Fake Marriage To The Richest Tycoon-Chapter 80: Do you have a bat or stick?
Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Do you have a bat or stick?
"Ah! Oh my god!" she screamed, bending down and covering her ears.
In less than a second, the place seemed to turn into a mafia battleground.
The smell of gunpowder filled the air, mixed with smoke and a foul stench. Qin Zhuzhu felt suffocated. Where is Sanya? What the hell is happening? She hoped Sanya wasn’t caught in the crossfire.
A hand rested on her shoulder, and she jumped in fear.
"Ah! Who’s there!?" She spun around quickly, assuming a fighting stance.
"Easy. You must be Ah Jing’s wife, hmm?" The man squatted down to look at her face.
"W-who are you?" Qin Zhuzhu didn’t dare to trust anyone at this moment.
"I’m Ah Jing’s best friend in the whole world. You can call me Ah Xi or Ruxi," the man said, his tone exaggerated.
She scanned him up and down. He wasn’t bad-looking—handsome, with a chiseled face and dashing features. He was even smiling at her so brightly that she thought he might be a little crazy.
Nonetheless, Qin Zhuzhu felt a glimmer of hope. She needed to save Sanya, but she didn’t know her location. Even if this guy was a fraud, she could use him to her advantage, right? Maybe he knew something about the situation.
"What’s going on over there?" She motioned with her chin.
"Oh, there? Ah Jing is saving your pretty ass. Thanks to the clues and GPS from your phone, which you left on the bus, we were able to track your location," the man propped his elbows on his knees and rested his chin on his palms as he spoke.
Is this man really sent by Stinky Jing? Qin Zhuzhu began to believe him a little. The man in front of her knew about the "clues" she had left. Those clues could only be seen and deciphered by Shentu Jing, which meant this man wasn’t a fraud.
Qin Zhuzhu’s eyes brightened as if Bodhisattva had come to save the day.
Her "Bodhisattva" was in front of her, watching her expression with a dreamy look.
"You’re so beautiful. No wonder Ah Jing is taken by you," he sighed.
"What?" She blinked, confused.
"Nothing. Let’s get out of here first," he stood up and motioned for her to follow.
"Wait! What about Sanya? I need to find her," Qin Zhuzhu insisted.
"Sanya? Who’s that?" The man casually leaned against a metal container.
"My friend. She was kidnapped with me. She might still be in there," Qin Zhuzhu’s voice trembled slightly.
"In there?" He looked to where she pointed. Thick smoke was rising from the main building.
She nodded vigorously.
"Everything in there either has bullets in them or is missing limbs," he said bluntly.
Suddenly, Qin Zhuzhu felt lightheaded and dizzy. Oh god. This can’t be happening!
The man quickly held her arm to steady her.
"Actually," he added quickly, afraid that Shentu Jing might scold him, "I think she’s okay. My men reported capturing a few females. Maybe she’s among them. Later, I’ll take you to see them, okay?" His voice was gentle and soothing.
"Okay, okay," Qin Zhuzhu agreed enthusiastically.
She followed the man through the maze of containers to where a black car was hidden in the shadows. Immediately, she recognized it as Shentu Jing’s Maybach.
"Where’s Stinky Jing?" Qin Zhuzhu asked, unable to hide the concern in her voice.
"Stinky Jing? Hahaha, I can’t believe you gave him such a crude nickname. He’s beating up those men who touched you. Or maybe he’s getting beat up by them. Who knows?" Peixuan Ruxi shrugged, seeming carefree.
When Qin Zhuzhu heard that, her palms started to sweat, and her heart raced. She quickly looked around for something.
"What are you looking for?" Peixuan Ruxi asked, confused by her actions.
"Do you have a bat or a stick? The stronger, the better," she said.
"Yes, I do. I used it to kill people," he pulled a bat from the trunk and handed it to her. The bat had noticeable red spots on the edge.
Qin Zhuzhu froze, her face turning slightly pale.
"Kill people?" she repeated robotically, noticing the red spots. She wanted to throw the bat away but decided against it. Since I’m already in this state, what’s the worst that could happen?
"Thanks," she muttered before dashing off toward the sound of gunshots.
"Hey! What are you doing? You’re going to get yourself killed!" Peixuan Ruxi cried out, but her slender figure had already vanished into the smoke.
Damn, that girl is brave and fearless. She’s not what I expected. No wonder Ah Jing likes her so much.
Damn again! Peixuan Ruxi slapped his thigh.
If anything were to happen to her... Oh shit! He quickly ran in the direction she had gone, calling her name.
---
"Stinky Jing!"
Qin Zhuzhu was beyond surprised to see Shentu Jing holding a gun, his white shirt stained with blood. She had run for quite some time, braving the increasingly hot fire leaping across the ceiling and bypassing unmoving bodies on the ground. She stopped when she recognized the familiar back of a man.
Oh shit! Shentu Jing cursed inwardly.
Shentu Jing didn’t understand the situation he was in. He didn’t dare to move. Did she see me kill people? Will that give her nightmares? Will she avoid him in the future? What will she do if she learns of his past?
"Little Pearl..." Shentu Jing lowered his arm, his face pale. He stared at her, unsure of what to say or do.
Suddenly... Dash! Leap!
The girl hopped over the fire like a little bunny.
Qin Zhuzhu threw her arms around his waist, hugging him tightly and almost knocking him off balance.
Shentu Jing was stunned. He reached out and stroked her hair, comforting her.
Qin Zhuzhu pulled away and looked him up and down. When she saw the bloodstains on his shirt, tears unknowingly fell from her beautiful foxy eyes.
Shentu Jing was alarmed. What’s happening?!
"Little Pearl, what... why are you crying?"
