Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 259: Butterfly Effect
Olivia’s body was hurled backward with unheard-of violence. It cut through the air for several meters, a graceful silhouette with silver hair tipped in gold floating, before crashing heavily against a massive dune. Sand burst all around her, forming a thick cloud to cushion her fall.
Grains were still crunching against her skin when she immediately rolled to the side.
"Shit!" she spat violently.
Adrian’s blade sank into the sand with a sinister sound, exactly where her head had rested a second earlier. Adrian Dantalion, her twenty-year-old half-brother, stood there, his golden eyes shining with an icy gleam that completely contradicted his usual easygoing appearance... In short, he also wanted to kill her.
Olivia rose halfway, still kneeling on the ground. Her clothes, torn in places, revealed her voluptuous curves and hourglass figure that made her one of the most intimidating beauties in the Empire. She could call for help but... 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
"Adrian’s death belongs to me!"
She raised her head just in time to see Adrian leap toward her with the grace of a predator.
Boom!
Without waiting for her to fully stand, Adrian advanced in a quick step and delivered a violent kick to her abdomen. The impact was sharp, sending a shockwave through her ribs. Olivia grimaced, feeling the breath leave her lungs as she retreated further under the power of this A-rank magical warrior.
"Still so slow... Pathetic shit..." Adrian murmured with contempt. "Do you really think the blood of a servant can rival the imperial lineage?"
Olivia got back to her feet, wiping a trickle of blood from the corner of her mouth. Her golden eyes, filled with playful yet deadly intelligence, fixed on him. She hated the arrogance of her brothers, especially Adrian, who had always treated her like a bastard since her mother’s assassination in the palace quarters.
Adrian parried each of her strikes with a nonchalance that drove her mad. He never really retreated; he simply deflected, dodged, as if he read her movements before she even initiated them.
She planted her khopesh into the dusty ground and straightened up, glaring at her opponent.
"Your arrogance will eventually cost you your head, Adrian..." she retorted, her voice loaded with cold anger.
Without waiting for his reply, she raised two fingers in front of her left eye.
<Elemental Magic: Eye of the Desert>
The air around them filled with golden particles. With a dry rustle, several eyeballs made of sand formed in the void, slowly spinning around the combat zone. Each one blinked erratically, giving Olivia a three-hundred-sixty-degree view of every blind spot. She now saw through their multiple eyes: the back of Adrian’s neck, his flanks, his potential weaknesses.
"I don’t know where you found this strange elemental magic," Adrian said, pivoting slightly with an amused smirk, "but it’s not going to do you much good!"
Rather than replying...
<Arcane Magic: Temporal Acceleration>
The wind stopped blowing. The dust particles suspended in the air between them froze in their course. Adrian himself seemed to have turned into a statue, his eyelids half-closed in a blink that never ended. For Olivia, time had stretched like a rubber band.
She propelled herself forward.
Her soles struck the ground three times, raising clouds of dust that remained frozen behind her. She became a silver streak in the motionless landscape, devouring the distance separating her from Adrian in a heartbeat.
When she came within range, she unleashed a series of rapid backhands. Her khopesh sliced the air in a deadly arc, aiming first at his left flank, then his throat, then his legs.
But Adrian was no longer where she had seen him.
Her blade met his, deflected at the last second.
*Clang! Clang!*
She chained attacks, faster, always faster, but Adrian now moved at a speed that defied all logic. His reflexes, boosted by Gabriel’s Blessing, allowed him to perceive the imperceptible. After all, who could rival him in the use of temporal arcane mana? Only his older brother or his father, not some pathetic servant’s daughter.
Their blades clashed in a deafening clamor. With each impact, pain shot up Olivia’s wrist. Adrian didn’t just parry; he used his own grip on the flow of time.
She saw him dodge a blow that should have sliced his shoulder.
<Art: Ephemeral Wake>
The micro-space around Adrian seemed to distort. Olivia felt her arm grow heavy as she entered his zone of influence. Adrian pivoted on his heels and struck sideways. Olivia had to react immediately.
<Arcane Magic: Temporal Slowdown>
Adrian’s blade, rushing toward her neck, suddenly lost its velocity. Olivia slid under the attack and struck Adrian’s ribs with her elbow, then followed with a knee aimed at his solar plexus. Adrian took the hit, retreating two steps, but his face remained an imperial mask of impassivity.
"Not bad for a bastard..." he spat.
"You talk too much, brother..." Olivia replied, slamming her free hand into the ground.
<Elemental Magic: Sandstorm>
A violent whirlwind rose abruptly, saturating the air with abrasive dust and howling winds, reducing visibility to almost nothing for anyone not using the <Eye of the Desert>.
Adrian found himself at the center of the vortex, sand lashing his noble face. He closed his eyes for a moment, relying on his aura perception.
Suddenly, a sharp pain pierced his shoulder. Olivia had appeared behind him and stabbed through his flesh.
Adrian growled,
"You’re going to regret touching me..."
He concentrated his aura, releasing a crushing pressure that made the sand around him stagnate.
<Arcane Magic: Temporal Stasis>
Olivia, about to deliver a second blow, suddenly found herself frozen mid-motion. Her golden eyes widened in terror as she saw Adrian turn, his sword raised for a deadly downward strike meant to cleave her in two.
Blood sprayed onto the golden sand, a gory sight that seemed to satisfy the prince’s cruel gaze.
However, Olivia was not yet defeated. In one last desperate effort, fusing her sand magic with her arcane power, she whispered:
"<Butterfly Effect>"
In a fraction of a second, reality distorted. Time seemed to fold back on itself, erasing the precious six seconds during which Adrian had struck her. The gaping wound on her shoulder closed as if it had never existed, and the blood returned to her veins.
She reappeared three meters away, panting, but unharmed from that grave injury.
"Erasing time itself..." Adrian tightened his grip on his weapon. "How is this possible? Did Father teach you that technique?"
"This ability is what will allow me to tear you from the throne, Adrian..." she replied, smoothing her hair back in a gesture emblematic of Kaiser.
