Fated: The Alpha's Unwanted Luna-Chapter 130: Play a game_Part 1
"A very charming man," he finished for her, his eyes glimmering with amusement as, through her struggling to retrieve his phone, she had ended up in an undeniably intimate position with him on the couch.
She was kneeling on the couch, her knees bent on either side of his thighs, leaning stubbornly forward in an attempt to reach his phone. He could feel her hand probing and pressing against him with every stretch toward his back pocket, sending his body into overdrive. Not only that, the way she leaned down caused her oversized shirt to fall open slightly at the front, giving him an unintended glimpse of her breasts. She was wearing a black lounge bra, her curves straining against the thin fabric as she fought him for possession of his phone.
It was a dangerously sexy sight, and his eyes were naturally drawn there. When she pressed even closer in her struggle, her soft breasts brushed against his face, and Sebastian felt his insides curl tight like a live wire, sending heat and sparks racing through him.
He fought the urge to pull her fully against him, to feel her pressed close and his mouth over her chest. Damn it! He was soon snapped out when he heard her reply to his words.
"Charming my foot. You are infuriating. And just so you know, I have seen men far more handsome and charming than the likes of you, Sebastian!" she snorted, bluntly lying despite the fact that every fiber of her being knew he was dangerously attractive. But she would never admit that to him, lest it inflated his already formidable ego.
Instead of feeling offended, Sebastian only laughed and decided to play a little rough with her. He reached out and grabbed the hand she had been trying to slip under him, pulling it out before securing his hold around her waist. With swift ease, he shifted her position until her knees gave way on the couch and she ended up straddling him.
Viola gasped as she suddenly found herself sitting on him, straddling him, her dress riding up along her thighs as her knees bent at either side of his hips.
Her breath caught when his arms circled her waist and pulled her closer, forcing her to brace her palms against his bare chest for support. She felt his hands slide from her waist to settle firmly on her hips, fingers tightening and pressing her downward. Only then did she become belatedly aware of something hard beneath her, making her frown as she initially assumed it was his trouser zipper, yet a zipper could not possibly be that firm...
Viola parted her lips to speak but found herself unable to form words as she was drawn into the depth of his silver gaze. His eyes were mesmerizing, almost hypnotic.
Sebastian studied her face at such close proximity. Their playful fight had left her hair even more disheveled, strands falling all over her face. He couldn’t resist lifting one hand from her hip to gently tuck the hair behind her ear, revealing her flushed cheeks and breathless expression more clearly.
Her lips were slightly parted, and because she had stopped struggling, he allowed his hand to trace slowly from her ear down to her lips. She jolted at his touch but did not pull away. His thumb brushed against her lower lip, almost as though he expected it to yield something sweet from how plump and enticing it looked.
Every part of her appeared soft and delicate, except her hands, which told silent stories of all she had endured. Her eyes were breathtaking, the color of the ocean, blue like a clear sky, framed with dark lashes that made them even more striking. Sebastian felt an irresistible urge to find a doctor who could correct her sight and free her from the glasses that partially hid those clear, mesmerizing eyes, eyes one could easily get lost in, like plunging into the deepest ocean.
"Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are?" he whispered, his voice low, almost as if caught in a spell, unable to tear his gaze away from her.
Instead of feeling flattered, Viola reacted like a cornered wildcat. She suddenly attempted to rise, pushing at his chest, her face masked with displeasure as though he had said something deeply offensive.
"Let go of me," she demanded, glaring at him when he tightened his hold on her hips.
Sebastian realized his mistake almost instantly. She didn’t believe she was beautiful, and hearing it from him like this must have sounded like one of those cheap lines men used to charm women. He’d completely forgotten he wasn’t dealing with just anyone but this special woman.
"I have invited Evan and the Lindens, along with Ember, just like you requested," Sebastian said quickly in an attempt to shift the topic and stop her from struggling to get up. As expected, his words made her pause and sit back down, looking at him in surprise.
"Really?" she asked, the anger in her expression fading immediately as she hadn’t expected him to send the invitations so soon.
"Hmm. They will be here the day after tomorrow," he replied softly, lifting his hand again to adjust the strands of hair that had fallen loose from behind her ear. He tucked them back once more, unable to help but think that she was as stubborn as her unruly hair.
He had invited the Lindens because he had many questions for them, especially regarding the orphanage they had adopted Viola from. He knew that if he asked her directly now, while she was sober, she would reveal nothing about her adoption or her past. If she had been sober the previous night, she would never have told him what she did.
The best course of action was to gather information from her adoptive parents and then investigate the orphanage himself. He needed to uncover what kind of dark dealings had taken place there, especially since she had said children reportedly died under suspicious circumstances. There was also the possibility that Viola’s twin might still be there like she said, and if that was the case, everything would fall into place for him about his plans.
But before jumping to conclusions about the coincidence of her being his mate and also having a twin, he needed to learn the truth about her background. Only then could he determine whether she possessed the remaining pieces he had been searching for all along.
