Fated to the Alpha–And His Triplet Brothers-Chapter 274: Gabrielle
Aurora’s POV
"And why are you trying to go over the fence?" a soft voice asked behind me.
I spun around.
It was the blind girl.
My heart lurched. "I—I’m just trying to run away."
"Run away?" she repeated gently. "But why?"
"It’s a long story," I muttered, rubbing my arms. "I just... I need to get out of here right now. Do you know any other exits besides this wall?" I glanced up helplessly. "I can’t climb it."
"I’m sorry," she said. "Even though I know another exit, I can’t tell you. You’re trying to escape. Helping you would get me in trouble."
"Please," I begged.
I knelt to her level and grabbed her hands desperately. "Look at me. I’m suffering—"
"I can’t look at you," she interrupted. "I’m blind."
I froze, heat flooding my face. I stood up quickly. "Right. I’m sorry."
"It’s fine," she said softly. "I can still see you."
I blinked. "What? But you just said you’re blind."
"I am blind," she said. "I can’t see the way most people can. But I can see the things others can’t."
She tilted her head toward me. "I can see your energy... and it is faint. And Lucien is right. You are a woman."
My stomach dropped to my feet. God.
How many people had Lucien told already? He found out minutes ago and now half the High House probably knew. By tomorrow, the walls themselves might be whispering.
"Don’t worry," she added quickly. "I won’t tell anyone. Even without Lucien, I would have known."
"How?" I whispered.
"Your energy," she said calmly. "It’s obvious. You’re a witch."
My heart slammed against my ribs. "How do you know that?" I nearly shouted. "You— you’re not supposed to know that. How— you’re blind— how are you seeing all this?"
"I told you," she said, still calm, "I can see things most people can’t."
I panicked and grabbed her shoulders, pulling her closer as I clamped a hand lightly over her mouth. "Please," I whispered harshly. "You can’t tell anyone. If you say anything—"
She gently removed my hand. "I won’t tell," she said again, firmer this time. "Not even my mother. Lucien knows you’re a woman and he told me and Damien... but none of us know you’re a witch. That secret is safe with me."
Her voice softened. "You seem very powerful. Of all the witches I’ve sensed, your energy is different. Stronger. Brighter."
She lifted one hand and lightly touched the air near my hair, as if feeling an aura only she could see. "Your energy shines. And... it feels connected to mine."
I blinked rapidly. "Connected? How?"
"In a fascinating way," she said. "Like me and you... we have a history. Or will have."
She smiled softly — a knowing, unsettling, beautiful smile.
"I’m guessing that’s what your energy is telling me."
She held my hand suddenly, her blindfold turning toward my face.
"You and I," Gabrielle whispered, "are going to have a history together."

"History? I’m sorry, but how do you know that?" I asked, looking at her, trying to see if she was really blind or only pretending.
"I am Gabrielle, the park’s White Wolf," she said calmly. "I’m presuming you don’t know what a White Wolf is."
"A White Wolf? No, I don’t," I admitted.
She continued, "A White Wolf is a wolf that does not actually have a wolf spirit inside them. They are the wolf themselves. Do you know the term ’Moon Goddess’?"
"Yes," I said. "I’m very familiar with the Moon Goddess."
"I am... a mini Moon Goddess," she said softly. "Some call me the Moon Goddess herself. Some call me her incarnation. Some call me a miniature version. But all those names are only shades of the truth. Even I don’t fully know what I am. All I know is that I am connected to the Moon Goddess herself."
She paused as if listening to something only she could hear.
"And according to all the White Wolves that have ever existed, my powers seem to be the brightest. The power inside me cannot even be controlled by my soul, because my soul is weak. As you can see, I’m blind. But still, I’ve always been afraid that I wouldn’t be able to control my powers."
She lifted her chin slightly.
"But seeing you today has calmed me. The way your energy speaks to me... I know that you and I have something together. A history. Something we must do together. And since I’ve seen that, I am reassured now. Thank you, Eric."
"It’s Aurora," I corrected her.
She already knew I was a woman and a witch. It only made sense for her to know my real name too.
"I will keep that in mind," she said. "So, the other man who came here with you... that one is a man for sure. Who is he?"
"He is my husband," I said.
"Your husband?" she repeated. "Wow. You should be very careful. Don’t worry... you now have me as your friend. If your secret is ever at risk of being revealed, I will shield you. I owe you one."
"You owe me one?" I asked.
"Yes. You have already calmed my heart. I was always afraid of how my soul would handle my power, because my soul is weak. But seeing you today removed that fear. So that means I owe you. And I will make sure I save you in a time of need."
She turned away. "I must leave you now. And I know you’re not going anywhere—there’s no other exit. Every exit has wolf guards. You might as well return to the party."
She walked away gracefully.
Such a powerful young girl. Even though she is blind, I can feel the power in the way she talks, in the way she moves. Her strength must be unbelievable. And she also said she and I have something together... that my power calls out to hers.
What could we possibly have together?
I, Aurora—a witch.
And she, Gabrielle—a White Wolf.
What could our connection possibly be?
Then I saw Leon appear out of nowhere, scanning the area. He stopped when he found me.
I finally took a deep breath. This man was looking for me.
He rushed down to me and grabbed my hands. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
"We need to leave now."
"What? Why?"
"No questions, Aurora. We need to leave. We just need to find somewhere to stay for a while and then leave immediately."
"I don’t understand, Leon. Why this sudden need to leave?"
"Because I can’t explain. People from New Orleans are here."
"New Orleans? Where is that?"
"I don’t have time to be explaining, but we need to leave now," he said. And seeing how tense he looked, I didn’t have time to ask more questions. He just held my hands and started pulling me.
While we were walking back—well, while Leon was dragging me—I passed by Gabrielle. She stopped and gazed at me with a small smirk on her face. I couldn’t even see her eyes behind the blindfold, but somehow I knew she was staring at me powerfully. It was hard for me to drag my gaze away from her.
Just then, the Alpha stepped in front of us, blocking our path.
"Oh, Leon! Where have you been? Where are the ladies I gave to you? I haven’t seen them. And why are you with your friend when you’re supposed to be fucking the she-wolves I gave to you?"
"Alpha, I’m sorry. I have to leave now," Leon said.
"Leave?" The Alpha frowned. "I’m sorry, but you can’t. My wife told me about some people who came here looking for two people—which I’m guessing is both of you. So I’m sorry, but you two cannot leave the High House until we confirm the pack leaders who came here aren’t looking for you."
"They are not," I said quickly. "They are looking for two men. They are looking for a man and a woman. We are two men."
The Alpha’s eyes narrowed on me. Then he turned to Leon. "How did you know? How did you know what they’re looking for?"
Leon shot me a terrified look before turning back to the Alpha. "I was there when they were talking to the Queen."
"So why are you acting so suspicious, Leon? Is anything wrong? Is there something I need to know?"
"Not at all, Your Majesty," I said before Leon could slip. "Nothing is wrong."
The Alpha didn’t look convinced. "Still, both of you are not leaving. And you, Eric—you’re supposed to be with my wife. What are you doing with Leon? I’m starting to think the both of you are getting a little too close for my liking."
"Too close for your liking?" I muttered under my breath, but he heard it.
The Alpha’s stare hardened. "The both of you are not leaving."
