Desmond ’s POV

I and my brother including , Sister Maddie, Elle and My Uncle Lucian were all gathered in the dining room. The table was set with Silver plates and utensils. With candles lits at the Center.

Maddie and Elle were seated together. They kept whispering and looking at the door. Sofia was already at the right side of Damian, sittied in the Luna’s chair. She had her shoulders up high and honestly, she looked really sexy with the black dress she wore.

It totally exposed her cleavage. I kept looking at it and it wasn’t just me, my brothers weren’t left out.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door of the dining room

I looked uo hoping that it would be Heaven but I knew that it was someone else because Heavn definitely wouldn’t knock.

When the door opened, Beta Hayden walked in. He was Sofia’s father and a very respectable official in the whole pack.

He was frowning as usual in this formal uniform, looking like like a high ranked official that he was.

I and my brothers were surprised to see him as we exchanged glances. We didn’t invite him so how the hell was he at our family dinner.

Beta Hayden walked into the room and bowed his head respectfully. "Alpha," he acknowledged my brother and we nodded.

"Lucian, it’s nice to see you," He greeted.

"Mmm," Lucian replied.

Then he finally turned to look at Maddie and Elle. He gave them a small smile to Elle and he turned to Maddie completely and smiled.

"The Full Moon princess. It is always good to see you Maddie, Beta Hayden said

Maddie smiled deeply, she loved hearing people refer to her as that. She stood up and stretched her dress.

"Thank you, Beta Hayden. I’m glad you could make it."

She is the one that invited Beta Hayden without letting us know about it first.

"Sister, you invited Beta Hayden?" I asked and she nodded.

Damian straightened his back and frowned at Maddie. "Since when is a outsider invited to family dinner?"

"Oh, don’t be so dramatic. Sofia is family to us and that makes her father family too. Sofia haven’t seen her father for a while and she was upset about what happened at the Ball so I thought she would need him to not feel alone," Maddie said rolling her eyes.

"We’re here to give her the support that she needs." I said

"Exactly and she won’t ever feel alone with us here," Dylan said frowning.

"You’ve crossed the line this time sister," Damon said.

"I was doing this for the sake of Sofia, I don’t know why I am being attacked for being nice," Maddie said confused.

I know Maddie too well, she would never agree that she had done anything wrong. It doesn’t matter is it was really the right thing to do but it would always be right to her.

"Okay Maddie. So explain why you didn’t see the need to inform us first," Damian asked as he tilted his head to the side.

Before Maddie could say anything, Hayden spoke

"I’m sorry for intruding. I didn’t know that I wasn’t officially invited. I’ll take my leave now,"

He turned and was about to make his way out of the dinning room.

"You’re here now so just stay," Damian said. "But next time when this happens again I won’t think twice before throwing you out."

Sofia fell onto Damian’s arm.

"Thank you Damian," she said as if she was about to cry.

She pulled away and I saw tears filled in her eyes.

"Sofia, go hug your father," Maddie said.

Sofia stood up quickly and ran towards Hayden with her arm opened. She reached out, but Hayden was completely still. He didn’t open his arms to comfort her like a normal father would do when he sees his daughter.

I looked at Dylan that was beside me and he just rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders.

Everybody knew what happened between Sofia and her father and it wasn’t a new thing. He probably was still blaming her for her mother’s death.

When Sofia pulled back I saw her looking up at her father but there was no smile on his face even after not seeing her for two years.

She went back to her seat looking totally embarrassed.

"Have a seat here," Uncle Lucian said as he gestured for Hayden to seat next to an empty seat beside Sofia.

"Now that we’re all here, let us wait for the Luna," Uncle Lucian said.

"Hmph," Maddie scoffed and rolled her eyes as she sipped her wine.

"That is if she ever shows up," Elle muttered.

Just then, the door opened again.

My eyes shifted from Sofia’s cleavage to Heaven by the door. She was wearing a red dress that complimented her beautiful features, her red hair and green eyes.

She looked up at everyone first, then her eyes landed on mine and I smiled at her but she looked down immediately. She didn’t smile back at me.

And my heart was hurt but I let it go.

I was still angry about what she had done with Remus but I was willing to forgive her because she didn’t know what kind of person Remus was and she was being deceived by him.

"I see that you’re doing well Luna Heaven,"

Beta Hayden said has he stood up from where he sat and bowed to Heaven.

It was a really awkward moment. Heaven smiled a little bit and Beta Hayden got back to his seat.

Heaven looked to the side. She saw that Sofia was on the chair that’s meant for the Luna but she didn’t say anything as usual. She didn’t even look angry, she just glanced at Sofia and nodded her head as if to say that she wasn’t worth the stress.

She looked around for a while for where to sit and I saw her eyes on a chair beside my Uncle and my wolf immediately growled.

I didn’t want her sitting close to anyone that wasn’t me or my brothers even if they were my uncle.

"Come sit here, Heaven," I said, tapping the chair that was just beside me.

Then she turned to me and froze on the spot. She looked at me like I was a demon.

"Come on kitten, I won’t bite you," I smirked.

I didn’t even know when I said what I said. My desire to be close to her just kept increasing the more she waited to come sit with me.

I tapped the chair again and she began to move close to me.

When she got closer, I drew out the chair for her to sit and I could feel everyone’s eyes on me.

I looked at her and she saw really beautiful. It took all my strength to stop when wolf to stop howling bacause he wasn’t we to feel Heaven. Even though it was just a little.
