; he simply disappeared into the dark corridor, leaving the fight to continue behind him.
