Fairy Tail Destiny-Chapter 92: Ch : Ambush
Chapter 92 - Ch 92 : Ambush
A gentle breeze carried the faint fragrance of flowers through the forest, rustling the leaves and lifting a few into the air, where they danced briefly before settling onto the long black hair of a young girl.

She appeared to be no more than sixteen or seventeen years old, her slender figure wrapped in a black trench coat that did little to conceal her pale, almost ghostly skin.
Deep scars—one on her right abdomen and another along her left rib—marred her delicate frame.
Her long black twin tails swayed slightly with the wind.
With her eyes closed and arms crossed over her chest, she stood motionless, as if waiting for something.
"...He's here."
Her cold, detached voice broke the silence as she slowly opened her blue eyes, directing her gaze toward a figure approaching in the distance.
The newcomer was a young man about the same age as the girl.
His features were delicate—almost excessively so—giving him a somewhat fragile appearance.
He had black hair and brown eyes, and the moment he saw the girl, his pupils shrank slightly before quickly returning to a calm state.
"I didn't expect that the one sent after me would be you," he said, his tone carrying a bitter amusement.
"I thought it would be Garlos, Dylan, or Stella... To think they'd even send you for my life—they must really see me as a threat, huh? Second Throne—Tsukiyo."
Though the boy's expression remained unchanged, an icy bitterness filled his heart.
He knew better than anyone just how terrifying this slender girl before him truly was.
Demon God's Soul—seven thrones, seven souls, seven blades.
In theory, all seven thrones were equal in rank.
But that was only in theory.
In reality, the seven could be divided into three tiers of power, with the difference between them as vast as heaven and earth.
Garlos, Stella, Dylan, and himself belonged to the second tier.
But the girl standing before him...
She was one of only two who stood at the very peak of the seven thrones—the highest tier of all.
He had always expected there would be pursuers.
After all, by staying behind for days to save His Majesty Nord, he had exposed his whereabouts.
He had long since accepted the price of his decision.
But never—never—had he imagined that the one sent after him... would be her.
If it were anyone else, the young man was confident that he could escape.
Even if Garlos was proficient in spatial magic, with his own abilities, he could still retreat unscathed if he was determined to flee.
But... against the girl standing before him, he knew escape was no longer a question of if, but rather how long he could last before being caught.
The black-haired girl's face remained emotionless at his words.
Her voice was cold and indifferent as she spoke.
"The moment you betrayed our Master, you were placed on my kill list, Ishu. And this time, your luck is particularly bad—because I was the one closest to you."
"I didn't betray Master. I simply have something I must do."
Even in the face of certain death, the young man clung to his belief.
To him, Master was like a parent, a figure he could never truly betray.
Even if he had left the guild, his heart would never turn against that person.
"That's nothing more than your own wishful thinking." The girl's voice remained unmoved. "You should know by now that there's no escaping from me. You have two choices—will you take your own life? Or shall I do it for you?"
"What a shame... I don't have the habit of waiting for death." Ishu shrugged.
Even though he fully understood the vast gap between their strength, that didn't mean he would simply resign himself to fate.
"Then... let me see just how much you've improved since leaving Demon God's Soul, former Fifth Throne—Ishu."
As soon as the girl finished speaking, black magic surged into the sky.
A suffocating pressure filled the air—an overwhelming power that sent shivers down the spine.
Just enduring the sheer force of her magic was enough to make Ishu feel helpless, as if he were drowning in an abyss of despair.
This was the absolute difference in level.
"Die."
At that moment, Ishu's vision was consumed by pure, endless darkness...

"He should be dead... right?"
Standing atop the mountain, the black-haired girl gazed downward.
All she could see was the rushing river below and the faint traces of blood drifting through the air.
She frowned slightly. She disliked uncertainty.
By all logic, after being seriously wounded by her strike, pushed to the brink of death, and then falling into the raging river, survival should have been impossible.
And yet...
Until she saw the corpse with her own eyes, she wouldn't let her guard down.
"Until I find his body, I'll assume he's still alive."
Muttering to herself, the girl turned and walked away.

At the same time
"We finally completed the mission, Carla!"
A girl with long, deep blue hair beamed happily as she spoke to a white, winged cat flying in the air.
"A mission this simple—completing it was only natural," the white cat replied, crossing her arms.
"Hehe."
Seeing Carla's slightly awkward expression, the blue-haired girl couldn't help but let out a light, bell-like laugh.
Soon, however, her emotions settled, and a thoughtful look appeared in her eyes.
(I wonder how Noel and Jellal are doing...? We'll definitely meet again, right? Noel... Jellal...)
Carla furrowed her brows as she watched the girl's expression, filled with longing.
She wanted to ask something but didn't know how to begin.
(Maybe it's better if I don't ask anything... I should just change the subject instead. Hmm??)
Suddenly, Carla's eyes widened in shock. She pointed ahead and called out urgently, "Wendy, look!"
The girl lifted her head and saw something drifting along the rushing river—a blood-soaked figure slowly floating downstream.
"Carla, we have to save him!" Wendy cried out anxiously.
Even before Wendy finished speaking, Carla had already flapped her wings, soaring toward the river at high speed.
With great care, she grabbed hold of the wounded figure and carried him to the riverbank.
"Thank goodness... He's gravely injured, but he's still breathing."
After checking the young man's condition, Wendy let out a small sigh of relief.
His body was covered in severe, life-threatening wounds, yet he still clung to life.
But if he didn't receive treatment soon, he would surely die within minutes.
Determined, Wendy stretched out her hands, and a gentle light began to glow from her palms, slowly enveloping the injured boy.
