Chapter 375 - Dragon Pass

Michael had returned to his hotel room after his encounter with the gangsters who got reversed robbed by him.

After taking a quick shower and dressing up for bed, he stood on the glass wall as he watched the bustling streets below with a smile on his face when he remembered what happened earlier near the Han River.

'That was an easy one million won, should I go around and start robbing gangsters starting tomorrow?'

He couldn't help but laugh at the thought of robbing those gangsters who love extorting money from people who couldn't protect themselves from them.

'A bunch of bastards who can only bully the weak'

Michael grumbled inside, but he decided that he should focus on the reason why he came here in the first place instead of doing something not even related to it.

'I also need to see Fox again tomorrow, and ask her about that job that suddenly landed to me from out of nowhere'

'Well, time to game'

Michael turned around and took the game helmet resting on the desk opposite of his bed before he wore it over his head and laid down on the bed.

Shua!

Shadow appeared inside a long and deep ravine, where it's just enough for ten or so people to walk shoulder to shoulder, and in front of him is a small campfire that had already been extinguished.

So where had Shadow ended up to this time?

During the past week, Shadow had encountered a lot of trouble along the way before he reached this deep ravine called Dragon Pass just yesterday.

This place was called Dragon Pass because this is the only pathway leading to the heart of the Wildlands.

It has a maze-like structure that looks like the roots of a tree, and would certainly get someone lost in this place if they don't know what they are doing.

Of course, the exception is if there is any sane human being that's able to climb up the towering and perilous cliff that reaches the skies to reach the top.

And behind this huge maze-like terrain lies Mount Rasborg, Shadow's last and final destination.

"I knew coming here was a bad idea" cursed Shadow with an annoyed look just remembering Sonya's face.

Right now, he looked extremely haggard, especially the equipment on his body that had become really worn down from continuous battle and repair.

Shadow had even thought of getting himself killed from monsters residing in Dragon Pass and resurrect back to Snow Village, but when he thought of the hardships he had been through to get here, he just can't go with it and waste it all just because he was having a hard time by himself and being bored as he's probably the only human in this map right now.

Well, he did find a few human skeletons here and there, who probably died trying to explore the Wildlands.

Roar!

"Shit!"

Shadow quickly drew his dual daggers and turned around to face the monster that suddenly appeared, but when he turned around, he didn't see any large monster but a small monster that only reached his chest and looked like a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

"Ahh...crap"

He quickly turned around and ran as quickly as possible as he activated [Sprint], hastily escaping from there as he turned into another corner.

Roaaar!

He had just turned into the corner when a more powerful monstrous roar reverberated behind him as a monster much bigger than the one before appeared from a corner behind the small monster.

It's appearance and build is similar to that of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, the only difference is that its back is covered in a row of white spikes, and the tip of its tail is round covered in spikes.

The small Rex turned to face its parent and was roaring softly, and soon after, the two of them followed after the trail of Shadow.

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!

The two monsters didn't notice the small cavity on the cliff wall and just passed by it, and inside that small cavity just enough for two people to go in is Shadow sitting down on the ground while hugging an enormous red egg with a tinge of blue that kept pulsing with a soft red glow.

"You better be worth all of the trouble of me venturing this deep in these dangerous lands"

Shadow couldn't help but complain while looking at the egg, but at the same time, he was also ecstatic with the changes of the egg as it had never showed signs of hatching before except for the hatching progress that had long reached over sixty percent which allowed him to store the egg inside his [Storage] space.

[Mutant Fire Drake Egg]

An offspring of a Fire Drake and Water Drake. A union of two elements that should have been impossible.

Status:

65/100

Shadow couldn't help but smile at the thoughts of having a pet drake.

After all, he already has an Arodan by his side that will certainly become an Empyrean Beast when it grows up.

Wouldn't he become the strongest player if he also has Drake as a pet?

After all, Drakes are ranked as Magic Beasts, just a rank below Empyrean Beast.

With the progress of the game and players, the latter group had slowly figured out that pets and monsters were ranked as.

Common Beasts.

Ferocious Beasts.

Magic Beasts.

Empyrean Beasts and lastly, Divinity Beast.

A good example of an Empyrean Beast and Divinity Beast is the Jade Rabbit, also known as Arodan, and that Frost Dragon respectively, which is obviously Sonya whom he met at Snow Village.

Shadow stood up and peeked his head out of the cavity and looked left and right, and when he saw that there's no more monsters around, he went back in and dragged his mini map in the center of his vision and enlarged it.

He studied the pathways for the map of the Dragon Pass that would lead him to Mount Rasborg, which would have been impossible for him if Sonya didn't give him a detailed map of this place.

"Okay"

Finished studying the correct path, Shadow dragged it away from his vision and carefully stepped outside the small cave and looked around before he bolted towards a direction with light steps as he didn't want another encounter with a monster that could easily kill him.

But what he didn't notice, is that there's a flash of shadow stalking after him.
