Falling in Love : I love you, Today and Forever-Chapter 651: True face - Part 3
Chapter 651: True face - Part 3
"Dad." Ivy and Aria shouted and looked at the man, who now was bleeding from his lips. His left cheek was bruised and he had his eyes closed as he tried to endure the pain that had assaulted him from nowhere.
"How dare you?" Noah seethed, his expression filled with murderous intent.
Even Joshua and Ian, who were familiar with their friend's behavior, were stunned to see Noah now becoming a raging beast. The man was livid and lethal and anyone who stood in his way was bound to be at the receiving end of his wrath. And Oliver West happened to be the one at that moment.
"Dad, are you alright?" Aria examined her father in worry and glared at Noah, for the first time feeling an intense rage bubbling in her heart. She had never been this angry before, not on Noah at least.
"Dad.... Ian, please help Dad." Aria pleaded with Ian, who was already running towards them with the first aid kit.
While Ivy stood beside their father, Aria approached Noah, who showed no traces of remorse for what he had done. Instead, he glared at the Aria, his eyes now devoid of any gentleness and love he had for her in his heart.
Aria was stunned the see the change in him. Yet, she stayed still and glared back at him with equal vigor. Please visit 𝑓𝗿𝐞e𝑤𝚎𝗯n𝗼ν𝙚l. 𝑐𝒐𝓶
"How dare you punch my father?" She spat and clenched her fists.
"He blamed my grandfather." Noah too did not hold back, his menacing voice installing fear in Ian and Joshua.
While Ian treated Oliver, Joshua stood behind Noah, ready to stop him if the situation turned drastic and he turned violent again. All the people in the mansion were their loved ones and right now, Noah was not in his right state of mind. If he hurt them due to his blind anger, he would surely regret it later when he came back to his senses.
"I understand your sentiments, Noah." Aria's anger softened for a moment after hearing him. "But you should not have punched him. He is my Dad and after all these days, staying with him in the same house, you are familiar with him. Do you think he would blame someone without any evidence?"
Seeing Noah's dark expression, Aria did not allow him to interrupt her and took a step forward. She held his hands in hers and used her thumb to draw circles on the back of his hands to calm him down.
"Either Dad is mistaken or..." She glanced at her father who was looking at her with an unfathomable expression. "Maybe there is something we do not know and that needs to be introspected."
"Aria." Noah's tone turned deadly low and he took a step towards her. "My grandfather is not like that. He would never involve himself in any sort of crimes."
"In that case, there must be a misunderstanding here. Maybe, there are things we do not know and Dad might be mistaken." Her words managed to calm the monster in Noah and he did not speak a word.
"How do you feel, Dad?" Ivy's frown deepened when she heard her father hiss in pain as Ian treated his injuries.
"I'm fine, Ivy. Do not worry, child." Oliver wiped the droplet of tear that had escaped from her eye and held it in his index finger. "See, this precious droplet of tear makes me more miserable than these superficial injuries. Stop crying, Ivy." He chided her gently and smiled at her to assure her that he was fine.
"Do not worry, Ivy. Mr. West's injuries are small. They will heal in a few days." Ian too assured her from the side and stood straight once he was done before he glanced at Noah, who seemed to have finally calmed down.
"Dad, what is this Mission Code X? Explain clearly so that we do not have any more confusion." Ivy probed and asked the question that everyone including Noah had in mind.
Oliver let out a sigh and ignoring all the pain from his wounds, he started speaking again. "As I said before, we found out about this sudden meeting and we got to know many rich being involved in this scandal." He threw a discreet glimpse at Noah before he pulled out a paper from the file on the dining table.
"These are all the people I saw with my own eyes attending the meeting."
Oliver pursed his lips and handed the paper to Ivy, who took it skeptically. Most of the names were familiar to her and she was not surprised to see them on the list. She too had more or less found out a thing or two about them. They were not as innocent as the world deemed them to be.
However, the name that shocked her greatly was obviously Noah's grandfather. Even though she wanted to believe that his grandfather was innocent, her rationality told otherwise. Her father was exceptional at finding the evidence and if he was sure that Jonathan Carter had attended the secret meeting, then he must have attended it. There was no other truth.
"I understand your anger, Noah and I am not furious at you for punching me. Maybe, I would have done the same too if someone were to tell me that the people I loved were involved in such matters. However, you will have to trust me. I am not lying to you. I have solid evidence to prove that your grandfather is somehow linked to this matter, only that all those evidence is not with me right now. I have stored them somewhere safe. Give me some time. I will show them all to you."
"How much more are you going to lie, Oliver?" Noah's rage, which had somehow calmed down under Aria's words, rose to the peak again and this time, he did not control himself anymore. "Do you think I would fall prey to your words and have a fallout with my grandfather?"
"But..." Oliver did not even get to complete his words as Noah walked towards him briskly and pulled him by his shirt collar.
"I do not know what your motive is, but you will not succeed in it. You will never be able to drive a wedge between my grandfather and me. I will never allow you to get what you want. Never." Noah spat.
"I know you might not trust me right now. I understand your dilemma." Facing a terrifying Noah, Oliver still maintained his calm and faced him boldly. "You can ask your grandfather about it sometime and find out yourself what the truth is. I am sure you will find out Jonathan Carter's true face."
Noah, who was already drowning in his irrational anger, felt the blood in him boil at Oliver's words and with a thunderous roar that petrified everyone, he once again punched Oliver and raised his leg to kick him.
"Dad," Aria, who at one point in time had walked closer to the two men, screamed in shock and pushed her father away. However, she was not that fortunate and could not save herself in time, ended up taking the blow. Noah's kick landed directly on her stomach.
