Extra's Strategy: Cultivate Protagonists, Become Invincible-Chapter 109: The Dao Of Pee Strikes Back
Chapter 109: The Dao Of Pee Strikes Back
Seeing Han Xuhan swagger into the fog, Zhao Weiqing’s face twisted under the mask. What kind of trap had this boy prepared that was giving him such confidence?
He had to spread his spiritual senses thinner than it was already to detect it. What a waste of his precious time and resources!
Step by step, he approached the area where Han Xuhan had disappeared inside the fog, and his senses were immediately prickled! The trap he was facing was right in front of him, at the edge of the fog!
Just a few meters away from where he stood, there were a bunch of scrap metals and discarded objects, buried under the soil carefully in a distinct arrangement, pulsing with the possibility of channeling qi.
The design was perfect for a trapping mechanism if one was skilled in Mystic Arts like Lawmaking, Arraymaking, or Talisman drawing. Han Xuhan had just become an Alphabet Acolyte a few hours ago. Was he relying on those letters in his foundation tower to carve law fragments?
Hah! If only this rookie knew who he was dealing with!
Zhao Weiqing relaxed after realizing that this was the trap Han Xuhan was trying to lead him into. That boy might as well be daydreaming if he thought this was going to work on him.
Zhao Weiqing’s senses also caught Han Xuhan’s traces in the fog. The boy was hiding behind some ruins, waiting for him to walk in and trigger the trap. With one cursory look through his spiritual senses, he read the composition of the law fragments buried underground.
[ Any organism within the influence of this law fragment shall be struck with a mental demon inducing tribulation ]
[ Any organism within the influence of this law fragment shall lose all immunity to physical and spiritual poisons ]
[ All moving qi within the influence of this law fragment shall be rendered immobile ]
[ All outcomes of Mystic Arts are forbidden within the influence of this law fragment ]
The sneer under Zhao Weiqing’s mask grew more pronounced. He recognized all of these law fragments. They resembled the style and structure of the law fragments used by that insufferable dragon.
Han Xuhan had practically copied some of them and modified a couple of words to fit the circumstances. But what he didn’t know was the fact that the law fragments created by primordial beings weren’t easy to activate. Human cultivators had to abide by many cosmic rules that the ancient dragons did not!
Hahahaha! How unlucky can you get?! Of all the traps you could think of, you chose one that would never work when needed? Zhao Weiqing wanted to laugh out loud.
Meanwhile, Han Xuhan seemed to have realized that Zhao Weiqing knew about the location of the trap. He shouted from the depths of the fog.
"Brother Qian Yun, please close your eyes, because I’m about to pee!"
Zhao Weiqing’s spiritual senses really caught him tugging down his trousers. It gave him a bit of a whiplash. This guy was actually peeing!
Zhao Weiqing’s frustration and disdain were overwhelmed by a wave of fury. Here he was, at the precipice of pulling off a decade-spanning plan; here was Han Xuhan, keeping him on his toes in anxiety while acting like an absolute clown.
He, Zhao Weiqing, had never been put in such a humiliating position since the day he had begun cultivating.
As if to put salt on his wounds, the high-pitched voice of him singing a strange song floated out of the fog.
"Let it flow, let it flow!
I’ll pee upwind, spray the sky!
Let it flow, let it flow~!
Nothing in front of me will be dry!
Here I stand, in the Holy Land of Laws!
Let me pee oooonnnn!"
Zhao Weiqing’s fury reached the sky. This was mockery, plain and direct mockery! This weakling, how dare he!
However, if Han Xuhan thought he could anger Zhao Weiqing into making a foolish decision like stepping into the traps, he was wrong. Zhao Weiqing’s main body wasn’t here. He had to approach a solution in a way that his current vessel could handle.
It would be a useless endeavor to attack Han Xuhan while he was surrounded by these law fragments. His attacks would never reach the target.
While Han Xuhan was nowhere near skilled enough in the language of laws to randomly write such complicated law fragments with powerful effects, the situation right now was quite complicated.
He had power sources with him, collected from the second stage. No matter how trashy his comprehension of technique was, he would be able to activate some of the law fragments with the help of the power sources to battle Zhao Weiqing.
It was no different from dumping an entire pond’s water to put out a candle. It would work regardless of how tenacious the fire of the candle was. And it didn’t require the other party to be skilled in anything. He just needed to throw the water in the general direction.
While Zhao Weiqing was busy trying to look for a way to turn the situation around, Han Xuhan finished peeing and pulled his trousers back up. He wasn’t discouraged by his opponent’s calm reaction.
Because on the bright side, he really had managed to answer nature’s call. It was a win-win situation for him anyway.
"Thanks for waiting, Brother Yun. Do you want to pee as well? Why don’t you come over? I’ll wait for you so that you don’t feel lonely."
Zhao Weiqing gritted his teeth, not daring to move forward even an inch. It was rather unfortunate that the legacy technique this vessel practiced was disadvantaged in combat. He did know a few methods to override the limits of the body’s spiritual world, but he couldn’t execute them without interrupting the purification process inside the platforms.
So he decided to buy some time by prolonging their conversation. Once his main body finished refining the other 19 vessels...
"Do you think I cannot read the law fragments you prepared under the soil?"
"Oh! There are law fragments buried here?" Han Xuhan looked down, wide-eyed.
"Goodness! I didn’t know that, Brother Yun. I could’ve died if these things were active! Why didn’t you warn me earlier?"
"Stop with the act. Listen to me. Come out from there and surrender before you force me to adopt severe measures. So long as you haven’t caused any trouble inside the platforms, you will not be harmed."
Han Xuhan put his hands up in the air immediately.
"That assures me, really! I was afraid I’d get killed for failing those tests or something worse... Come and arrest me, please. I surrender!"
"...." Zhao Weiqing’s frustration was almost about to explode in the form of an all-out attack. He responded with great restraint.
"Drop the power sources you’ve been carrying. I’ll come over then."
Han Xuhan gasped. "Do you think I’m going to try to harm you, Brother Yun? How did your impression of my character get so low?!"
"My impression of your character is what makes me sure of it. You’re definitely trying to ambush me."
"No, I’m not!" Han Xuhan sounded genuinely hurt.
"Yeah, you are."
"No, I am not." Han Xuhan plopped down on the ground, arms crossed.
"....Are you planning to buy time this way? It’s of no use." Zhao Weiqing threatened.
"Aren’t you doing the same thing? It’s of no use either," Han Xuhan said.
Zhao Weiqing felt his heart shudder at being seen through so easily.
Both of them were locked in a hopeless cycle where neither side was really willing to communicate. And sure enough, it was the reappearance of the violet light on the platforms that energized them both.
Qian Yun couldn’t help but be delighted. It looked like his reinforcements had arrived.
