Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild-Chapter 429 - 235: Wood of Life (Part 3)
"...Moreover, if I transport it myself, I still have to negotiate with the shipyards. Some yards don’t have external liaison points in the docks; the windows are all set at the unloading docks. Carrying it myself isn’t much more convenient; I still have to go to the docks to negotiate."
Li Ang finally found a reason to maintain his dignity.
"Yeah, yeah."
Dorothy leaned closer: "Forget about it this time, how about considering it on the cloud bed next time?"
She blushed and chuckled: "When leaving the Holy City in a rush, couldn’t find the right waterproof materials; they were either too rough or as hard as iron."
Li Ang looked at her indifferently.
"W-What? What do you mean by that look?"
Dorothy shrank back a little: "You don’t want to say something like, ’Give it a rest, you little fish, always thinking about this, can you manage it just once?’ right?"
"You’re already answering quickly, quite an improvement."
The Half Elf brushed her rainbow-colored long hair and snorted, "Just wait, I will definitely find a solution."
With the ability to fly, the labyrinth of lake roots, which used to take more than a day to traverse, returned to the starting point very quickly.
By the time they landed, it was already getting dark.
In the latter half of the journey, since the shipbuilding matter was resolved, Dorothy had already started fantasizing about what the ship would have. It had been a while since they last discussed this topic, and as she recalled previous requirements, she weaved new ideas.
Of course, some of her physical requirements were simply impossible to achieve, like having a room with a balcony directly accessible from outside the ship to feel the azure sky — that’s absolutely not a design the Flying Airship could accomplish.
"Eh? But obviously, Contan Helm’s observation ship has this design?"
"You said it’s an observation ship, does it have speed? Can it withstand Demon attacks?"
For room requirements, ALulu wanted to be closer to the kitchen. Li Ang somewhat believed it wasn’t for sneaking food but because she was the ship’s appointed cook.
Andasu, on the other hand, just wanted more space or additional rooms for her, as she wanted a Mechanical Engineer’s workshop room that could at least fit a small Flying Airship and have access to the outside.
Zoe? Zoe was too busy flying freely over the lake surface.
Once landed, everyone was stretching their bodies. Dorothy smiled and exclaimed, "Another thrilling day, not bad."
Discussing and imagining future life put her in a great mood. She had also contributed a lot in the earlier battles; perhaps today’s experience matched her original intent for traveling, completely saying goodbye to monotonous, dull, repetitive work.
"Eliminating Demons and achieving the goal feels wonderful."
ALulu’s eyes fell on the cargo ship carrying wood in the distance. The beginning of the shipbuilding matter was accomplished nicely, which made her happy throughout the journey.
After leaving the Flashing Field, they encountered situations they could hardly participate in. But the experiences on Mengze Island perfectly matched her expectations.
"Going easy on such big Demons in fights is probably better," Dorothy sighed.
"How can you help the master lead the team to the summit like that?" Andasu said.
The White Wolf, with a serious expression, said, "Every battle is appropriate training. To become stronger, this is a necessary path..."
Before she could finish, Dorothy stepped away quickly.
The White Wolf’s words got stuck in her throat, and she shook her tail, looking resentfully at Li Ang.
"I’ll go hand the wood over to the shipping company."
Li Ang rubbed his temples.
Each one of them had strong personalities and their own reasoning; it was fortunate they weren’t arguing.
There was still someone flying up there.
As if borrowing Li Ang’s strength, Zoe, experiencing the joy of real flight, tried to use Yufeng to make herself fly at a higher speed in Celestial Maiden Form, having a lot of fun as if acquiring the habits of a flying creature, temporarily forgetting to land.
Under the astonished gazes of the shipping personnel, Li Ang placed the heavy logs on the ground one by one, watched them mark them, and accepted the corresponding shipping orders and put them in place.
As he turned his head, he saw Otto strolling over from a distance.
