Fated to the Alpha's Sons: An Omegas Rise to Fame-Chapter 43: You Have My Blessings.
Chapter 43: You Have My Blessings.
Bethany was beyond happy when she saw the sun rise far across her big window, which she’d been sitting on for over three hours due to the overwhelming anticipation that bubbled continuously in her chest.
After the talk with her mother yesterday, she felt lighter. The weight of their absence was easier to carry and she had a very bubbly dinner with her family.
But as soon they said goodnight to each other, and everyone retired to their rooms, it came crashing down on her again.
Piece by piece.
She tried to chin up, be strong for her mates, but like every other advise, it was easier said than done.
So after a while of turning restlessly on her bed, she decided to go sit on her window pane, her legs hanging on the other side as she spoke to herself, and well every other animal around her that cared to listen.
She considered going for a run, but Maria wasn’t feeling like it so they stuck to the window pane, the chilly night welcoming them with open arms.
Now sighting the sun rise far across her window made her feel happier than ever. She might not be spending the day with all three of them, but she couldn’t care less, she was more than eager to jump into Troy’s arms.
Their lack of proximity was driving her nuts.
She climbed down from her window, making a beeline to her bathroom, a cheerful song humming softly in her head.
She did her business quickly and was stuck in front of her wardrobe, at war with herself. She couldn’t decide on what to put on.
’They wouldn’t care what you put on, Bethany.’ Maria chirped.
"Well, I do care." Beth responded out loud. "I have to look good. Maybe not too good, but presentable, atleast." She said, her eyes scanning her wardrobe.
’You can call your, Mom.’ Maria suggested, licking on her paws, like she was cleaning them up.
"Naa, she did that for me last time, can’t put her through that again. I think I’d go for this top, and this jean trousers." She said, pulling out a sleeveless crop top that was decorated with lots of fringe, and a high waist deep blue jean trouser.
’That’s pretty.’ Maria commented, approval in her eyes.
"Alright then, let’s get dressed." She said, unwrapping her towel and starting her routine.
When she was dressed, she stood by her mirror taking in her outfit. Smiling in approval, she applied some oil to her wavy hair, considering if she should straighten it.
’Don’t even think of it.’ Maria chipped lowly, causing Bethany to burst in laughter.
Maria always hated the idea of using hot combs and relaxers on her hair, said it was plain stupid.
Bethany’s phone vibrated on the table beside her causing her to freeze at once. Her heart rate increased immediately, so much she could literally hear it from within.
Swallowing, she picked it up, unlocking it, opening her messaging app immediately.
She had one unread message from Troy and for a second the thought of him cancelling flashed in her mind.
"No, he wouldn’t do that." She thought to herself.
And luckily, he didn’t.
He texted saying he was five minutes away, and that he couldn’t wait to see her.
As she re-read the message, she couldn’t help the small smile that broke through her lips.
He was coming.
He was coming to get her.
She was so close to jumping in excitement, when she heard a small knock on her door.
"Is he here already?" She asked herself, but was muted when she heard her mother’s voice from the other side of the door.
"Honey. Are you awake?" Jen asked, her voice was still abit groggy.
"Yes." Beth replied, abit louder than normal. On registering her daughter’s reply, she opened the door quietly, letting herself in, a wie smile appearing on her lips when she saw her daughter was already dressed.
"Eager much?" Jen asked, teasingly, leaning on the closed door.
"Mom.." Beth groaned, rolling her eyes.
"What? You’re already dressed and waiting and it’s just few minutes past six." Jen pointed out. "Couldn’t help it, huh? You didn’t even sleep last night." She said, taking in the rings beneath Bethany’s eyes.
"Well, I couldn’t sleep, so I sat by the window all night." Bethany admitted, shrugging, brushing down her wavy hair softly.
"You could have told me, I would have made you some tea that would’ve helped." Jen said, moving away from the door. "Come sit." She said pointing to the small stool in front of her small dressing table.
"You’ve already done enough, Mom." Beth said, sitting on the stool, handing Jen the brush.
"It’s my duty to assist you, love. Never feel guilty for making me do it, else I’d feel useless." Jen said, packing half of her hair in a sleek ponytail, not leaving any bit out except her bangs while the rest is left to cascade down her shoulders.
She picked a gold necklace that had a tear drop pendant from Bethany’s tiny jewelry box, placing it around her neck and hooking it.
"Okay, Mom." Bethany muttered, looking at her through the mirror, her hand reaching for the pendant.
"Looks like you ride is here." Jen said when they heard a car drive into their front yard, followed by a soft blare."But you’d have to wait a little. Your dad would want to speak to him." She said, her hands on Bethany’s shoulders.
"But Mom-"
"Just give them some time, they are men. Let them talk." She said softly. "Besides, we have to do something about those bags under your eyes.
Jen prepped her daughter’s face before applying a bit of concealer on her under eyes, a little blush and contour, then blended them out. She applied a bit of cherry lip gloss on her lip, but Bethany who was completely oblivious of what going on, just let her Mom perform her magic, while her mind raced.
What could her father possibly say to a future Alpha?
She was well aware of how protective her father could be when it came to her, so she feared so hard that he was going to piss their future Alpha off.
"Bethany? Bethany." She heard her mother call, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"I told you, it’s just a discussion, Bethany. They are men. They can handle themselves." Jen tried to explain.
"But you know how protective Dad can be. I really don’t want any problems, Mum." She pleaded.
"And no problems you shall receive, dear. Your dad isn’t foolish, and neither are your mates. Just have faith in them, honey." Jen pacified. "You look great, by the way. Let me get you some footwear." Jen said, heading to fish out something suitable.
"Here. This is perfect." She said, handing her a pair of suede black flats, that had a little heel beneath it. "Put it on, they are done talking."
On hearing that, she quickly put her tiny feet in, and stood up from the seat.
"I’d see you downstairs. Don’t forget your purse, phone, tissues , perfume and wallet." Jen listed, already opening the door.
"Thanks, Mom." Beth said.
"Anytime, baby." Jen responded, walking out the room and shutting the door, leaving her to her silence.
Beth put everything her mother listed into her purse, spritzing a bit of perfume on her self.
Sighing, she walked back to her mirror, her purse hanging over her shoulder, taking in her appearance.
"Finally." She muttered, a wide grin on her lips, her heart pounding twice as fast.
____________
Bethany walked quietly down the stairs, into the living room, her head too fuzzy to register what kind of conversation her parents were having with her mates.
On getting to the bottom of the stairs, she looked around and found them talking casually, seated around their dining table.
"Good morning, Dad." She greeted, going to his side for a hug, her eyes going to Troy’s for a second.
"Good morning, Bunny." He said softly, pulling her in. "I hope you slept well?" He asked rubbing the back of her palm softly with his thumb.
"Yes, I did. And you?"
"I did too. You look good. I’ve never seen you look this good." He teased, giving her a smug smirk.
"Nice one, Grandpa." She teased right back, taking her hand from his.
"I’m a proud one, so shame’s on you." He teased proudly. "So would you be coming back today? Or you’d be with them for a few days?" He asked.
"Uh.." She muttered, turning to Troy who nodded, but she couldn’t understand. "I’m supposed to see Troy today, Theo tomorrow and Tristan next tomorrow, then on Friday, I’d stay with them till Sunday morning."
"Oh, then you should pack a bag then. So that you wouldn’t have to keep coming back continuously." Ray reasoned.
"I didn’t -"
"She doesn’t have to." Troy chipped in, cutting her off. "We have everything taken care of already, unless you have some other personal things you’d need to carry like your laptop or something." Troy stated, his gaze on her.
"Uh.. I don’t have a laptop, my phone is sufficient." Beth said, skeptically, her gaze narrow.
"Then we are good to go!" Troy said heartily, turning to face Raymond, looking at Jen briefly, appreciation in his gaze. "We can leave now. Thank you for permitting us. We are truly grateful." He said firmly, a wide smile on his face.
"It’s okay. So long as she’s returned completely good and in one piece." Raymond said, giving him a warning glare.
"You have my word, Sir." He assured.
"Then you have my blessings." Raymond stated firmly, placing a hand on his shoulder.
