Fated to the Alpha–And His Triplet Brothers-Chapter 276: Forbidden love.
*~Leon’s POV~*
By the time I arrived back, I saw Caspian lifting Aurora on his shoulder, carrying her as she was jerking her feet. I saw them from the window. Damn it, I was too late.
By the time I found the exit yesterday night, I was already tired. I just sat down to take a little rest. I didn’t know when I dozed off. And now, I’m doomed, I said, biting my lips in anger.
"Damn it, what have I done? I’m a damn fool," I said.
And then, I felt a hand grab me from the back. I turned around to see Kildin staring at me.
"Nice to see you again, Leon. I finally found you."
I immediately released his grip off me and pushed him away slightly.
"What are you doing here?"
"I should be asking you that question. What are you doing here? Do you know the amount of people that are distressed—distressed and looking for you right now? Why you escaped with Aurora? Huh? You have a lot of explaining to do, as the Beta of the pack," Kildin said.
And then I fired back at him, "I don’t want to go back home. I don’t care about the Beta position, I don’t care about the pack, I don’t care about anything. Just let me and Aurora be."
Cayden tried to slap me but then I held his hand mid-air.
"Are you fucking out of your mind?" he growled at me. "Why didn’t you say that when you were getting married to Sophia or when you were becoming the Beta of the pack? So when you fell into trouble and you decided to run away with Aurora, come to another pack and start misbehaving, I promise you, you will be punished for that."
He said, and then I released his hand.
"I don’t care about you, but you are not taking me back to that damn pack," I said.
And then he smiled.
"I will take you by force or by peace."
"I said you are not," I growled.
Cayden said, growling as usual and controlling, which I hate so much. And then I shook my head.
"I’m not going with you." I gritted my teeth
"Fine. You chose the hard way." He titled his head.
He smacked my neck and my gaze felt blurry. Damn it, he hit my weak spot. I fell to my knees and then he waved at me.
"See you at home."
My eyes fluttered open. I saw, I felt a hand hold me closer.
"Oh my God, my husband is awake!"
I looked closely to see it was Sophia. She was crying. And then, I bit my lips.
Damn it. Sophia. Of all people, it’s Sophia that is waking me up.
"Holy shit," I said, my gaze, my voice blurring with pain. "Why? Why? Why am I back home?"
I gazed around to see if I was really in New Orleans. And I am.
And I immediately flew to Aurora. How is she doing now? Her memories, all of it.
Holy shit.
I immediately stood up and turned to Sophia.
"Where is Aurora?"
She wiped the tears off her face.
"You just... you were just found. Pharaoh, you were just found. And you were just brought back home. And the first thing you would ask your wife is where your ex-lover is? Where is your decency, Leon?" she fired at me.
But I just ignored her.
"Where is Aurora?" I asked again.
And then she stood rigid.
"Don’t you have any shame in you?"
I grabbed her hand and pinned her to the wall.
"I promise you, I would tear your head off now if you don’t tell me where Aurora is."
She shivered when she realized I was no joke. And then she turned.
"She is in her chamber. She is with Alpha Hazel," she said.
And then I pushed her away as she fell to her knees.
I immediately started rushing towards there. But then I was stopped. But then, I was stopped by two people.
Lilith and Alice.
Alice gazed at me, her face burning with fury. She walked towards me and then gave me an outstanding slap on my face that I held my cheek.
"How dare you? Not only did you take my sister away from me, you also wiped her memory off. And you turned her into a man. You cut off her hair. And you did horrible things to her. Now my sister is covered with marks and bruises. Are you seriously out of your mind?" Alice said.
And then I blinked.
"I promise you, I can explain."
"Explain what? Tell me. Explain what?"
Lilith held her hand.
"Calm down, Alice. What do you have to say, Leon?" She turned to me.
"We were running away from the demons. And we didn’t know how to come back here. The only option was to run away from this place. We needed to go to a new place. And that park was a new place."
"You could have informed us," Lilith said. "You running away without telling anyone is the worst mistake to do. You informing us, we would not have killed you or taken anything away from you. But you stealing a whole Aurora from us is bad, Leon. And very unreasonable of you. You will be punished by the park. Do you know that’s right?"
"I don’t care about the punishment," I said. "I just need to see Aurora right now. Please get me to Aurora."
"Aurora is leaving this park immediately after she recovers. I am taking her back to our homeland. She has done enough. Whatever love story you have in your head about her ends today," Alice fired at me.
And I shook my head.
"No. No, no, no."
"Very much yes."
I heard Cayden’s voice behind me, and my stomach growled. If he had not brought me to this place, this would not have happened.
Anger rose in me. And then I rushed and I gave him a blow that sent blood flying away from his mouth.
He held his mouth and he looked at me, his eyes blazing with anger. He was about to tear my head off when we heard a distracting noise.
"Papa."
I turned to see little Heather. She was now trying to walk. And then she fell on her knees and started crawling.
Lilith immediately rushed to Heather and lifted her up from the ground, and then covered her eyes, while Kayden was still blubbering with immense anger, but he had to calm down. And then Alice walked over to him, and then slightly pushed him away, while I just stood there.
I told Lilith, "Please, I need to see Aurora. You guys will not understand. I need to just see her."
"You have been forbidden from ever seeing her. If you think Aurora gets her memory back, do you think she will forgive you? Do you think she can look at you the same, and then bless your heart over making her life miserable? Leon, you cut her hair."
"I didn’t," I fired back at Lilith. "I did not. I would never do that to Aurora. Why would you guys think I would cut Aurora’s hair? I am not that wicked. I promise you, I am not behind all of this. If anything, I saw Aurora cut her own hair and wipe up her own memory because she wants to live free, because she wants to live away from all of us. And then I reintroduced myself to her, and became the version of myself that she wants me to be, and I have always been happy."
"She was happier as Herrick. With Herrick."
"With Herrick," Lilith said, cutting me off. "That’s the version of herself she created. Taking her freedom away from her is the worst thing we can do to Aurora. Aurora deserves peace. Let us give her that peace, then let us take off her memory."
Lilith rubbed her knuckles together as she turned to me.
"I’m very sorry, Leon, but I think Alice has already begun the spell. Before tonight, Aurora will get her memory back, and they will be leaving tomorrow. Because of you, Aurora is no longer accepted in New Orleans."
"What?"
"Sophia has already convinced the council to make Aurora never stay here again."
"How is that possible?" I asked. "What power does Sophia have to convince the council not to let Aurora stay? Why would Caspian and Hazel let that happen?"
"It is not Caspian and Hazel. And it is because the entire elders have deemed Aurora bad."
"What?" My eyes flew open.
"The entire council, the elders, said Aurora has caused many problems for them. Aurora brought the demons. Aurora did so many horrible things. They put so many lies in her name, which I’m suggesting it is your wife and her family that did that."
She let out a deep breath.
"I think it is time to let her go, Leon. And you cannot follow her to wherever she’s going because her sister will be with her. And I must say, her sister despises you so much and blames you for everything. You need to end the love story with Aurora. You and Aurora can never work."
